I bought that camera and a few lenses when it first came out and the x-100 original one, all of which I still have and use. The original focusing speed with that lens was glacial . I shot a family event with it and resorted to using the 18? which had sufficient speed. I could actually have a several second conversation while that lens was focusing, it was unreal, that was all the original firmware and such back then. Anyway I shot the whole event at 6400 ISO in black and white, it came out nice. Years ago they made a Contax G series of cameras with some excellent Zeiss lenses, I have one of those as well. I bought that because I had become unhappy with the bulky slr designs that had evolved over the years. I liked things a bit more compact like the Pentax ME Super in terms of size. But with autofocus and such the slr designs morphed into supposedly better ergonomics, sizes increased. Anyway, I was always Jonesing for a digital Contax and the Fuji X-Pro series is as close as it got. Leica being a bit slow into digital and quite expensive for what it is. IMHO. Would love FF. Oddly, I tend to carry the old X-Pro 1 with me quite a bit. I have a version 2 and an Xt-2 as well but seem less partial to them. The new 40 mpix offerings are interesting but does one need giant disk sucking files? Canon offers RAW in different sizes and Fuji is behind the curve on that for sure. Thanks for the efforts! Not only do you live in an interesting place, you live in "interesting times". Best wishes!
Give me a full-frame camera, giga pixels of resolution, and the most expensive glass, and I still won’t be able to take photos half as good as these! 😍👍 gear does not maketh the photographer!

Is this lens is fast and sharp enough for a X-Pro1?
It should be, this lens was part of the original trio of lenses built for the X-Pro1 🧐
Ugh. I don’t need this lens but I want it
The lens, for all its quirks, is incredibly versatile 👍
