  • I'm prepared for the hate to roll in on this one. Do you want the best linkage available on the market to date? Then you want a Gene Berg shroud mount linkage. Designed after an original Porsche dual carb linkage, Gene Berg Linkage can keep those carbs synced for many miles of fun. Not everyone is a fan of the aesthetics of a Berg linkage, but I think they look great. As far as functionality , there is none better. So sit back and enjoy watching someone else do all the work.

Another great video! I replaced the original CB hex bar linkage that came with my dual Dellorto 40 assembly after a few years - with a Berg linkage. Had to order (2) longer arms from Berg to reach the throttle shafts. Huge difference in throttle response and lighter pressure on the pedal.

Agreed. My pedal feels stock. You’d never know I have dual carbs. 👍🏽

    G'day man,
    An awesome video.
On my 63 bug I went through the Chinese crap and finally ended up at Gene Bergs setup. No more problems my car now pulls so much harder. One thing I did install was the small roller wheel setup that you can screw onto your shroud. Anyway thanks for sharing ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.

Fantastic. I’ve got the berg linkage on my Baja came with the car when I bought it. I’ve always been a little confused about the adjustment on the linkage so the video really helped. I’m running dual Zenith NDIX 32 carbs on my 2010cc motor. Berg crank and berg rockers. Other than that it’s all stock.

Push Pull is the best option on a built type 3 unfortunately. I’ve learned to love idling at 1100-1200 after getting off the freeway. 😂

Get the Vintage Speed one. Arms won’t pull in since they are separated at the carb by a slip joint. 🫡

Have you seen the Sync-Link throttle Linkage Kit? What are your thoughts with it?

I’ve seen it but never used it. I like the idea of it but have not seen it in action to determine if it will works well or not.

Just a quick question can I use this linkage with Weber carburetors?

Yes you can. You have to call into Gene Berg to order it. Have the measurements of between your carbs when ordering.
