As a teacher? I recommend it highly! I fly from Hawaii to Boston to learn these incredible arts. Zhou Xuan Yun is a great teacher and his Martial skills are awesome.

The best demonstration of Wudang Xuan Wu Quan that I had ever seen so far, so swift and powerful.

This is the reason I started learning Wudang Arts.
I saw this Master doing this form and that was that.
I live in Hawaii and Master Zhou Xuan Yun lives in Boston
and yet he's now my teacher.
    What a wonderful world!

the layered snap attacks almost hide in the movements. This is a formidable style

He does it without any effort. Every time I perform this routine, I tire myself up. The best performance I have seen. A lot of hidden power here.

+si lafuyang Many of us came to America for freedom, not for money. There are hard working students in America too. A lot depends on how you teach. If you teach well, students will be happy to work hard.

I just pre-ordered the Wudang Basics DVD, and am looking forward to using it in my practice.
About six years ago, I started studying Baguazhang under Sun Zhenkang in order to lose weight and improve health. I have always admired Wudang style martial arts, and I know this DVD will add a lot to my training.
I hope Master Zhou will on occasion be able to some down to the Philadelphia area for seminars. I would gladly come.

Thanks! I'm trying to spread the word beyond Boston too, so I travel as much as possible to teach. We also just finished a Kung Fu Fundamentals DVD, which should help spread the arts beyond just where I can travel too.

Talent works for fame and fortune: the motive which moves genius to productivity is not so easy to determine. It is not money; genius seldom has any. It is not fame; fame is too uncertain and of little worth.

      what is Chen Si? Si?????

    • @Rainbow_Oracle
      @Rainbow_Oracle 7 лет назад

Si just means style in Mandarin Chinese. So Chen si taiji means Chen style tai chi in most people's English. (although technically it should be Chen si tajiquan but, you know - semantics).

Help. What is the difference with Wudangquan and Taiji? are they one in the same? I get very confused when I study Wudang. Was Wudang at first a Doist temple that eventually adopted martial arts around the "Sanfeng Era"

武当拳 is a collective for all the martial arts practiced in Wudang, there are more than 100 styles developed there. 太极拳 is just one style.

He is not holding his thing. It is a movement pressing down to the "diantian".

This is a beautiful art form but art is all it is. In real life situations those moves aren't practical.
