What a save 😂
Is it possible to catch a toeside edge on a tube like this? My biggest fear trying this is that I will be leaned too far forward and end up going head over heals
I’m sure it’s possible never happened to me personally, most people who ride rails very often actually detune their edges so they don’t catch on kinks
You definitely can catch your toe edge and go forward. It’s important to build up to something like this by working on easy boxes and tubes to get your balance and confidence.
I recently did this but on a steep urban down rail, on a flat ride on pipe I'd say its a lot less likely to do, feature I was on I had to pop a bit high and angle down, I didnt pop enough and over angled and ended up clipping my toeside and smashed my forearm into the feature, if you take it easy and don't go for scary features right away I'd say you can avoid that easily, I also wasn't hurt badly
It has happened to me on a pvc rail but never a metal tube.
That has been my biggest fear and is the reason I am always falling backwards. Thank you for asking this question because I was about to ask it. I recently watched a few videos about detuning boards, especially just in the middle where most perpendicular contact happens with a rail, and it makes sense to detune the middle of that toe side edge for this reason. I think I'm going to try it and make that fear go away! I'm on the mountain next week!
All he had to do was to slightly twist/drop one shoulder to keep one hand in front of his body and lean forward a bit. I learned that from watching a different SnowboardProCamp video.
Should i ride up to the boardslide on my toeside or heelside?
how do you do this without sliding out and breaking your tailbone?
armored shorts
and matching the angle of the rail
why he has no pain lol
Yo Esteban!
He had no fear going for that board slide!
How do you tie your mask like that? Do you use a T shirt?
yeah it is
