I've printed a half dozen of these and built 3 of them. I simply used a GBFans soundboard and wired my own static LEDs into that and it works just fine thanks to the RGB packs having FAR less sophisticated lighting than the movie packs. I also used translucent blue TPU for the thrower tip so no one gets stabbed accidentally by hard plastic AND it glows when I activate the stream effects while looking pretty solid when everything is off.
I was trying to get a Ghostbusters proton pack 2 years ago but the one I bought from a Halloween store was broken when I bought it I'm just trying to get a decent Ghostbusters costume so I could go out with my little nephew this year or next year I'll pay for it I just need to know how much it'll cost to have one I don't care if it's got lights or sound as long as it looks like the real Ghostbusters pack I don't care
Do u have a video or list of what u all used
When I was a child I had a proton pack. Oh yeah, it was top of the line. Had a yellow styrofoam proton beam. Nothing but the best. It was pretty, pretty awesome.
That is seriously impressive. If i had the cash and space to work in, you would have convinced me to try my hand at this myself!
Holy crap. I need a RGB pack now.
WOW! That printer puts out some nice pieces. Even the "reject" pieces look really good. I've always want to build my own pack, but in al honesty I'm not that much of a handy man (I know what to look for etc., but I'm just not great at building, and a 3d printer simply is not within my budget). So I love my Haslab pack, spirit pack, and the pack I won in a raffle at a comic con a few years back. I have a lot of respect for folks who are good at that sort of thing (and envy). So seeing how nice the pieces that came off that 3d printer are... Well, 6 year old me would have (and is) went crazy over it. Keep posting the build videos. I cant wait to see how the rest of this pack turns out.
Oh for a second I thought it was going to be a REAL proton pack! I had this idea when i was a kid to disassemble and old CRT TV set, rip out the electron gun and retrofit it inside the proton blaster. Maybe use some sort of mirroring system to focus the electron beam into a clear focused stream of electrons. I was unsuccessful.
Im excited to see how the trap & proton pack will look!
That's very cool, especially I'm gonna be a Ghostbuster for Halloween this year. 😊
Amazing stuff! Looks fantastic!
I'm amazed beyond the capacity for rational comments.
The 3D printer in the video sounds very interesting and the way it prints out the proton pack looks really good when it came out! And the real Ghostbusters proton pack building process looks amazing like very incredible! It's Epic! And I love your channel Jason I've watched it since you're first video awesome video Jason!👻🚫😁
This is just amazing!!!!!! Well done!!
One word….AWESOME! Well done! Will be watching
That is so freaking cool!!!!!!!!!!!
THATS SO AWESOME
SUPER COOL!!!
It looks fantastic!
Awesome Video
Thanks!
@@GhostbustersNews can’t wait for Part 2
Is it me or does the RGB looks better and makes more sense in practicality?
Love it love it. If I would do it, I would make it more realistic one and the cartoon colour one.
Looks AWESOME 🔥
man seeing this fallowing paterpon for the gear abnd makes me want to try to 3d desing my egb pack i desing
Just built myself one great project ! Thanks for the awesome videos.
Dude that is freaking AWESOME!! I can't wait to see this fully built 🚫👻
Don’t worry, Jason, I bet you’re gonna fly through the building process. Cannot wait to see your final outcome. 🚫👻🎃🎃
Looking good! I love it
That looks awesome! I made an RGB Pack out of an old 80% scale Spirit Halloween Proton Pack, but this just blows my mind!
This could be a whole new channel for you, Print with Jason where you do a complete step by step video for printing GB props. Please
Gonna have more projects featured here on the channel. Slimer candy bowls, upscaled toys, etc.
the bambu stuff makes it easy I have one.
Can you share what filaments you’re using? I started the trap last year but your colors look so much closer!
Yes! Upcoming build vid will be providing a rundown.
Awesome man! 👻
WOW thats a really pretty blue
I have ripped some of the sound effects that are exclusive to the cartoon. I always feel like someone can still make a more accurate lights and sound for an rgb build.
I wouldn't be surprised with this news that Bambu printers go on the rise.....I want one now.
Ok, this is so cool!
I will be interested to see a trap and pke meter to go with the RGB pack. Just remember, next year is the Extreme ghostbusters equipment.😂
Trap is currently printing alongside the printer. Already have an RGB PKE, but may make another just to better match the metallic look.
Halloween in 32 days and counting.
I ain’t afraid of no ghost chain
just curious, do you have a video of modding the spirit to an RGB? I ... (my budget) would be happy with a blue spirit pack tbh.
Did a quick search and was surprised how affordable that printer is
Yeah! Honestly, cheaper the a RGB replica Proton Pack, so why not?!
I've wanted one of these, but I had the same issue you did with 3d printing. Unfortunately I can't fix it by buying a $1500 printer :P
What speed did u slow down ur print to get that extra shine to it...
What did you use for the tubing between the pack and wand?
Would you have a list of the filament part numbers and item names you used?
Yeah, in the follow-up vid I'll be gathering that info since requests have been coming in for it.
What bugs me about RGB pack is the color. Early days the cartoon started with black colors. Then middle of its run it was dark blue. Then late in the series it was blue. Synonymous with the toys colors. I hated that. To me its either black or dark blue. Anything brighter is just wrong to me.
Do you have a link to the Adam Savage video?
Mr. Ghostbusters news how long would it take to build another one of those proton packs and how much would it cost I would love to have one to go home ween trick-or-treating with my baby nephew he wants me to dress up as a ghostbuster but I don't have the proton pack or the equipment to get it how much will it cost me to have one made I will raise the money and have it sent to you just let me know where and how to send you the money for the proton pack please thank you and stay away from The Ghost and stay cool dude
Won't be making these for sell, especially given they're not my files. Also, it's a lengthy build, and looking forward to having it finished.
Can you please do a video on the kits because i want to build a proton pack for my son and I don't have access to a 3d printer my son is a ghost buster and he is autistic and I want to surprise him he will freak out in a good way please help please please please please thank you for everything you do my son watches everything you do he's only 6 years old andi just want to be a good dad and nurture his imagination if you can't help I totally understand thanks for everything
Sadly the kits are a bit pricy, and given I've already started this build, likely won't be doing any videos on those. There are a few listed through Etsy.
I built one out of cardboard, but it's nowhere close to your 3D print job. Very cool Jason.
I love it the real Ghostbusters cartoon 80's
I like it protor pack cool👍
