- A quick trip out to a Bradenton Pier to check for Sheepshead! Fished with some frozen mussels I had left over in the freezer and got into a keeper. Pins were in overdrive and there was a cloud of them I had to get through just to get to the Sheepshead. Crabs would have done wonders this day!

I live here on Anna Maria Island and instantly recognized your fishin' spot. It's the Bridge Street Pier. Bit of trivia: The Bridge Street Pier is what remains of the first bridge to the island. 😊
Thanks for the fun fact! Always cool to learn that type of history!
Quick trip out before work!! Stay tuned for tournament videos and kayak meet up!
At least you found some👏
Yessir! I had fun!
Hmm that's interesting, never tried mussels before! Nice fishing
Works great when bait isn't readily available.
Kool video my brother!!
Much appreciated!
Good job!
Appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing with us. I have been there a couple of times. Have you tried using live muscles and leaving the shell on? The sheeps will go for them but not the pins. Problem with just the meat is that pin fish will go for them too.
I haven't tried the live ones yet but I see others using them successfully. I was wondering if I put them in a mesh, like they do with Oysters, if that would make a big difference. Thinking it would!
Thanks for watching!
I've fished that pier for hours with mussels and nada lol. Everyone around me was using barnacles and pulling them up left and right. But that's my luck hahaha
Flavor of the day? 😆 barnacles are gold, though. Pinfish tore up my mussels.
you're good man very nice video and very good idea fishing with mussels, sometime I do with oysters it just is good :) thanks for sharing God Bless!!
Appreciate the kind words! God bless!
I'd use a 3/8 jig head that is like green color for sheepshead I was thinking about fishing here maybe later today my wife told me about this this Pier. I'm an hour south so 🥴
It's not a bad pier and holds a lot of Sheepshead when they are in full force. If you don't see much action, go down the road to Rod and Reel pier. Like $2 to fish it but holds a ton of fish. Tight lines!
@@FaithNFishingrip to the rod and reel now 😢
Is it open at night?
@@GirthyJP I have never tried to go at night and honestly don't know if you can fish it after dark. Sorry.
Where are you fishing at? I would love to give it a try
This is the pier behind Anna Maria Oyster bar. Bradenton pier
Where is this pier in Bradenton
It is just off of Gulf Drive N heading toward Anna Maria. Google Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the Pier and you will see it there. Can probably find it by looking up Bradenton Historic Street Pier as well.
You’re so nice! I wish you could come over here to Southeast Florida for a fishing trip. If you do please do a meet and greet. It’ll increase your subscribers.
Appreciate it! I'd love to come out to the east coast to fish!
Why the HELL would you keep a tiny sheepshead like that ?? Bro throw it back let it get bigger for next year. We have a 12” minimum here and we still never keep them even when they’re that small. You want sheepshead to get BIG! The meat on those babies aren’t event worth it.....this is a joke
Thanks for watching. This fish was bleeding quite a bit to begin with. 6 fish that size will make a good meal, just the same. Everyone has their opinion on what to harvest. I encourage everyone to follow all local regulations and laws. Tight lines!
Not to mention who's stupid enough to share what where how why gear Teknique time of year excetera excetera unless of course you freaking stupid
Wow, just seeing this comment now.... complaining that I shared a public pier and information on how people can become better anglers is a negative? Never saw it that way. Hopefully that was a hypothetical and not a judgement on my intellect... which would be horribly incorrect.
