Thank you very much for this. I've been attempting to make my own gaskets for an experiment I've been working on. Thanks to you, now I know what to do... I think. :>~
Glue is an emulsion of poly(vinyl acetate) and has add ons such as water, poly(vinyl alcohol) as thickener and an emulsifier. What this experiment does is various levels of demulsification....
+Jean Synodinos, hydrogel polymer is something that is being used for back surgery and is there any input you have or information on the risks of having these in your body? How long they would last? Do they disintegrate inside the body and leak, like silicone implants? Do they become hard and non-flexible?
I was at church and I want to make snow I watched a video on it and you have to use hot water and polymer powder but where would I or find it in my house?
Do any of this hazardous to your helath? I mean like Borax? I've read in the comments here that it can kill cockroaches. So is it okay to get close to it dayly? I mean paint can be toxic if you inhale it. Like that. If somebody can put a light on this...
Thanks, I actually really enjoyed those videos, not just because you're a beautiful woman ;) but because it was just easy to enjoy. I'm gonna try some myself later....once i figure out where the hell to get Borax from lol, I'm in the UK.
Cool, liked it but what's the purpose? You make polymers for what? What are they used for in life? Are there polymers inside polymers? How does the structure of the molecules of the ingredients interfere? Why are polymers formed? How? Some background research needed if you really want others to have interest in this.
The question I have is what they would do if placed in a mold and allowed to dry. I would like to have seen corn starch not corn meal; baking soda not baking powder. If they were not allowed to dry much is unanswered. Nice otherwise as you did demonstrate clear differences.
Hickjose and desmo need to stop that's mean go hate on another video geez oh wait no don't hate at all it's mean and it hurts people just stop ok just stop
Thank you, Jean, for your experiment!! It helped me understand so much more and you're so funny!!

I stumbled upon your videos. I am homeschooling my kids & I think this would really be fun for them to do! Thanks.
that was an awsome video, it also really helped with my chemistry homework ;P i might actually try making some
That was fun to watch, thanks!

I adored this and I learned something too

do any of these harden enough to make a small sculpture (and paint) ?
The plain and cornmeal ones looks like that flarp stuff that make a farting noise when you push it into a plastic container
Hi at the end the plain gets harder? or it stays rubbery? can you make bioplastic or know if i can make it waterproff?
great videos
It's called putty and I love your house!
which one is the best
I wonder which would get hard enough to make charms out of it?

Klawz we get borax in the cleaning section of the grocery store (in Australia ).
Thanks, very informative.

If I got it in a.cut would it be unhealthy? Cause I did. :P
Someone, hire this woman as a scientist!

I'd also like to try wheat flour and talc
So cool
thanks for the video....
hahaha you make clay w/ the salt, you made flubber from the movie w/ sugar!
The sugar version might be useful as slime during Halloween.
The plain version might be useful for a low-pressure gasket material.
@christie blair Laundry detergent boost
gud one
Why do people even watch videos if they are going to be haters?
You are really smart ( not sarcastic )
whats borax pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
@tialuvbunny123 this lady is showing us something if you don't want to learn don't watch then
Ur just like my brother, everything is creepy or awesome
