I was at this also. Everyone was looking forward to Smashing Pumpkins. They played 4 lackluster songs and this girl sang her HEART OUT. I just remember being in awe of her running back and forth across that huge stage and it not affecting her singing one bit.
I was there. 15 years old. I had come all the way from Nebraska primarily to see Bjork, because at that time she no other US dates. I spent the day in total awe, the whole lineup was amazing, but this set was worth the whole trip.
I was there! It was such a fantastic set. She was way too different for the Beastie Boy fans. Some were making fun of me in the crowd cause I was dancing like crazy.
Bummer. Bjork was the highlight of this whole show. This show was the first time I took her seriously outside of Beavis and Butt-Head. Like that shit bopped, but her performance here blew me away and I've been enamored for ~25 years.
I was there for this🙌 Red Hot Chili Peppers played Fugazi’s, In the Waiting room, half way into their set, epic weekend. I remember the power going out at the beginning of the Fugees set, but they freestyled for 20 minutes for those close enough to hear until power issue got fixed.
not sure but my guess is because this was a benefit and no one was getting paid their full fee (or possibly not at all?) and it's expensive to travel with a band who expects to get money for their efforts. Beck was also sans band and it was probably my favorite time seeing him
Logistics and money I guess. Or just a stripped down festival set. This performance was towards the very end of her Post Tour. Her original band consisted of Guy Sigsworth (keyboards), Leila Arab (mixing), Trevor Morais (drummer) and Coba (accordionist). None were present. Instead, Andy Turner and Ed Handley (Plaid) were doing keyboards and mixing.
I was at this for Beastie Boys, Tribe, Rage, Beck. But she BLEW ME AWAY!!!! Hearing her live is incredible.

cause she is special!!!
The people around me were there for Beastie Boys. I was the only one dancing in my spot.

Best weekend. Went to Live 105's BFD on that Friday and Free Tibet both Saturday and Sunday. My best friend lived on Fulton.
Music's tiniest MONSTER!
I can’t believe I wasn’t here. But I was probably at work within hearing distance feeling her from afar. Or riding my bike and singing along.
I was there. Someone threw something that flew past her and I have to admit I felt protective
Debo admitir que no me canso de ver este concierto, incluso ya hasta las poses que hace Bjork me las se jajaja, que increible y que hermosa voz tiene
I was there. In 97. Won tix in California. Best 3 days ever out in NY. I remember her running around, and sounding AMAZING
Yeah buddy!!
Great times!!
Dave from Vermont says Hi!
This version of hyperballad is enormously meditative.
She's a good dancer.
She's amazing

Interesting. I saw Bjork play at the Beijing Workers' Stadium in February that year.
15/16 June, 1996 at San Francisco.
Que alucinamte
Does anyone know why she didn't have her full band from the post tour here?

cause she did out of her heart thats it!
I like it that it's more raw!
I love her great voice and cute dance barefeet ❤👣.
Bro
Is that Leila Arab?
Yes, she worked with Bjork on her first two albums as well doing as some live gigs.
@@VoltaFlame yes I knew she worked with her on the first two albums, wasn't sure if I'd recognised her here.
.
This thing screams acid. In a good way.
Se nota como sufre para sacar la voz ,me encanta bjork pero aquí se lastimó demasiado
