We are from Connecticut, but we were just over in Hannibal a couple of weeks ago. Wish we would have gone to this beautiful location while we were there! The owl in the tree was amazing and the whole area made me feel at peace. Thank you so much for bringing us along with you!
There is a LOT of see and do in Missouri! If you are ever back this way, please feel free to message! I can help with trip planning in the area! Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Happy Trails Hiking Thank you so much! I (Jen) actually grew up in Missouri, so it is very nostalgic to me!! We will definitely message you the next time we are in the area. My family still lives out there, so we do visit!
My husband grew up in Hannibal, and my family moved there from NWMO when I was 16, and I lived there until I was 43, and I have never been to this park! I have been on the lake, but never in the park. We are visiting Hannibal this week from Georgia, and I am going to try to get to this park before we head back home! 😊
Lots of birds singing. Oh and owl! And a turtle! He's getting away from you pretty fast. Tandem walking at the picnic area - like a 3-legged race. Pretty lake. Great food. Another turtle, with his own camper with slide outs, LOL. Nice review!
Nice park! Your site looked perfect - great hiking, an owl, a lake and the little guys carrying their shells on their back - loved it! Glad you were able to camp over the 4th and wow - those ribs 😍
Thanks, Heather. I booked the site in December. And you know we have been able to travel in our state. It is not the same, but still fun to be in the forest and parks.

It’s Mark Twain State Park. The lake was created after the State Park was opened in 1920’s The lake is all about fishing. Kayaking sucks here. Not many thing to do here. Even the Winery is lacking. Missouri folks may think it’s the bees knees though
Hello from Okinawa, Japan! We just found your channel and subscribed. We are moving home to the USA next month to start our full time Rv adventures. Please check out our channel and let us know what you think. Thanks for sharing this campground.
Hello, from Missouri, USA. Thank you for stopping in and for following along. I am not reviewing channels today, but I will add it to my list to review. This campground was great and the park and trails are indicative of the forests and parks in Midwest US.

Super cute video! How many miles of trails?
The trails in the park are short. The total is around 7 miles.
