So beautifully performed, and the piano was almost as awesome as the vocals. No one currently on earth can come anywhere close to this level of talent. Too bad the livestream compression makes for poor sound. Mark needs to put this on his new EP, even if the second goal fell a little short. :)

Absolutely right. Marc's live vocals are consistently better than Freddie's. Certainly Freddie was a one of kind as a performer, but his voice was often too damaged to sing well. I think with today's "in ear" headsets, Freddie would have been able to sing better live and with less strain. After all, many times, I don't think he could hear himself over the screams of the crowds.
Freddie was not a trained singer, never took vocal lessons. Because he wasn't trained, Freddie developed painful throat nodules. He had to change the way he sang live on stage, even then he was still brilliant. Put Freddie in a studio with a rested voice, he'd conquer any trained singer. One of Freddie's last song with Queen, 'Don't Try So Hard' is proof of this.
