Probably it needs software updates. It's just very different, the 1080p vs 4k.
The photo also doesn't over saturated, unlike the 4k footage.
To be honest. When I was recording with my p30 pro. I always had to increase saturation by 5 percent in post. Guess it's the same here. I rather it be colourful than dull

Hey, I was thinking if you could review this cameras in some ways that are more likely intended, I know a 'point 'n' shoot' situation is the most common, but would be awesome to see what the device is meant for. Test the 8k on a gimbal (the way probably everyone will use it), test the 4k in all scenarios, night and day, sees when it's better to use 108mp against the zoom options, try the "portrait" lens with people and objects (cause the color science, digital sharpness enhancement and fov are very different from the main), and I saw that now there is an pro video mode, would be awesome a walkthrough :)
Great idea. I would also love to see another camera app such as Gcam to see if this over saturation persists or if it can be toned down depending on the software you use. Great videos though, glad I found this channel.

This is real review of mi 10, on other channels they show up images of cities from the USA and other coutries , and they said to us that is real pictures,but now nobody took this phone from china,and pictures must be from there to proove that is mi 10
You have youtubers doing the unboxing, including in Europe. Some people got them first to review it, Xiaomi didn't even know that the European launch would be postpone, when they sent it.

My realme XT had color saturation problems.They fixed that during the update of relame UI.So it can be solved through OTA update.
Can you comment on the audio from the Xiaomis when video recording? Thats a huge dealbreaker because I have the mi8 and I had no idea the audio quality coming from videos was going to be so horrible, especially in loud conditions.

Do you have P30 Pro or Oppo Reno 10x to compare optical 5x? These 3 are only ones which have true 5x.
Hello sir, I just wanna know if the ultra-wide lens of Mi 10/Pro have Autofocus capability or it just fixed focus? I wonder because in Mi 9 there is a Autofocus on ultra-wide and that is good because some ultra-wide lens on some smartphone are always fixed focus. Mi 9 ultra-wide is really, really good.

Woah! The colours are COMPLETELY different between the two manufacturers! Ande even between 1080p and 4k mode!
Good job ... Congratulations TechZG!!!... Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have the same sensor as Mi Note 10 Pro .... The latter, in the global version, has never taken photos so saturated or oversaturated filming. I suppose this is due to incorrect settings or software used on a particular market. Let us have patience until the first software update, or until the global version for Mi 10 phones appears ...What I find extremely clear, even without 50x zoom, is that these phones are good, even very good .... Absolutely unbeatable at this price ...

For a base price of $715 I'll admit I was expecting better quality and stabilization. The color saturation doesn't bother me as much as it does others. Samsung did that for years. The MI 10 quality looked almost as good and I thought even better than the MI 10 Pro in some spots. Hopefully they'll clean some of this up as more phones get released and through OTA software updates.

How’s the SD 865 compared to SD 730G in terms of image processing? Most of the time the Mi Note 10 Pro I have loves to stroll leisurely after taking the image, especially on Night Mode where it literally decides to take some afternoon tea while processing the shot.
By seeing how the V30 compares, I think we can say the P30 Pro has better night mode, much more natural colors in both photos and videos and lastly better zoom (which can be used while recording). Xiaomi sharpens the images so much that some of the zoomed samples look awful.
I wouldn't call the color vibrant but rather a disaster at 4K. I guess either the editor used to assemble this clip interpreted the footage coming out of the phone as Rec. 2020 or BT. 2100 or there was something missing when the video was uploaded to RUclips. In either case, when the final video is played back on regular SDR displays, the colors are skewed.

Wow I can't believe how good the camera's are, but I do have to say I wish the colours were more natural, but honestly, using gcam and maybe tweaking a few things should make for some almost perfect pictures. Obviously this is personal preference, but the quality of the camera's is no joke.
Gosh, are these red and yellow colors from XiaoMi always saturated like that? or is that due to personal setting ? I use oppo, I prefer natural looking colors

The colors in 4k is really nasty (seems it have some kind of teal and orange preset applied), I really hope that we can change it without need for editing software after every video 🙄

I had seen a video earlier. Mi note 10 does that because of the SD 730 chip but I don't think Mi 10 pro has that problm.

You can click the screen for one second and the exposure and autofocus will keep fix and won't change.

Hi, can you test their cameras at nighttime? Say, you go to Shenzhen Bay park or the top of the Lianhua Mountain. Take a few shots, zoom in, and then see how they perform.

Xiaomi uses BT.601 colour space for video. It is often rendered too saturated if edited in a Rec.709 timeline. That may explain the over-saturated footage shot by Xiaomi. At least that's the case for my Redmi K20 Pro.
Is it possible to change the saturated colors in pro mode video?
The oversaturation seems due to a WCG being used instead of sRGB... not what you want for SDR. But it's fine for HDR10 video.

Front camera stabilization is terrible!😡
It’s not saturation, what you see here is severe red clipping. in 4K mode, the phone shoots in rec. 2020 color gamut which includes way more reds than sRGB, the color space in which this video was rendered. As results, most of the reds are clipped and yellows become weird orange. Since no commercial monitor is able to fully display rec. 2020, you need to first convert the video files into sRGB, and then add them to the timeline.
