It used to be in smash 4 but now you got next to no control over it, because the values for control aren't well programmed, in smash 4 bowser and his target lose control the more the %, but in ultimate it nearly doesn't matter for bowser because he loses nearly no control per%, but his target loses a ton by %, which is why we continue to see top players like Leffen, Mkleo and many others being cheesed like that all the time

Facts. It’s good to see. If Leon really worked up a character with less weaknesses he’d slap
Kinda hurts that he said he hates Lucina. I get where he's coming from because I also used to main Marth (in Melee) and then switched to Lucina out of necessity in Ultimate. But I still love her, I love both of them. And I love watching his Lucina so I hope we'll continue to see more of her.

I get what you mean Leo. Playing online is fun but it doesn’t reward skill and precise neutral. It’s more about playing around the lag and that makes skillful playing difficult. Once tournaments start up I’m sure you’ll have no problem dominating again!

but anyways I agree with you, lag makes many characters work so differently. Like for example, Sonic's rushdown gimmick got exploited and used as a camping tool online, which pains me to watch how ppl desperately trying to use every single last method avaliable to win, be it camping or lag. Also, online just isn't the same and removed many skills or elements like the nervousness competing in front of many ppl. I still think Leo is an adaptive player, don't get me wrong. But it's just too hard for a offline competitive player to adapt to a totally different gaming experience. It's just like a totally different smash game.
So I'm not the only one getting 1-2 seconds of delay when i try to play online? I can't do it. I can only play in person with friends because that lag is unplayable for me
@@Fiercewid do a pingtest and check the latency on your internet. There's inevitable input lag for everyone, but 1-2 seconds is waaaay more than normal
LeoN’s bowser always gives me hope for Bowser’s Meta. Maybe not top tier, but definitely high tier.

Bowser is up there for one of the most balanced in the game, which is crazy given how he's the heaviest. He has the perfect balance of speed and hitting hard but still has enough weaknesses to not make him OP.
Bowser is ghe perfect gate keeper. You have to space your attacks perfectly to avoid his OoS, optimize your combos and edge guards because he's so heavy, and not be predictable to avoid dieing at %40

29:20 for those of you that think Bowser tough guy up tilt is dumb.
Let me share some knowledge (and yes I say knowledge instead of tips cuz I'm kinda old school)
Bowser tilts have light base armor of 4.0% and the 0.1%+ does not count.
So moves that have multiple hitboxes like Byleth up smash did 2.9% not enough to brake the armor.
So I'd highly recommend ppl lab vs this character to see what multi-hit moves you have and how much damage does it do so you don't lose to it. ✌️

Ima be completely honest as a lucina player who watches mr e protobanham (he has a RUclips so im not just basing this off few American tournaments) and mkleo. I got to go protobanham 1 mkleo 2 mr e 3. No disrespect to anyone but proto was 19 pgr and mr e didn’t make second pgr. And to leo’s comment about beeting proto in a ditto...i dont know it would definitely be close but the way proto plays is simply on another level specifically talking ultimate

Leon did get better at the matchup since last time but the two early wins Leon had were because Leo was doing the Online Byleth thing spamming moves like crazy.

I'm hearing a lot of excuses from Leo about it being online, and how león has adjusted to online, and that's why he's beating him. Gee I wonder why and how Leon has adjusted his game play to online, like there isn't a pandemic going on lol. Leo said that people take advantage that it's online and that's why some things will work as a opposed to offline. I don't get the reasoning there. People have been training their online skills for the high amounts of money that online tournaments give. I think leo is just bitter that he was getting bodied and threatened by a character that shouldn't have threatened him, even though Leon is the BEST Bowser player in the world, and I don't see Leo give enough credit to his effort. Smh
Have you ever tried playing online? You can't react. You have to guess what your opponent is going to do from the lag. There's a huge difference.

Joker is his offline character and Byleth is his online character

He doesn't like that she's better then marth. Marth is the one he loves as a character but objectively, there's no reason to use him over lucina in a tournament if he's really trying to win.

Can we start to accept bowser is flat out busted already? Can we take a moment to appreciate LeoN was only top 200, but then got to top 27 after only 4 months of playing BOWSER? That stupid neutral B is disgusting, can give you 40% in less than 3 seconds you can't avoid, his frame 6 side B is a kill option most of the time you can't do sh1t about it but die or take easy 20% damage out of it. His fair's busted, hitbox's huge, it's safe on shield, range is disgusting and is also a kill move, most characters have to struggle to not put his moves on stall because they're their kill option, but playing bowser takes a huge chunk of all strategy out of the game, you just hit and kill easily.

Yeah, crazy how busted Bowser is. He's dominating the meta; you can't go to any tournament or even play online without 50-70% of the players being Bowser mains. Honestly, how long can this go on for? Nintendo must know that he needs to be nerfed dramatically; surely they at least pay attention to esports enough to know that every single one of the top 50 PGR Ultimate players are Bowser mains. There is no question in anybody's minds that he far surpasses all of the top tiers; he has landed the top spot in every single pro's tier list since 2018.
