Yep, function over form for now. Aesthetics can come later.

Coupling on a curve is difficult. But usage of hands is perfectly okay. It’s all about having fun and enjoying yourself. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Take care . See ya next time.

Great little ops session! The bit of overspray on the hillside gives a hint of what it will look like when landscaped. You might want to install some of them push pin bumper stops on the transfer table sooner than latter -I cringed thinking of your locomotive hitting the floor! Great sound effects!

Its looking nice. Scenes at 3:47 and 8:24 already look good even without scenery. It'll look very nice when finished.

1st visit to your channel. Will be back to see your progress. Love your style and passion for our wonderful hobby.
The transfer table is a very neat and practical design IMO. Please could you show us the slide device under the transfer tracks. Are these a pair of trucks running on each slide track?
Wow! What a great space you have for your railroad! Love the sweeping curves.
    Stay
Happy Modelling. Stay Safe! T🚂🚂 (UK)

Hi Tony! No, there is nothing under that section of old scratch built bridge. It's just sitting on the perpendicular track sections. The rails sit between the ties and it seems to run straight across and end up in the right spot. Once I decide what I am doing in that area (left side of layout), I will build something. I may build a movable extension section to reach an island or something.

Fun stuff Joey! I can see some really nice scenery and video happening with this set up. I need some of what you have as far as motivation.

Every time I work on it I start thinking "hmmm, I can add this, add that", but I want to keep moving forward.

Curious as to why after you run around the train, you didn't go right to the mine and pull the loads first? Then all you had to do was pull high, shove the empties in, pull out line switch for the main, conductor gets on and take off. Your railroad.... looks good so far, definitely like your lift bridge for the transfer track.

Good eye! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. As you point out - those would be the right moves if done in one sequence/take. I just let the camera run while I made moves back and forth while testing the table and car count ran some footage together as is for the edit. Makes me look like a crappy conductor having spent most of my adult life on the real railroad :)

@@tracksidescenery it's all good. I'll take it as "testing" 😆 thanks for the videos and keep up the great work your doing.

You better leave it down, can't have Doreen getting injured. Model Railroading is fun, not painful.
Transfer table is cool. The group formerly known as the O Scale Kings has the module Tony Koester built and they made turntables out of dollar store lazy susans to turn the power...

Looking good ! I agree painted tracks is a big difference. That’s a neat idea. What decoder is in that engine , sounds killer.

Those are 5amp TCS WOW sound decoders in the MTH locos. I do have a couple of Red Caboose GP7/9 units that I may do that to as well.
