Hey everyone, it’s been a while since we made another trackside trip so we headed out to catch some trains along the Metra BNSF Line in Western Springs. To sum it up, the first half of the day was literally dominated with Metra commuter trains and the occasional Amtrak Illinois Zephyr and the Carl Sandburg without a single freight train until lunch hour in gorgeous winter weather with temperatures reaching at least 50 degrees here in the Midwest. We had to hold off on filming trains for a bit due to extensive planning for upcoming trips this year so we got it taken care for the time being and we can go back to our regular filming schedule as planned.
