Everyone watching!! Andrea has become a close friend of mine. Chatting almost on a daily basis! I have raised finches over 30 years! Her dedication to there environment in a controlled avairy is absolutely fantastic! Attention to the detail of how they live and interact with there environment is shown here! This is absolutely (in my opinion) the best way to keep and breed finches. What a fantastic way to have your morning coffee inside this BEAUTIFUL AVAIRY! We all should learn alot from her dedication to the videos, and her details on feeding keeping finches. I could watch them all day! What a peaceful environment. In the world we live in right now! This is the best medicine for all our souls! Troy-Wi.
Wow! You have been able to capture the happiness and contentedness of these birds by their songs and in this very special place! Both my flock and I have enjoyed this video immensely, and I enthusiastically applaud what you are doing here. I have subscribed and will now go back to your other videos. Oh please keep this up as it is so difficult to find such an intelligent, responsible, caring and devoted birdkeepers like you. Bless you!
Oh An, what a fantastic video. The birds are stunning and the aviary is out of this world. Everything looks fantastic. I LOVE the new tree, it is so beautiful, and the birds love it too. I love the new violet eared waxbills, they are stunning and their songs, I could listen to them all day. I am so looking forward to seeing how all the birds get on with breading this year, so exciting. Thank you as always for sharing your aviary with us all. Seeing you have uploaded a new video is always a great joy.
Hi. Your finches are so fantastic aviary keep your birds happy life and good quality seeds and chopped vegetables and keep your birds healthy and hope to more breeding well. 🐦🌿🌾
I have been following closely and want to thank you so much for your content and inspiration! I am curious how much Free Form Habitat you buy at once? Also, do you have a go to for your faux greenery? The $$$ add up so quickly don't they! Thank you, Thank you, Thank YOU!
Thank you Amber! The epoxy comes in 2 parts, each either 1 or 5 gallon buckets. I have used both. It seems to store indefinitely as separate parts. The plants I get all over, including thrift stores, however I have found, I prefer to actually see/touch them rather than order online just to better assess how they will hold up. YES- my aviary and birdroom has cost a ridiculous amount. However because I average it over 30 years of waiting to build it, I find I can keep justifying it to myself…🤨
You have a beautiful Aviary Echo which I am taking a lot of inspiration from for my own Canary Aviary, can I ask if that is fake grass you have down on the floor?.....I have just been given some and just wanted to make sure it was safe to put down in my Aviary
Thank you Gayle- yes it is plain old astroturf. I have had no problems with it. It does benefit from a heat gun to prevent the edges from fraying and the birds do play with little pieces sometimes bit no tangling or ingesting issues that I am aware of
Thanks for the tip. I guess it is pretty obvious that I have made deliberate choices not to have live plants. Has been explained in previous videos so won’t repeat here but just letting you know I it was not an unintentional decision on my part.
Hi! I give mine a mix of equal parts, oystershell, bentonite clay, ground charcoal. They also get a vitamin/mineral powder from versele laga mixed in with eggfood when molting or feeding chicks. Don’t go too crazy, more is not always better with vitamin and mineral - especially if you put in their drinking water where they have to ingest it.
I can only guess. What species? I am guessing zebra finch? This is a common problem with that species as they can be quite aggressive with each other. Hoping you can separate them until you find a way to help them get along better!
@@Echosaviary thanks for that yeah it is a zebra finch I ended up separating them he's with another female and there getting on pretty well so far thanks again Craig
Hello beautiful aviary , 🐣🐦🦜🕊super collection of our brothers flying gems. What dimensions do you have? It is a pity that we are so far away, because I would buy some of the broods, I greet and invite you, come to me👍✌

Thank you Troy! I am always mindful that not everyone has the resources to create a space like the aviary- I feel very fortunate!
Hi Troy! Have been looking to find your question on the blue naped on my channel. Could you write a short “comment” on it so I can find it and replye😉

"there" should be "their" (2 x typos)

Try a Chinese windmill Palm (trachycarpus fortunii) they love making nests from the trunk fiber

Hi could you please tell me why my male finch keeps attacking the female all the time ?

99% fake

beautiful aviary , 🐣🐦🦜🕊super collection of our brothers flying gems. What dimensions do you have? It is a pity that we are so far away, because I would buy some of the broods, I greet and invite you, come to me👍✌
Hello and thank you! The Aviary is 12 feet by 16 feet. The apex is 10 feet high.
Strawberry always sing nice I got a pair and later on they were two males had to get females of course and made sure we're females not young males
Yeah, sexing strawberries can be tricky. Sometimes takes a long time for males to be obvious.
So much plastic ! Couldn’t there be a non-toxic small real tree they can chew on and eat the flowers when it blooms ?
Hi, yes there are many many non toxic trees, shrubs, grasses etc. easy to find lists on line of bird safe plants for aviaries.
I’m new to your site and will search for earlier you tubes that explain, thanks for your reply.
At 21:04 what is this yellow plant/tree called?
I made all of these plants/trees with either pvc tube/epoxy branches (or real manzanita branches in this case) plus artificial foliage attached.
