So glad to see you continuing on with your Tommy/Majestica journey! The three front guys all have great voices and Tommy has done songs with them on his channel. Chris Davidson (the bassist) did "Murder in the Skies" with him and Petter (rhymes with better) Hjerpe (other guitarist) did "Future World". I'm not sure if the drummer sings, I have never seen anything that he sings in, but I hope Tommy doesn't wear him out too quickly by writing too many songs that give him such a workout! 🥁 ❤

If you like Celtic music, have you listened to Loreena McKennitt? She is Canadian, but her music is a blend of Celtic and Eastern. My favourite of hers is "Caravanserai" live at the Alhambra.

Because Arjen is Dutch, like Floor Jansen, the "J" is pronounced as if it was a "Y", so his name is actually pronounced Ar-ee-en. Apparently it is a coincidence that his name is similar to the project Ayreon. The name Ayreon came from the fact that their first song featured a hero that was going to be called Aries, but Aries didn't have enough syllables to fit with the music, so it was extended to Ayreon.

I absolutely ft the entire binary album, could you react to it? If you can't do the entire thing could you at least do Liquid Eternity? It's my favorite song from the album closely followed by The Fifth Extinction or The Sixth Extinction.

Great reaction to one of my favourite Ayreon songs and I do love this live version buttt there is one version I love even more! It is the version from 01011001 - Live Beneath the Waves for two reasons: 1. I was at that concert and 2. It became a duet between Damien Wilson my favourite vocalist and Hansi Kürsch also one of my personal favourites. In this live version the only original vocalist from the album is Hansi Kürsch so from the 3 versions that exist of this song Hansi is the only one singing on all three, so for the other versions I guess it depends on which vocalist you love more. Also I am unsure if you knew this but the bassist in this video Johan van Stratum is now also the live bassist for Blind Guardian, I got to see him play live for Blind Guardian too which was fun.

Would be nice if you reacted to some of the most recent releases from Nightwish's Yesterwynde album as no longer include Marko. Maybe try An Ocean of Strange Islands which is excellent or the shorter ballad Lanternlight.

Tommy played, as a guitarist, with Sabaton for 7 years. Sabaton is one of the biggest metalbands in the world. The drummer of Sabaton is married to Floor Jansen from Nightwish. Tommy played on and produced some of Floors covers during the pandemic. Tommy left Sabaton early 2024 to concentrate on his solocarreer as a singer, his RUclips-channel and his own band Majestica (former ReinXeed). Tommy started Majestica in 2002 when he was 14. Majestica will release their next album on 7th of february 2025. They have released 2 singels this year. Majestica starts the second leg of their tour in Germany 8th of january 2025. Majestica will be playing at both Hellfest and Wacken Open Air this summer. Tommy is the main composer of Majesticas music so he knows both to sing and compose in english.

I saw a reaction from a roadie who invited Snake from Skid Row to listen to Tommys version and he said he killed the song and was brilliant, and he is!!! Greetings from Sweden.

I'm a bit late, but I think it was a good idea to revisit. Can't have been 2004 if you heard Annette... This performance is still a landmark even though not a top fave for me. Emppu brilliant as always, Jukka heating the c*** out of the drums and Floors impeccable vocals (not to mention gravity-deying hair)... Thank you and HNY to you!

Ironically, Tarja and Floor are close friends. Neither singer complains about the other. Despite what some people think, it's totally OK to like one singer over another - or even both. Every singer brings a different sound. To ignore one is ridiculous. Empuu has a twin. Jukka hand picked his successor when he had to leave the active band for medical reasons. When Marco left, that was hard. However, he is in a healthier place. Troy is trying to do more vocals. I tend to think the band needs a stronger male vocalist going forward. I like Troy, for certain things, but his voice is delicate. Some songs need a stronger voice IMHO.

Floor took command of her "army" from the start ("Dark Chest of Wonders") which really stunned us in the audience. We weren't expecting the power she brought. We were continuously excited by her song-by-song.

Floor has recently become mother to a second daughter (Lucy) and did the vocals for the album six weeks after giving birth. It'll be a while before NW returns to touring.

I love Nightwish in all its incarnations. If you listen closely you will hear many differences to the original version. All of them improve the emotional impact of this masterpiece. One word - Floor! ❣

GLS may be your personal favorite now,but when you hear other songs, you'll have a hard time playing favorites. I was in this audience. When I bought my tickets, Anette was still set to sing here. Tickets sold out a year in advance. Floor was filling in after Anette was fired in October 2012. The tour needed to be finished and they called Floor to finish the tour. She was hired after the Tour was over. Timing was easier after time because most of the band had audio monitors with a click track controlled by the audio engineer. The only place where an issue occurred was when Floor returned to the stage after the instrumental piece "Last of the Wilds" to sing "Bless the Child". When offstage, she changed outfits and had a problem with a zipper (I think) under her left armpit. When she leaves the stage in GLS here, she fixes it and comes back with the problem resolved. GLS was the 13th song on the set list of 15. Wacken is a special festival - between 9000-10000 people live in Wacken and can get free tickets. However, this concert drew 82000+ people. I rode on a bus to it.

I love the whole song, but especially when she points to Jukka - in one of her greatest moments - and when she smiled after her belting and moving her bending forward to the crowed - she knows "she did it well" and she seems to tell us - it was for you....we love you Floor and NW.

The music in the break after Emppu's solo is the backing track from the London Orchestra and Choir track Tuomas wrote for them to perform. It is a very meditative track for imho the blue memories referenced in the lyrics.
