- A DIY Ball-Pen Hammer from a Bolt Using ONLY a Rotary Tool?! In this video, I will show you how to make a ball peen hammer WITH A TWIST! No pun intended. I challenged myself to make it using only the flex shaft rotary tool that was sent to me by Banggood.com to use in a project.

I used an old steel bolt that I found to make this ball peen hammer, and also some scrap wood for the handle... Without a lathe. I tried using the hex nut as a nail puller tool, I'd call that a partial success :)

Empty bank account, running out of space, being unable to sleep because your mind is on fire with project ideas, cutting your fingers off or getting blind or deaf from tools, so I would say no :)

What do you need a ball-peen hammer for? I never found a use for mine.
Adding some boot hook eyelets to the tops of some combat boots. A ball peen flares the metal to finish setting the rivets.
