The fact that individuals in comas can *hear* sounds and *feel* different sensations from the “real world” and have it effect the dream like state of the individual in the coma is pretty damn mind blowing when you think about it. 🤯 One of my cousins was in a coma for 6 months, due to a car accident. When she woke up, she told me stories of how she’d be able to hear when someone was talking to her. When she heard her loved ones, she would experience good “dreams” and when she would hear individuals she didn’t know well, hospital staff, her “dreams” would be weird or scary. She also mentioned that at one point, whilst in the coma, she had a fever that spiked dangerously high, so the doctors/nurses surrounded her body with ice packs to help cool her body temperature. During that incident she had a “dream” where she was in Alaska, surrounded by snow & mountains & was actually feeling the cooling sensation from the ice packs. It’s pretty damn insane how our brain interprets different sounds, feelings, & sight. 🤯

When you are in a coma, you start to fall out of reality you can forget who you are, when I was in a coma, I lost who I was, but When I was in this coma I could still hear. It was horrible. I was in the coma for abouy 10 years. I kept fighting how I did it was by taking reality and turning it into my imagination. When I woke up I could not speek but I could see and hear. I am good now and better but those 10 years were awful.

When you are in a coma, you start to fall out of reality you can forget who you are, when I was in a coma, I lost who I was, but When I was in this coma I could still hear. It was horrible. I was in the coma for abouy 10 years. I kept fighting how I did it was by taking reality and turning it into my imagination. When I woke up I could not speek but I could see and hear. I am good now and better but those 10 years were awful.

I was in a coma, waking up in the hospital with tube down your throat is not a pleasant thing. Now I have optic nerve damage and some brain deficits from the coma. You wouldn’t think that would happen but it did. I just take things more slower lmao
When my dad was 28 he got into a car crash at the wheel and got airlifted to the hospital and if they got there 7 minutes later he would’ve been dead. He got to the hospital and they said he broke ALL the bones in his foot and broke his leg. He was in a coma for 3 days. He was on crutches for a year. A walking cast for half a year and the other half on a boot
