@@JamesWalker-ky5yr I agree and that's not what I said. karate came from kung-fu which was taught underground by those lower-class Monks who happened to escape Shaolin's attacks.They taught the common ppl lower defense skill of Shaolin. During these times (the last time) after the Shaolin was rebuilt, and the Infamous Chinese Boxer's rebellion occurred. It was from that out put of other Asians in China that karate was born in Japan around 1940. If you look at certain Japanese forms you will see what I am saying is inherent in what this guy is teaching but kung-fu or karate is not Martial Art
