If you like Celtic music, have you listened to Loreena McKennitt? She is Canadian, but her music is a blend of Celtic and Eastern. My favourite of hers is "Caravanserai" live at the Alhambra.
Great reaction to one of my favourite Ayreon songs and I do love this live version buttt there is one version I love even more! It is the version from 01011001 - Live Beneath the Waves for two reasons: 1. I was at that concert and 2. It became a duet between Damien Wilson my favourite vocalist and Hansi Kürsch also one of my personal favourites. In this live version the only original vocalist from the album is Hansi Kürsch so from the 3 versions that exist of this song Hansi is the only one singing on all three, so for the other versions I guess it depends on which vocalist you love more. Also I am unsure if you knew this but the bassist in this video Johan van Stratum is now also the live bassist for Blind Guardian, I got to see him play live for Blind Guardian too which was fun.
I absolutely ft the entire binary album, could you react to it? If you can't do the entire thing could you at least do Liquid Eternity? It's my favorite song from the album closely followed by The Fifth Extinction or The Sixth Extinction.
Because Arjen is Dutch, like Floor Jansen, the "J" is pronounced as if it was a "Y", so his name is actually pronounced Ar-ee-en. Apparently it is a coincidence that his name is similar to the project Ayreon. The name Ayreon came from the fact that their first song featured a hero that was going to be called Aries, but Aries didn't have enough syllables to fit with the music, so it was extended to Ayreon.
Would be nice if you reacted to some of the most recent releases from Nightwish's Yesterwynde album as no longer include Marko. Maybe try An Ocean of Strange Islands which is excellent or the shorter ballad Lanternlight.
I have a bit of a throw back for Nightwish revisiting this coming this weekend. Once I recuperate from my chest cold I will throw in some new Nightwish reactions.
