The beauty of it is that the crowd only follows Gibson. This makes Heritage used H-150 very reasonable. And having owned Gibson Les Paul's and a Heritage, the Heritage is a superior guitar.
I live in the Mitten (Mich) and had the opportunity to tour the Heritage factory 2 years ago. I have to say , it was just amazing to be able to watch the process and see the folks in the shop hand build the instruments! My wife and I were on our way to Chicago to buy an amp, but all we could talk about was our tour of the K Zoo Heritage factory. Hopefully, a custom core 150 gold top in my future.
I have one of these. I also have several Gibsons, old and new. I’ve been a Gibson fan for 40 years and have always loved them. Since getting the Heritage I’ve had to admit that the Heritage is a better guitar than all my Gibsons. That wasn’t an easy thing to do! It plays better, sounds better, feels better and holds tune better. I even have older guys saying things like ‘that’s the sound I remember, where did you get that guitar’! The price was also sensible, not the eye-watering numbers Gibson seem to charge these days. The Heritage seems to be what many people think of when they think Les Paul but never quite get there with a Gibson, especially the newer ones. So, from my experience, if you want a Les Paul that plays, feels and sounds like they used too, is made as well as anything, is actually affordable and has that ‘this is how they were supposed to be’ feel to it, get a Heritage. They really are what you can actually call ‘authentic’……..
@@nedludd3641 from personal experience I can say my Gibson rings out more, my Heritage on the other hand has a smoother tone and feel. Gibson rings like a tin bell, Heritage is smooth as butter. Personally I prefer the Heritage, YMMV.
I just don't know how these guitars aren't prized for what they are. When Gibson moved from Kalamazoo, some of the old Gibson personnel got together and bought the old factory and its equipment and started Heritage Guitars.
I own one and love it. You did a great job of demonstrating the tones it can deliver. I, too, was a single coil player (Fender) for many years, even though I'm a former Gibson state rep from the Norlin years. This guitar is way more expressive than I expected, and really responds to nuances in fingering and attack. As a single coil player, I always liked the clear notes I could get on the lower strings, and was surprised how the low string on my H150 sound great without getting muddy.
Yeah bro you definitely got a superb deal !!! Congratulations on N amazing guitar. I went through my phase of Gibson over heritage. The Gibson is what I wanted my guitar to look like but the heritage played like a dream and stayed in tune straight out the box and inspired me. I had my H535 and 335 for around 6 months and finally let the Gibson go and it was worth the wait both of my heritage’s are Relic like yours and prices have gone up! Heritage definitely deserves more recognition and they are top notch!
There are definitely quite a lot of “bad words” said about Heritage’s latest ownership if you look for them (they just don’t get the publicity anything Gibson related would do) and in particular the way they managed relations with some of their very long standing employees, many of whom were either let go or resigned at that time (this was around 2016).
Each tone sample where phenomenal! I sure would love me one of these for many reasons. These days we discover many other companies excelling! Many of these build better guitars then Gibson & Fender whom have dominating. Yet ( I included), we snubbed these brands simply because of not being a « Gibson or Fender ». When i purchase a guitar, brand names and esthetics are the last thing I care about. i now focus on how it feels for my fingers, ears and my bank account. Playability, feel and tone will get me to make my decision to buy or not.
Heritage is a great story of how a new business can be born out of the wreckage of poor corporate decision making by utilizing exiting infrastructure and highly skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. I am so happy they were able to this - best of luck Heritage!
I just got the same guitar, and I'm not a les payl guy, but the price was right. I love this one. Great vid. I also would say the tone is like a big tele
Lefty Heritage owner here, Cherry Burst 1991 H-150 and 1998 H-157 Black Custom. Changed the Bridge and tail pieces to Tone Pro's and Pickups to High Order Maximums Humbucker's. Jeff winds some beautifully balanced pickups for way less than anyone out there.
This guitar has an absolute premium quality top. I like to see those dark spots or freckles as i call them. For me it is a sign of quality. This guitar looks awesome and it also sounds great.

Lovely guitar and you got a nice deal indeed! Definitely a keeper!
That Fuzz Tone Demo made my hair stand on end. Totally amazing to have such clarity across all strings. My fuzz tones and generally distortions always get so muddy and BLAH sounding. Could be so many things wrong, but well done sir.
Lovely guitar and playing. I happened to try one of these with p90s today. Wow. I always love P90s. I bonded instantly with it. The build looked great.
newer gibsons crush, standards are like custum shop of a few years back. nuts can be a bit high but better than too low lol. but it sounds like u found a great gem!
Would have to disagree with my first hand experience. My new Gibson Standard 50s is very shottily made. Un-even frets, had to flip/reverse the A string saddle to intonate correctly, gaps on the bindings, poorly cut nut. My Heritage on the other hand was set up dead nuts right outta the box.
This came to me feed. Straight away subscribed. Great videos! On Gibson/LP alternative, please try Edwards, its an ESP sub-brand. Its MiJ and mostly affordable.
That's because they are. When Gibson moved from Kalamazoo, old Gibson workers got together and bought the old factory and it equipment to make Heritage Guitars.
I like that they improved the old Gibson headstock design.
The beauty of it is that the crowd only follows Gibson. This makes Heritage used H-150 very reasonable. And having owned Gibson Les Paul's and a Heritage, the Heritage is a superior guitar.
Love how even the dark tones come through clean without getting all muddy
PAFs are so much brighter than people think they were, the Seymour Duncans in the Heritage nail that

That’s pretty damn cool! Very jealous
Your channel needs more views. Lighting and production on point!
I appreciate that!
The Gibson Les Paul's and the Heritage 150s are both excellent. Made in USA for me. BTW Heritage used a few different humbuckers, mine are screamers.
ngl I'd love to get a gibson for the name. But when playing any heritage side by side, it consistently felt and sounded one price range above Gibson.

Andertons has a LP shootout and they seemed to prefer Gibson coz it was brighter with more sustain?

Took the words right outta my mouth my oldest 2000 standard is the only one that gets close to my heritage
@@nedludd3641that was a standard they compared. But if core vs. custom shop, the winner would still be heritage.

Thanks!
Shoulda never left Kalamazoo.
Heritage all the way! They’re awesome
Cheers mate! Hope you're well

They are basically Gibson custom shops

It's 'Aitch' not 'Haitch': there is no 'H" in Aitch...

Link to the Jam track would be good bud.
I want one of these in the fiesta red, looks so clean
Do any of the 150s have a 60s style neck?
Lovely guitar and playing. I happened to try one of these with p90s today. Wow. I always love P90s. I bonded instantly with it. The build looked great.
Thanks man! Very cool
Too much compression
I love Heritage guitars but they are out of my price range right now.
One day!
Have you tried a Tokai? Guitaristas loved his, Cordy seemed somewhat cooler?
They are hard to find - not made in volume
You bought a new old looking guitar?
it's a standard guitar aged by their custom shop - so does that make it a custom model or would that be something else entirely?
European Limited Edition
Would you consider a Gretsch Duojet?
I'd love a Gretsch!
Their finishes always look so beautiful.
Agreed!
Great video! Subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
Are these H150s really heavy??
Not crazy heavy. Mine is pretty good for an LP. I think it’s under 8.5lbs
newer gibsons crush, standards are like custum shop of a few years back. nuts can be a bit high but better than too low lol. but it sounds like u found a great gem!
Thanks for the info! I defo need to try a few modern Gibbos
I second that. Gibson’s QC is much better now. I am not trying to draw any comparisons with Heritage, just stating my recent experience.

Great video, thanks, I love my Heritage Artisan too! But who is the „Swedish guy“ you mentioned? Danish Pete. 😂😂😂
Haha, the person who possibly returned the guitar to Andertons.
I understand that people say a good Les Paul is like a beefed up Tele, your cleaner demos REALLY do not demonstrate that, in the slightest
I’ve got a 1996 H140 love it, they’re how Gibsons should be made
I'd love to try some of the older Heritage guitars. 1996 is my birth year so that'd be pretty cool!
@@JacksonBrooksbythey’re more friendly than the Gibson tech people just get humans who shud be chat bots , the dirty lemon burst aged is v nice

Ughh that headstock is so off putting…
You won’t even notice it after a while
