Soke Inoue Yoshimi - The importance of fundamentals - Seminar Italy 2013

Soke Inoue Yoshimi, Rika Usami's legendary master, explains the importance of fundamentals of body movement to be successful in Kata and Kumite. These two disciplines appear different in the execution of their techniques, however they share the same principles of body movement. Working on these fundamentals should be considered a long term effort, with the aim of growing technically, improving your self defence, and achieving speed and success in competitions.

Many thanks for this video, Mr. Timmi. The late Master Youshimi , Exactly, the succession of Kihon, Kata, and Kumite with emphasis on Kata is a long-term approach.
