you sit there telling us that story, yet you own a Stormtrooper vehicle that wasn't in the Star Wars movies. I think you should contact Jimmy and have him come over and break that vehicle as karma.
I had Battle Armor, Thunder Punch, and Flying Fist He-Men as a kid, but no “original” version. I somehow think we wouldn’t have been friends when we were kids. 😉
Battle armor he man was actually the first to he man figure I ever picked out for my birthday when I was a kid. I guess would’ve hated me. 😄 My friend up the street who had the actual heman figure called it, “he man with the dents.” And he always told me how stupid it was because you never saw he man wearing that.
dude i love these story time vids they are so relatable and on point hah. i myself belonged to a even more exclusive club. after begging and pleading for a black members only jacket for what seemed like months my mom surprised me with an early christmas gift. i could tell by the shape and weight of the box it was my members only jacket and she was giving it to me early because the breakdance crew i belonged to “BREAKERS ØNLY” was gonna preform at the schools christmas talent show in a few days. i was the only one that didn’t have a black members only jacket to wear for the show. i ripped into that box with my eyes wide open with excitement that quickly became a confused glare before finally saying thank you to my mom with a forced smile on my face. i didn’t let her see any disappointment on my face as i slid on the navy blue off brand family dollar members only rip-off jacket. it had these really wide straps on the shoulders and collar that looked nothing like the ones on the real jacket and there was several other things that weren’t right abt it. but the one thing that stuck out the most my mom had made a tag that said members only and stitched it onto the jacket. i’m not gonna sugar coat it lol the jacket was hideous even by family dollar standards but once i saw how happy my mom was when i put it on and didn’t complain abt it not being real i wore it to our talent show and almost everyday that winter with pride.
I got into He-Man by watching reruns of the original cartoon as a kid, never had any figures, but when they started releasing the Origins line, I started collecting my favorite characters back in 2020. I have a bunch now including Castle Grayskull that I got for Christmas.
MOTU was my toy line as a kid. Had a little of G.I.JOE, Tranformers, M.A.S.K. and a couple of Star Wars (born in 80). I had most of MOTU toys and after that line died down, my next big one was The Real Ghostbusters.
I was born in 83 so I more remember the 1989 he man more as a kid. I had only 2 figures or so from that line, then I was all about thunder cats, Inhumanoids and TMNT. I had the mosquito guy and orko man at arms, fisto and a few others . But didn't play with them as much. But there was one I LOVED: the slime Pitt. I first saw the original MOTU cartoon one day on USA cartoon express. It was ok but I had other interests. It wouldn't be untill 1999, shortly after I turned 16 when I visited my buddy in high school and he showed me his old he man toys in his collector's room. Then I began to appreciate it more. I found the 1982 DC comic mini series shortly after and that really got me into he man. I managed to pick up a few figures here and there since.
The cool thing about all of us guys that are the same age is that we are all sitting here with goofy gins and nodding because we GET EVERYTHING he is saying. Our thinking and experiences are SO darn similar no matter where we lived!
I always look forward to He-Man after school in 1983 through 1985. I was blessed in the Christmas of 83 when I got He Man Greatest Adventures of All from RCA Columbia VHS.I probably wore out that tape. ❤️ Your video!
Junkman 1985.. he was big older kid. I can remember in mid 80s little kid show up play with his toys while he is at school.. Junkman mom let me play with his toys..
That's a sad, tragic tale, but I appreciate your honesty. I'm pretty much the same way when I get on something, that's it. There is nothing else. That's why I can't see getting any repros, retros or, buying food .. I have NO time for food. I've got some important business to take care of first, THEN I can eat. :) I thought about putting SW & MOTU together. Maybe the HE-MAN figures were gods or something, that's why they're a little bigger. Castle Grayskull stands in for Jabba's Palace, you go all the way up to the throneroom and try to reason with He-Man, or whoever's on the throne at the time. Put some skiff guards up in the tower, one on the turret, have Lando and a pig guard standing next to the weapons rack, have Luke fall through the trapdoor down to the "basement" where he has to confront the rancor. I love your stories, thanks for sharing. Your secret's safe with me.
The thing that always buged me was the how some characters looked much different in the cartoon than how the figure looked. But the cartoon was just a glorified commercial anyway.
I liked MOTU, but never liked it more than SW, GI Joe, or anything else. I never once as a kid passed a chance to get SW, GI Joe, or anything for a He-Man figure.
I brought a Mego bendy Aquaman to kindergarten and a kid asked to see it and threw it down the sewer grate so I punched him in the stomach. I got yelled at and it confused me, he was the bad guy he should be the one getting yelled at. I'd go back and do it again, don't mess with my toys.
When I was a boy, Marvel & DC Comics Super-Heroes were my thing along with Star Trek. I loved the Mego figures. I never liked Star Wars, probably because my parents wouldn't take me to see it, so I didn't know the characters. He-Man was after my time.
Hi Junkman cool video I had all of The Masters Of The Universe action figures I have Star Wars action figures from 1995 and Luke Skywalker and Lando Clarrissian from 1980 Empire strikes Back mint condition in collectors cases I also have He Man and Skeletor action figures from 2020 I just love action figures I'm 44 years old and still collect them
Well, we all did awful things as kids and we don't know why we did them back then, but you've gotten it off your chest! Now let me get this straight: Hitting............and old car..........with a .........SHOE?
You beat a car with a shoe? What the hell kind of school was that?

The battle armor He-man was my favorite of the good guys. Getting my castle was one of my best Christmas memory
My first Star Wars figure in 78 also lol . K Mart in Iron Mountain Michigan. It was Chewbacca.
I like that you can admit these things...👌🏼 That was an incredible story...👍🏼 Respect...🤘🏼💯✔️
I never abandoned Star Wars for He-Man. I knew some boys who had the toys, but I thought they were weird looking.

The inner Rage is real Junk Man! Poor Jimmy! I think my parents stopped at Dragon Blaster Skelly and Thunder Punch He Man.
I never would've envisioned a time there would've been no Saturday morning cartoons.

I had that battle damaged he-man and skeletor, I also had thunder punch heman
You're lucky to have woods forts. Where I grew up in the 90s I had a desert fort.
Lol young you treated HeMan like a turf war
Was it Richard Gere in the gerbil derby show?

Rustler.... somebody went clothes shopping at K-mart!!!!
We're about the same age but I never heard of gerbil races and beating old cars with shoes. Are those southern things?
That's a sad, tragic tale, but I appreciate your honesty.
