Mark is a legend but he’d probably hate ever being called as such. A true gentleman and down to earth man always giving his love to the fans.

Mark is Lengend that's for sure. He comes across as very honest and modest man. He classes himself as a popular Bass Player but he's more than that. He is the World's Best Bass Player without question. The Princess Trust House Band has him on Bass so that answers the question to why he's in the Princess Trust Band need I say anymore. Mark King is truly loved . Mark Godbless You Man Thumbs Up.

What a smart guy Mark is! He made, beside Mike Lindup, the best music in england in the 80's.

Something happen to me the other night after the concert in Stoke On Trent... and am trying to not let it bother me as I try to make sense of it. But it did happen and am going to talk about it !. After last night, the horrible experience I had after meeting Mark King, lead singer of Level 42, I walked away feeling like am in no rush to ever go to another Level 42 Concert and I certainly never want to ever meet that man Mark King ever again... All this took place in front of about twelve other fans... After Mark King signed his autograph for me and I had a picture with him, I asked him on the next tour after this one is completed.. would he think about adding my favourite song that I like out of all the Level 42 songs, Leaving me Now !. Next thing I know, Mark King suddenly Freaks the hell out,,, starts shouting, this is why I never meet people after a show, always saying, why you don't sing this, why you don't sing that... something I never actually said, what I said was, on the next tour after this current one, would he think about adding Leaving me Now... so no, I never said anything about a why this and a why that !!!. But as Mark King is freaking out on me, he then says FCUK this and starts walking to the tour bus entrance and then stops in front of the door. Mark King then turns around and points at me, he then orders me to go stand in a corner next to some other girl who he had also told to stand in a corner, like where in school or something. Next thing I know, Mark King tells his road crew, BEAT HIM UP, BEAT HIM UP !!!. The road crew say who ?, of which Mark King points directly at me... and says him !, him right there... beat him up !!. Next thing I hear is one of the road crew say, O.K... So am standing there waiting for this person to put there hands on me, to attack me... as I do not have VICTIM written on my head, it would have been a mistake for the other guy to put his hands on me !. I think all the other fans who were watching all this playout, had a look of shock and horror on there face to see there idol, hero behaving towards another fan like this of Level 42 music that,,,, I think the manager standing behind Mark King had a fast word in Mark King's ear... The next thing I hear is Mark King say... AM ONLY PULLING YOUR LEG PEOPLE !!, am just pulling your leg people, speaking to his fans watching him. Mark King then turns his attention back to me and says, mate... CHEER UP !!. Mark King is standing there smiling at me... So because I know I have a bunch of his fans also watching and looking at me, wondering what am going to do next... I act as the bigger man and walk towards Mark King and FIST BUMP him... But next thing I know, Mark King walks up to me and he says, come here, give me a cuddle and wraps him arms around me and hugs me tight... So again, because I know I have his fans watching all this... I say to Mark King, I will come again, I will come to another show and see you again... Of which Mark King says to me, PLEASE DO, PLEASE COME AND SEE US AGAIN and next time I will sing Leaving me Now for you... I turn round to walk away, as does everyone else making sure not to mention a word of what has just happened... I thank the man who took a picture for me and take the nearest escape. As am walking away, am trying to make sense of everything that had just taken place ???.. a feel very upset and angry at the same time. I am telling myself, I will never go to another Level 42 Concert again and I never want to be anywhere near that Mark King ever again... The excuse for his behaviour, that am telling myself... Mark King must of been drunk... he must have been drunk !!. When he came outside of the stage door, his behaviour was not that of someone sober and fully composed... he was swearing a bit, something I found a bit shocking... in all I found him to be a little somewhat cranky in his personality, a hell of a lot different to other famous stars I have met like Midge Ure who was very humble and incredibly giving, kind and completely decent. Nik Kershaw who was very laidback, giving and enjoyed a good conversation... But I guess all the big stars you meet are not all going to be like that... Mark King was telling people to beat me up... WTF !!!.,.,.

Yours is the only account of an unpleasant interaction with Mark that I've ever seen. I've read dozens of other stories from people who met him that talked about how humble, funny, and down-to-earth he is. I'm wondering if maybe he was somewhat tipsy, but also whether you just didn't get that he was acting a fool for the laughs. Also, I'd let Mark verbally abuse the hell out of me if it meant I got a big tight hug at the end!!!

You said it yourself at the end,, your basically one of those hopeless loyal fans that run to his defence, because your cringe in love with him... groupie 🤣🤣🤣@@OGBrawlerina

@@IamNOTyourSLAVE I want to clarify my statement regarding being verbally abused by Mark. The fact is, I wouldn't have taken his fussing seriously for one second! He's a big goofball, and I wouldn't have immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was actually trying to get his roadies to beat me up, that's a ridiculous level of defensiveness on your part. You could've given him the benefit of the doubt, as I would have, but you decided to be intractably offended, which is a peculiar personality trait you obviously possess.
