Lovely. I could watch this for hours I have a trio of quails like yours. They all live together in my budgie aviary. The female is brooding her eggs well. If they hatch out, can I leave her with the chicks with the 2 males in the same aviary, or will the males attack the chicks? Thank you. PS. what species of parrot finch is that? I would love some of them but can't get them in my country.
@@MrAviary thank you. I seem to have a strain of very placid quails as I can keep makes together no problems. The females also go broody easily..like chickens..I read or was rare for them to brood their own eggs. This is the first time I will let some hatch out, as several of my quails died of old age, one escaped, one was eaten by a snake and one died after getting a plastic string stick in this throat. I had 7 and am now down to 3. I want the young to be from mine as they have this good temperament.
probably a stupid question, but i have an small aviary, witch is about 1 meter long, 1,2 meters in width and 2 meters tall, can i have 5 doves and 5 button quails in there, in the summer time? BTW i live in Denmark so i know they cant be out there in the winter
It’s nice to hear the combination of both exotic and wild birds. Hearing the finches in the foreground with what sounds like a blue tit and a few others in the background. Very Nice!👍

No I would remove the two males if the chicks hatch most often the two males could not even live together normally. It's the tricolor Parrot Finch.

For the button quails I will just keep a pair. For 5 doves it depends on which species of doves.
@@MrAviary Thank you, it is ringneck doves
@@okaylars3248 Than I only would keep a pair also

The dominant wild bird is a great tit, he is singing in our garden every morning
