Hi Rutty, your story is very similar to mine. I too met my husband in Haiti while visiting my grandmother. Yes, Haitian families can be very protective of their girls. No matter how old you are. We've been married for 20 years now and you are inspiring us to follow our dreams of moving back to Haiti when our daughter graduates college. Thanks for sharing
I'm rolling how focused you were on 1992. As you know I met my husband in Haiti and he was born in 92. He was hesitant to tell me his age because he thought I would have a problem with it. If I focused on age I would've missed out on love. And lord parents...don't get me started. If I listened to my parents I would of again missed out on love. Both my parents apologized to my husband for not accepting him for me in the beginning, they love him.
Any Haitian woman who has made it to the point of marriage has jumped hell and high water to get to that point because our families literally try to sabotage it 😫😂until they realize it’s a real relationship. .. they want us to eventually get married but they despise dating. Lol.. can totally relate. Great story!
Girl, I know exactly what you talking about, it doesn't matter how old you are sometimes your family acts like you're a teenager it's a Haitian thing I guess.you’re doing amazing with your channel keep up the good work 🇭🇹.
It's not a Haitian thing lol it's all the Caribbean people all the foreigners thing lol I'm telling you I met my husband in Haiti myself in 2010 after high-school omg just like she say my family my mom omg they give me hell it came to the point where I was coming to haiti to visit him without my parents knowing love is love
Great story. One of my most adventurous relationships was with a guy I dated in haiti. We were living the life. One day in Port au Prince, the next day in Cap Haitian. We had long summer nights in Jacmel and toured the Citadel in Milo. Good times. Once we started dating in America everything changed. The stresses of life here in America does not allow you to live your best life. Anyways it was good while it lasted. Question- has Sammy ever lived in America with you before you moving to and if not, why?
I Think That A blessing To Find out that The You Were connected Since You Were Child And That You Didn't Had to force ANything, Just Let The Water Flow. Good Job Guys. Congratulation To you Guys @Samybeatz And @ruttyb
Aouch, your channel is bitter sweet. I'm a Gonaives/Gros-Morne girl and miss everything so much. I also lived a year in Cap-Haitian. Your family was right to be scared. When teens, young adults leave to go to Port-au-Prince, they have good intentions to study and make something of themselves. But sometimes things get hard, they can't make it on their own and they get recruited in gangs as a survival route.
Both of yall families know each other well. And she held u when u was baby. Yall relationship destined to go far. Although your Big brother was Hating. 😆
Beautiful Story. But sorry, I have an unrelated question. Haiti likes to measure land in "Centième", how much "quare-foot" is 1 Centième? For the life of me I cannot find it on Google.
Ruth, that was not your mother’s fault ,she suffered from haitian parents syndrome. We aren’t like parents from some other places who don’t care about who their kins chose for spouse . As you very well know, when you say I do, you are committed for life, and it’s hard to travel the road of life with a bag. I am glad Samy turns out to be a good husband. Otherwise, I would personally explore your world because you are a great woman.
Love don't care about 1992 sis lol my husband is older than me and I was so nervous I'm like sheeshhh homeboy is way too old for me but my heart was like nah sis I'm good right here lol 13 years strong 3 kids marry and I couldn't be happier
You almost missed your blessing because of 1 year age difference. I honestly don’t know how Haitian women gets married, parents and social expectations places so much restrictions on women dating. I’m glad you have him a chance.
Love is love it doesn’t matter where you meet the person, some people need to realize that. We need a part 2 to your beautiful love story. What makes you go back to Haiti to live there permanently? Why didn’t you bring him to the USA instead since there are more opportunities here in the US?

Girl not me😅…well not at 24 at least. I still had enough time to look for love. I would have just been on to the next lol

I live in the U.S but I want my future wife to be Haitian.
Yes, that video will be coming soon. I am starting a series all about moving to Haiti.
Beautiful Story. But sorry, I have an unrelated question. Haiti likes to measure land in "Centième", how much "quare-foot" is 1 Centième? For the life of me I cannot find it on Google.

I don’t mind older, but for some reason someone younger than me (even by 1 year) bothers me. Thankfully he turned out to be born in 1991 like me😂💛
@@ruttyb great story I'm pretty sure 99.9% of us can relate
