How do you make money in Haiti? What do you do for work? Did you have it set up before you moved? How would you recommend people make their money in a way that doesn't take an opportunity from a Haitian, but rather adds to the development of the community/nation?
Are there certain things to do to ensure your safety with all of the unrest that takes place? What do you do for work in Haiti if you don’t mind sharing? Have you partnered with any U.S. based organizations like USAID or the embassy with your development background? What was your Creole proficiency when you first moved vs now? Thank you cause I know that’s not even half the questions I have 😂
wow that's great... your father did a great job telling you stories about Haiti... many Haitian parents make the mistake of not teaching their children to speak Creole etc... I wish you a lot of success in your work your videos give us strength and remind us that our duty is to save Haiti not to abandon it Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I'm a first generation Haitian American. I'm a first year college student at FSU studying mechanical engineering because I want to work on high speed rail. Real talk, sometimes at night in my bed I think about how Haiti has so much potential. All my friends who were born and raised on the island are the smartest people I know when it comes to mathematics and sciences. Hopefully one day I get to contribute to the country!
Wow!!! You left me speechless. This is what haiti doesn’t have: more people like you who really truly love their country. Many say they do but their actions say something else. You on the other hand sister, you are amazing. The fact that you turned your career around to focus on your country is beyond recognition. You deserve a crown. My body is in the states but my mind and my heart are in Haiti, I need your inspiration. Keep up the great work 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯
Just found that I’m part Haitian Creole… my grand father was from Haiti but unfortunately this information wasn’t given until he’s gone so much of the culture wasn’t passed down and entire family just walking around saying they’re just black… learning this about my bloodline made me find understanding of myself tho all of my interest talents and religious/spiritual views resonates that of the Haitian Culture and made me no longer feel weird or random lol I thank my ancestors for leading me to the truth of who I am… I look forward to learning more and restarting the passing of culture and history to my children to pass to theirs and most of all feeling that “I’m home” feeling you spoke of… I’ve recently moved from Missouri to Florida and I feel like I’m getting closer to that feeling the more I closer to the water… and it all makes sense…. I also have Italian and Irish blood from my moms side still have to learn of her fathers side as she wasn’t raised with him but as I said before I resonate more so with my Haitian roots… I’m just proud of all of who I am and thanks again for sharing 💙🌴🇭🇹
🇭🇹So happy that you found out about your Haitian roots!! Thanks for sharing your story! There’s so much to explore when it comes to Haitian culture. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey❤️
@NonikkaWalker You may need to watch some videos of the youtuber named " chronicles of a Zoe". She speaks a lot about our cultures in her vids. I was born there and left Haiti after I turned 18, so I have quite a lot of childhood/teenager memories. I wish I could help some day...
You already have just by sharing love and I’ll check them out too thank you and many blessings to you on your journey look forward to watching you future posts 💙🫶🏽🇭🇹
They are just black 😂 “Haitian” isn’t a race just like American isn’t. It’s like saying I’m part English or British every black man and woman is Black regardless of what culture they have, language they speak or land they grew up. If you go to Ireland or Italy they won’t respect you as their white kind or give you free citizenship.
born & raised in new york. i’ve been wanting to go to Haiti but my mom is too scared 😅 thank you so much for sharing your experience. i can’t wait to live out there, my mind & soul isn’t happy in america
I love this! I always had a soft spot for Haiti. When I first moved to the US from neighboring Jamaica I realized that many people here had a negative connotation attached to Haitians. I knew many had negative thoughts against Jamaicans too, so that peaked my interest. I really appreciate you for sharing this, using this platform. People need to be educated and develop an unbiased connection with others. Happy Haitian Heritage Month y’all.
Way to go girl. I have been to Haiti 5 times as a pastor on mission trips. I have not been there since covid but I still have a very deep passion for Haiti. Your words are so true. Pastor Chad Starfeldt
I live in Haiti. I was shock to hear a young person decided to come to Haiti. I am so proud of you and so happy listening to a young woman talking nicely about the country I love so much. Thank you very much for making believe that there are Haitian still care for the country. May God bless and protect you. 🙏😘🌺🌸🌹💐♥️
Beside the ones that are stealing or serving other countries ; every single Haitian love their beautiful country . They flew because of the insecurity and there would be no such thing if they didn't put drugs and weapons to messed up that country .
Hi,Iam a flight attendant, and I've been in so many countries in the world, recently I was assigned to go fly for some weeks an airline in Haiti. but with a last minute change from company was send somewhere, I still can't wait to visit Haiti, I've alot négatif comment but from my experience everywhere is dodgy just be caution, I've started my you tube channel, and Iam so excited to visit Haiti and take alot videos and share my experience to my viewers. Iam glad to land on your channel, its gives me more confidence to visit. Your smile really show how you love your home. I'm subscribing to your channel, please tell us more about 🇭🇹. Greetings from Africa ♥
Thankyou !!!! Please don’t belive everything u hear . It’s an amazing country . Fun fact Haiti used to be #in tourism during the 50s-60s/70s then it decline . The potential is they’re !!!
I understand exactly how you felt. I was born 56 years ago and my father was Guyanese at 6 yes old my dad took me to his homeland, and it became my home, not the UK where I was born.. It set the foundation of my spirit to embrace my dads dream of going to retire and die in his home of his birth. My mother was a Jamaican (love Jamaica and it is also my home). My father instilled in me, that I was multi cultured and the UK is where I was born, my homeland is diverse. It lovely to see so many of your era embracing and moving to their parents homeland. Blessings to you. I looked at your channel via Miss Jemmia.
You see this is exactly why I want to go! I am older now and soo upset that I dont have a sense of tradition or understanding of my roots. From a young age I was told if I dont behave they'll send me to Haiti and so I associated it with punishment. I have been solo traveling and realize how much I have lost not being connected after seeing other cultures so proud and having all these traditions. I have fallen in love with just researching the history and watching videos on youtube of Haiti in the 40s, 60s etc. I can't wait to go I dont know how or when but Im going and going to educate my future children of my country.
So sad that parents use Haiti as a form of punishment. I've heard that a lot! Hopefully you can make it back one day. I would definitely recommend going on a group trip to Cap-Haïtien. Haitian Nomad host some great trips!
@Tai J... The message is "Always take your children with you" as Ruth's parents did. The best gift you could give them is "Summer Vacation" not in Port-au-Prince. Port-au-Prince is not Haiti as some pretend. It's only 20% of the territory. Cap-Haitien (the old capital) and its surrounding provinces have the safest environment right now. I left 40 yrs ago & I think now is the time to go back and reconnect with the land. I hope the professionals could go en masse to rebuild this heroic nation.
9:16 THAT RIGHT THERE!!!!! Don't tell them show them with this beautiful VLOG, I am 1st generation Haitian- American born in Harlem NY and ever since I was young age 3 I've visited and have always loved Haiti. My parents have always shown me the beauty of Haiti many people (HAITIANS) are always amazed and can't belive why I love 🇭🇹 so much. I'm super happy for you and this channel and I wish you much success. If we can live in "Khiladelphia", New York and other great American cities (No shade but we just need to do better as human beings with loving one another) it's not because of Haiti that danger will find you, danger is everywhere. You go girl, and be great God bless.
I'm a simple person : I saw the title , I clicked . It's very rare to see or hear this exact sentence . Gnlly , it's the opposite ( and we understand why ) . Thanks for portraying our motherland positively !❤🇭🇹
This is dope, you're stunning! So glad I found your page today. I haven't been back to Haiti in 6 years and it pains me! Your content is very much needed. I'd like to see a video detailing an itinerary for someone visiting Haiti in its current climate.
I'm so happy I stumbled across your channel, that was exactly what I was looking for. I'm 22 y/o and I grew up in Canada. My dream is to move back to haïti and work my grandparents land. I know it's not going to be easy but I want to make a change in my country.
You did the right thing. You studied internatinal development and decided to apply your knowledge at your homeland. God job ! Haiti needs that and need more people like you
I subscribed with no hesitation once i heard you came back from the us to be in Haiti. Secondly you just moved to Cap haïtien, thats my favorite place to be, im from port au Prince but limonade its my mom hometown or county i can say. And now i studying project management i hope we can work together on some projects in the North. I wish you the best. Respect
This is so encouraging. My dad is Haitian and I lived in Haiti for 3 years when I was younger. I have not been back to Haiti since 2002 but there is something I want to do in Haiti that may require me to live there but I am fearful. Your story is so courageous and beautiful. I can’t wait to see your story😍💙
When I'm hearing your story, it resonates so much with me as I feel the same about my country (Congo-Brazzaville), i've studied Urban Planning and international development, and I've just moved back home!! I love your content !!!
I loooooove this. You have the right mindset. This is how the country will grow. I'm not from Haiti but I understand your thinking. Everybody wants to run straight to the slavemaster's country and continue to help build their country. So what was the point of abolishing slavery if you are still gonna go work for the man? Proud of you!
That was absolutely amazing. I’m Haitian myself , and love my country profoundly. I’m aggravated with all these negative rumors speculating and ultimately brought fear to my children heart refraining them from visiting my homeland.
Wow, you were in Maryland this whole time? I wished I had gotten a chance to meet you. I really am inspired by your journey and transition back to Haiti. I really am thinking about going back home or split my time between home and the states.
What a blessing to have finally found such an inspiring channel ! This is exactly what I needed 🙏 I'm a 17 y/o Haitian girl and my entire life, I've never witnessed such an authentic devotion to my home country! Your talk has truly inspired me. May God bless your work and give you the strength to keep pursuing your mission! We love you sister ❤
Was born in Haiti, but never visited because of scary stories. My parents are dying off, I need to reconnect with my ancestors. I love that you are embracing our country. Please keep sharing, maybe I can visit and work on a project with you.
Hey thank you for this video . I was in Haiti last June right before the assassination of the Haitian president to visit my sister's. Like you I came to the US when I was young. I too have a desire to help Haiti but my family is afraid I'm going to get killed if I go. I've been looking for people who like you to partner with so when we can bring change to the country.
13:50 that sentence alone holds weight seriously!! 🤯 Such a good video, well said! That’s good your living well there it’s just sad that not everyone especially the people who’ve lived/been for years can’t say the same unfortunately 😔. Violence/political issues happen not only in Haiti but everywhere everyday but however the difference for ex: the US have many resources/structure that help individuals with crime that take action etc (not saying it 100% the best) but Haiti does have it but not to that degree which makes it a bit hard to come back and stay...
Thank you for sharing. Your story is an example of why we need to follow our instincts and listen to our intuition. So many will try to detract you from your purpose and speak fear into your journey abroad, but it's important to stay focused. I love to hear your passion for Haiti, and watching your videos I see so much potential in that beautiful country. 😊
Thank you for sharing. I just resently visited Haiti for the first time 2 weeks ago. I love the people and the culture. It’s nothing like the negative narrative that the media tries to spin. Haiti has so much beauty and potential and it is refreshing to see young people like yourself returning to Haiti to help build it up and shed light on all of Haiti’s greatness. God Bless You.
Thank you for sharing I think it’s so important that as a race or a group of people we understand each other‘s cultures and how they are connected so again thank you so much for sharing your journey
Wawww You are very special, It makes me feel like there are people who love the country. Where there is love, fear will not stay. May love always accompany you to fulfill your mission. Haiti needs you. There is hope for Haiti !! 🧡🧡🧡
Oh my goodness! I thought I was the only one who loved getting off the plane in Haiti. That heat and wind hits and and that distinct smell does it for me. I wish we still had the stairs pulled up to the plane door. I miss my beloved Haiti... I too went diligently every summer from the time I was 2 years until now at 32. It's been almost 3 years since I last traveled there and Lord how heart wrenching summers are without it. Kudos to you for moving down there! Haiti is my heart even though I wasn't born there. People til this day still think I was born there. VIV AYITI!!!🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
❤🙏🏽🇭🇹 You go!🎉Haiti has been in my prayers since I was a little girl 😔 I'm 49 now.💔 My Parents taught me Haitian pride 2!!😊!💪🏽🇭🇹❤🙏🏽 🎵Ayiti cherie🎼 Love the point of the Focus groups. " program management in Haiti "😍🤔💡
This is so awesome my sister, this sounds like me. I thought there wasn't many of us but there are thousands that can make a difference like you. Thank you so much may The Most High bless you!
Hi Rutty! I really enjoyed your video! Below are my questions: 1. What was your move to Haiti like? What did it entail? (i.e., apartment hunting, job hunting, etc.) 2. What were some challenges/difficulties? 3. What are the pros regarding the move? 4. What would your advice be to someone who’s interested in moving back to Haiti but doesn’t know where to start? 5. How did you meet your husband? (any cute couples video would be 👌🏾but if you want to keep your relationship separate from your RUclips channel, I completely understand. I’m finishing my last year of law school and I’m just trying to figure out how I can give back to Haiti…not just financially but substantially. I want to move to Haiti and actually do the work necessary to advance the nation as a whole. Sorry for the lengthy post 🤔
Happy to hear that you want to give back to Haiti❤️. I will answer these questions in the Q&A, but will go into detail about my move in a separate video.
I haven’t been to Haiti for 12 years almost 13 years 🫢, every time I want to come to Haiti I heard some stuff that’s going on there I be like I’m good .but I hope one day I can go and bring my family with me. I just came across your page today it brought back so many memories.
Often times it's just certain areas having problems. You can visit Cap-Haïtien without any issue. You can even fly directly there from Florida. Please check out my Okap vlog💛
Awesome find! I am elated to discover your channel based on the title alone. We basically have similar vocation. I personally have been back and forth downthere recently. That land and the people are amazing. Ayiti is such a magnet. The reason we hear so much about crime in Ayiti nowadsys is due to the fact that once upon a time it was like a paradise and crime was nonexistent. I always tell people to not believe the hype! Growing up before moving to Jersey as a teenager, no one used to close their doors and gates when leaving for school and the local market. So go figure.... Thank you, thank you, thank you for your reinforcements!
Thanks for sharing this with us Rutchilia! You're such an inspiration!! I was always curious to know what motivated you to move to Haiti and how you feel about that decision now that things are being worst and worst. As long as young people like you will exist, I'll keep believing in a new Haiti. Thanks for being an inspiration!
Bjr, Jenn! I am so happy to find your channel. My daughters were born in America. I am planning to bring them home to Haiti as they get older so they experience the culture. You are an inspirational source for so many of us who left the country. Keep up the good work! Lakay se lakay!
Hello Rutty, I’m so happy I found your channel. I’m from Trinidad & Tobago, living in NYC. I adore Haiti & the amazing people, I’ve been there twice so far.
I praise you for your love, determination and your desire to bring your contribution and expertise to Haiti, a country that we love in spite of all the negative things and stereotypes associated with our country. Just like some African countries such as Ouwanda, Ghana, Kenya and others are becoming a role model for underdeveloped countries such as Haiti. I believe we can make a difference by following their steps. It's time to count on ourselves not to others to help us getting out of the under developed country or the poorest country in the hemisphere. All we need is the determination, will and a vision. One of my teachers asked me why don't you haitian students as smart as you are go back to change Haiti. My answer was they will not give us a chance to do so, they even call us diaspo as if we are no longer haitians. Good luck my dear and be blessed❤️💙💛🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
I love your purpose and reason for moving to Haiti. For the past year I’ve been working closely with Haitian families coming to the US and I am fascinated by your country and its people 🙏. I’m even trying to learn creole to better communicate with those who don’t speak English or Spanish. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos 💓
I just think We can change Haiti by contributing and putting our vision, our experience, Knowledge and resources in our beautiful 😍 ♥ ❤ ✨ Island 🏝 Haiti 🇭🇹
Love this!!!!! You are the first person that truly sounds genuine and really want to help the people! The rest go there to enrich themselves.... May Yeshua cover you through your path for his work!!! Stay blessed, sis!!!
I found out a few years ago my great grandfather came from Ayiti. He was one of the richest men in town. He drove a model T when a lot of other people walked. He also wore the finest clothes. Once I started diving into the history, just like you, I was empowered. Lord’s will I visit Ayiti one day
You know what touch me the most in this video, when i heard that word should we let Haiti go to waste i couldn t stop crying.... it s just somthing that just connect me to your project. Haiti always in my ❤
Girl I think God sent me this video this is exactly what I feel. I plan on moving to Haiti as well. Thank you for this, I always say this thanks for your love for Haiti and encouragement.
it's still not easy to make these decisions especially when you decide to return to your country. You made a good decision and the country should be proud of you.
I 'm so proud of You yong girl, may our God bless You honey. put God first in tour project and he Will protect You and give You succes. You inspired me a lot and I thank for that.
WOW your dad was so on point, I appreciate your story. If you can recommend me books to read so I can learn about Haiti that would be great. I was not privileged enough to have your experience. It is fine as I can always learn and give my children a chance! Thanks for sharing!
Hi i just find your channel and love it. I'm Jamaican and I know that kind of love for Country that you feel. And I have never seen a vlog in the life of a Haitian it opened my eyes its not what the news makes it out to be love your vlogs .keep up the great work
last time i went to Haiti was at the end of 2019, I rented a house in Montagne noir with amazing view. I stayed a week at royal decameron , did all the excursions . I visited Jacmel, sceau d eau . I spent sometime at the kaliko beach. Tried a few restaurants there near place boyer. We had an amazing time. If i find the right people and the right project, i would definently invest. One thing i learned is that if you are not on the ground there to manage your business...it is trouble.
I just got back after spending the whole of July… I honestly can say the issues is in the heart of the capital . They need to create more Street markets like marche Solomon for the merchants/street vendors. It would reduce traffic and lessen the trash on the streets. Furthermore, the bridge President Martelly built very good idea! The roads need to be constructed ( paved - cemented). I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY but Haitian blood runs through my veins… My children enjoyed they visit as well! Thank you for giving it a positive light… Haiti so terrible yet the planes are booked everyday… it’s a mystical place with lots of culture , love….
Stumbled across your page … I’m day 2 into studying Haitian Creole & it was literally at random this happened . Woke up yesterday morning & said “ I want to study a new language & picked both Haitian Creole & French “ … Haitian Creole being first of course & while watching all the videos I can about Haiti , BOOM 💥 … you pop up & ive literally watched about 8 of your videos & im like she has to have a video detailing why she moved to Haiti once I saw you met your husband there ! Now ? I have a new found love for Haiti , it’s people & all it has to offer . Mèsi 🫶🏽 .
Hi Mss Rutty My brother earned a Ph.D in Business Administration and is preparing young haitian minds in Haïti for a prosperous and better future. I praise the courage and the risk you have been taken, leaving behind the *country of milk and honey, to go back to Haïti with the sole intent to contribute, through conjugating efforts, in the struggle of making Haïti a better place for us and for the new generation. I know to reach this noble cause is far from easy, because of those corrupt self-centered politicians in common accord with the cupid olligachts, motivated by sordid gains, who are taking the country to the wrong direction, but as for you, a true daughter of our ancestors, whom vision for all of us is to carry on higher the torch of liberty and freedom before all nations, specially those oppressors who still now barricade our roads leading to success. I am proud of your great haitian spirit. I wish more Haitians, like yourself, who love Haïti, the land of true democracy and freedom, don't allow this moment of tribulations take away the great dream de FAIRE D' HAITI ENCORE LA PERLE DES ANTILLES, PREMIERE REPUBLIQUE NOIRE LIBRE.
Do you have any tips on how to speak Creole? My father is from Haiti I was born in Florida. I didn't learn, wasn't taught. And I never visited home. This is such a wonderful video, our people did MUCH!!
Good day, I am very proud of you for sharing the love and passion you have for Haiti. I second every aspect of your expo because I too can relay to your story. I left the country at about 7 and never felt I belong anywhere else but Haiti. I understand the concern that family and friends has but my heart is crying for a permanent return. There is a belonging, heart warming that I cannot describe when I am in Haiti. My daughter who is not 22 born in the US also has a passion for Haiti as my husband and I always took her back home. I am hoping and praying to have a privilege to make this dream come true as I am freeing from certain family responsibilities. Well done sweetheart and very proud of you. Thanks for sharing. God bless you “Marchons Unis”
Right! 💯💯💯 no country welcomes you like your home country. I thought that because the US is a first world country it would feel so welcoming, boy was I wrong!!! I feel welcome seulment lè mwen an ayiti!!!
Do a video of what progress you have been able to make thus far. Or things you are currently working on to help. Very inspiring. You’re right about the older Haitians discouraging you from going. Both my parents are from Haiti and I’ve only been there once when I was 12 I’m 33 now. Absolutely loved it. Every time I try to go back my mom screams NO! She said the only reason she still goes is because of her mom. Got a follow from me.
I was taken out of Haiti as a child and I still go back. I don’t give a hoot. We have similar thoughts and experience. I still stay close to most and all family. I love the mountains and hiking to see family. I’ve been to a few countries and Haiti is my favorite for environment and culture. Ayibobo!
finally I found someone that did what I've been thinking on doing! honey this is my dream, you got a new follower. I'm here for it all 😍 I love haiti 🇭🇹 😍
I was also partially raised in the US. I now have a group that works with teenagers to instill in them the love of their country that you are talking about. You are an inspiration! In my group we also help them promote entrepreneurship. It would be great if you could talkt to them some time.
New subscriber here! I wholeheartedly agree with you that the people we want to help need to be regarded as the experts. I am so happy to have found your channel. Watching this video had me feeling an overwhelming amount of pride and love for our country and culture. I wish you all the best and I am excited to follow your journey
Hello, so refreshing to see a different narrative. Kudos to your dad :) my mom always taught us that people who had misconceptions about haiti were blinded by the media & chances are never been there. I could sense that in your video :)
This, I love this video! Thank you for sharing. Both of my parents are from Haiti (I’m from The Bahamas) but besides my close family and friends my experiences as a Haitian has always been limited. The only time I went there was as a baby. For different reasons, including the conditions of the economic and political state of Haiti, I’ve been discouraged to go when I became old enough to do so (currently 22). through the stories my family told, I fell is love. While everyone obsessed over traveling to the US, Dubai or the Maldives, it was Haiti for me. Gratefully I can speak (not 100% fluent), read and understand Haitian Creole but I want more you know. I have dreams of temporarily living in Haiti and when I do I want to offer help as well. Haiti won’t get better if everyone’s leaving and not banding together to build up the country. It’s such a beautiful country with so much potential. I want my children to be able to experience and enjoy it as well. I can’t wait to go 🤍, if I wasn’t currently pregnant I would’ve been there enjoying my summer!
Nowadays, it's rare to find these positive messages about Hayti. Most people are doing the opposite. Keep it up. You are not loosing. That's your motherland.
i understand their reaction because me without personally knowing you when i see the title i was like WHAT!!!!! SHE'S doing what!!! WHYYYYY!!!! still Wish you the best!! trynna stay positive but gurl!!!
I am so glad I stumbled upon your channel, it is God sent truly. Thank you so much for being so transparent and so eloquent about your love for Haiti. I feel the same as you but I am still living in the US working hard to finish paying off most of my student loans debt and eventually GET OUT forever!!!!! (HAHA) thank you for showing others in the Diaspora that going back home can be possible. Our paths may crossed in the future. All the best to you and keep those videos coming!:)
I salute your courage! That’s inspiring me. If you could do that, many of us can do it as well. I am fed up with the prevention that we are all living lavishly which is contrary to the US reality. I want to simplify my lifestyle and live modestly. Some places in Haiti can be suitable for that peaceful modest lifestyle which can lead to a longevity. Housing in the big cities is not affordable and the gas price is escalated. In fact, there is insufficient energy left to work two jobs to pay bills. I guess it’s time to go back to the island and contribute to the development of human capital.
Im so glad I've found your channel. Im from Ivory Coast (west Africa) but I love Haiti so much!!!! Always wanted to visit this country. New subscriber 🥰🥰
It's breath of fresh air to listen to your story about Haiti. Just like I grew up in America but now I leave in Haiti. Sometime it's hard when Im trying to explain to them on their ways of thinking about changes they have to start with the self discipline. For this country to change it has to start with the people not the government. They have to understand that have the power to initiate those changes. I love and appreciate you for your passion. More blessings to you. Bless
Hi Rutty B., I am so proud of you for loving Haiti-Hayti deeply. I also complimented your Dad for teaching you about the history and culture of Hayti.I am also a lover of my country, all my desire is to go back to my hometown Les Cayes that I left at the age of sixteen to pursue my studies in Port-au-Prince. As you said, no one can’t stopped me from going back to my homeland soon. Thank you for sharing your insights with us. Your determination, your love and your vision will make a great impact on Hayti. I would like to meet you when I arrive, so we can talk about our expertise and how we can work together for the well-being of our beautiful country. May God bless you and yours abundantly!
I applaud you for the work you are doing in Haiti, being goal oriented and persistent. We need more people of Haitian heritage with your mindset. All of us should be asking ourselves, if it’s not us, who will make Haiti all it ca be.
I’m filming a Q&A! Please leave your questions below 👇🏾
If your peers wanted to move to another county, what 2 experiences would you give as positive advice?
Do you work from home ? How do you handle all the insecurities in Haiti ?
How do you make money in Haiti? What do you do for work? Did you have it set up before you moved? How would you recommend people make their money in a way that doesn't take an opportunity from a Haitian, but rather adds to the development of the community/nation?
Also, did you buy a house? Rent? Build? Or move in with others?
Are there certain things to do to ensure your safety with all of the unrest that takes place? What do you do for work in Haiti if you don’t mind sharing? Have you partnered with any U.S. based organizations like USAID or the embassy with your development background? What was your Creole proficiency when you first moved vs now?

Girl, you practically live in Haiti now that you're in Florida! lmao. I hope you enjoy getting to know our culture ☺
Repeat thoughts for 5 hours every day
I have won the Powerball jackpot
Wait till you have money then you can help the people
I love this!
Thanks for sharing!!❤️❤️❤️

The potential is they’re !!!
we need more people like you.
💛💛💛
Thanks for sharing your story❤️❤️❤️
U r a guyjam lol
Let’s do it!

This doesn’t make logical sense.
I'm a simple person : I saw the title , I clicked . It's very rare to see or hear this exact sentence . Gnlly , it's the opposite ( and we understand why ) .
Thanks for portraying our motherland positively !❤🇭🇹
Our infinite Love for Haiti 🇭🇹 (Ayiti)
This is dope, you're stunning! So glad I found your page today. I haven't been back to Haiti in 6 years and it pains me! Your content is very much needed. I'd like to see a video detailing an itinerary for someone visiting Haiti in its current climate.
Thank you!!❤️ & that’s a great idea! Noted!
When you back share it with us please
I'm so happy I stumbled across your channel, that was exactly what I was looking for. I'm 22 y/o and I grew up in Canada. My dream is to move back to haïti and work my grandparents land. I know it's not going to be easy but I want to make a change in my country.
You did the right thing. You studied internatinal development and decided to apply your knowledge at your homeland. God job ! Haiti needs that and need more people like you
💛💛💛
Rutty if every Haitian in the diaspora thought the way you did Haïti would be perfect! Keep up the great work and stay safe and happy 😊

That’s awesome!!!🙌🏾💛
Our church is praying for you. May the Lord use you in Haiti for his glory to shine upon you. Our church loves you!
Thank you!🙏🏾💛
I loooooove this. You have the right mindset. This is how the country will grow. I'm not from Haiti but I understand your thinking. Everybody wants to run straight to the slavemaster's country and continue to help build their country. So what was the point of abolishing slavery if you are still gonna go work for the man? Proud of you!
‼️❗️‼️🎯
Amen 🙏
HAITI TO THE WORLD
That was absolutely amazing. I’m Haitian myself , and love my country profoundly. I’m aggravated with all these negative rumors speculating and ultimately brought fear to my children heart refraining them from visiting my homeland.
It’s not rumors it’s facts.
Wow, you were in Maryland this whole time? I wished I had gotten a chance to meet you. I really am inspired by your journey and transition back to Haiti. I really am thinking about going back home or split my time between home and the states.
Wow! I am so proud of you. Haiti will always be home, and I’ll be back as well.
What a blessing to have finally found such an inspiring channel ! This is exactly what I needed 🙏
I'm a 17 y/o Haitian girl and my entire life, I've never witnessed such an authentic devotion to my home country!
Your talk has truly inspired me.
May God bless your work and give you the strength to keep pursuing your mission!
We love you sister ❤
Thank you so much hun! I appreciate it💛💛💛
Was born in Haiti, but never visited because of scary stories.
Thanks for watching❤️
Wawww You are very special, It makes me feel like there are people who love the country. Where there is love, fear will not stay. May love always accompany you to fulfill your mission. Haiti needs you. There is hope for Haiti !! 🧡🧡🧡
Thanks so much🙏🏾❤️
Oh my goodness!
Im thinking the same thing im Haitian American. I want to go my motherland 🇭🇹
Me too, I wanna wake up and see the sun every morning. I miss our country Ayiti Cheri!

I'm 49 now.💔

Love the point of the Focus groups.
" program management in Haiti "😍🤔💡
In the process of looking at homes, among other things.
Proud of you. God bless you.
Thank you!🙏🏾
This is so awesome my sister, this sounds like me. I thought there wasn't many of us but there are thousands that can make a difference like you. Thank you so much may The Most High bless you!
Thank you💛💛💛
Hi Rutty! I really enjoyed your video! Below are my questions:
1. What was your move to Haiti like? What did it entail? (i.e., apartment hunting, job hunting, etc.)
Be brave, Familiarize yourself with the different news Chanels to get a feel of the mood there.
Thank you so much for sharing! So glad your family supports you and believes in a better Haiti!
@@ruttyb I saw it I loved it,it’s so nice 😊 that’s what I heard.
I'm not from Haiti but I have friends from Haiti. This is very inspiring to me. I'm from Jamaica . But thank you for sharing this.
Thanks for watching!❤️
Moving back soon!!!! 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹❤❤❤❤
What an intelligent sister. Love this and inspired❤️
aww thank you❤️
Thanks for sharing this with us Rutchilia! You're such an inspiration!! I was always curious to know what motivated you to move to Haiti and how you feel about that decision now that things are being worst and worst. As long as young people like you will exist, I'll keep believing in a new Haiti. Thanks for being an inspiration!
Aww thanks Kendy❤️❤️❤️

Shout out to T&T 🇹🇹
We have Plaisance here in Seychelles too.
Praying greater will come for the people of Haiti
I love your purpose and reason for moving to Haiti. For the past year I’ve been working closely with Haitian families coming to the US and I am fascinated by your country and its people 🙏. I’m even trying to learn creole to better communicate with those who don’t speak English or Spanish. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos 💓
That is so awesome, thanks for sharing!

There are few like you, but these videos will spark interest and few will eventually grow into many, stay bless and be well! ✌️❤️ always!
Re-watching this. So inspiring ❤
This is awesome!!!!!
I’m about to move back home soon as well!
I love my Haiti 🇭🇹
Finally a Haitian RUclipsr living in Haiti. I 've been waiting for this for so long. Love your channel. Subscribed! Love from Maryland 😍
Thanks Nesny😊
I 'm so proud of You yong girl, may our God bless You honey. put God first in tour project and he Will protect You and give You succes. You inspired me a lot and I thank for that.
WOW your dad was so on point, I appreciate your story. If you can recommend me books to read so I can learn about Haiti that would be great. I was not privileged enough to have your experience. It is fine as I can always learn and give my children a chance! Thanks for sharing!
Wow...the first Video I watched! I love the background story 😊
I absolutely agree! You truly have to be here when it comes to investing.
Mèsi 🫶🏽 .
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love it. I haven't been to Haiti since 96' watching your videos are inspiring me to make a come back
Thanks for watching❤️
Hi Mss Rutty
My brother earned a Ph.D in Business Administration and is preparing young haitian minds in Haïti for a prosperous and better future.
Beautiful words! Thank you!!!💛
Do you have any tips on how to speak Creole?
La Kay se lakay 👍
Do a video of what progress you have been able to make thus far. Or things you are currently working on to help. Very inspiring. You’re right about the older Haitians discouraging you from going. Both my parents are from Haiti and I’ve only been there once when I was 12 I’m 33 now. Absolutely loved it. Every time I try to go back my mom screams NO! She said the only reason she still goes is because of her mom. Got a follow from me.
Great idea! Thanks!

Your dad did a great job, you go girl!
Thanks for sharing your story hun! I hope you get to spend some time here one day💛
Nowadays, it's rare to find these positive messages about Hayti.
Thank you so much! I hope you move back one day❤️
@@ruttyb I sure will!!! and let's keep our prayers and positive thoughts stronger so that Haiti can blossom fully again.
That's also my dreams to go back to Haiti specially Cap-Haitien where are come from.
Bless
Hi Rutty B.,
I am so proud of you for loving Haiti-Hayti deeply.
Thank you!! I truly hope you make it back here one day🇭🇹❤️

As a fellow Haitian, I love what you’re doing. Definitely subscribed. Full support
Right!! I’m here for it!
I applaud you for the work you are doing in Haiti, being goal oriented and persistent. We need more people of Haitian heritage with your mindset. All of us should be asking ourselves, if it’s not us, who will make Haiti all it ca be.
Nothing can explain that deep love and connection to the island. i don’t even understand how some Haitians don’t have it.
