Fully believe Bones would leave him in a knot. Anyway, on replay, there’s only actually one (and another maybe) that were legit to the back. Rest were around his ear. Just looks worse cuz he’s anything but refined, lol. He was done, and he knew it. No protest, he didn’t even get up right away…
@@cartierdavid9440no he can also be limiting attack by presenting the back of his head. If Bader stopped moving whilst turtled you would be right. As he was moving, you are wrong
I've noticed, the past like 8-10 years, refs RARELY call back of the head strikes, but I clearly remember back in strikeforce era around 2007-2013 I seen a lot of fights get stopped, then reset, due to back of the head strikes. The refs legit need to be more consistent with that shit unless the unified rules changed, but I feel like back of the head strikes regardless of it being in a scramble or flurry or whatever, back of the head strike, fight gets stopped reset. End of story
1. Different weight classes (230 vs 260) 2. Illegal blows to the back of head 3) Terrible stoppage (ok with it considering the size advantage of Pereira)
Just my take/perspective, but my consensus from most people's consensus in the community was Ferrera was finishing him in the first or second but people weren't already thinking Bader was going to win. Not disrespect to Bader, but this seemed like the easiest read on the card. I know nothing about the fighters prior, but hearing he was in his 40s, hadn't fought in over a year, can't remember if it was his stand up or ground game that lacked, but I found it too hard to imagine doing either with such a height advantage and Ferreira likely able to just stand up from take down attempts
They wanted to make Ferreira vs ngannou more than anything. Horrible stoppage. Dude was getting punched as directly in the back of the head. Ngannou is going to really hurt this guy. I swear there are times where bader comes to just collect a check.
That depends if this guy doesn’t destroy Ngannou like how Anthony Joshua did. I’m just saying. Plus I have a Lotta respect and support to Francis Ngannou.

155 vs 185 is...mathematically, literally, way different. 30 lbs to heavyweights is less than 30 lbs to a lightweight. Thats almost 20% of a lightweight body.
Ryan gotta be a good fighter to be that small at heavyweight & hold the belt. Cuz 1000s of fighters have fought in bellator only to be cut cuz they lose.
I truly believe at this point that Bader only still has a job because these underling promotions like PFL, Bellator (RIP), etc., think they need former UFC employees (stars is a stretch I’m not willing to make here) to gain some type of legitimacy or validation. It’s crazy. I’d rather watch a relative unknown put on a good show and work his way up through exciting fights and success, than to tune in, possibly pay money, and watch Bader get knocked out in 40 seconds. Again. And again. And- … He fakes being overly nice and humble, and just ultimately comes off as a bit of an idiot at times, but more bothersome than that is that he’s just plain old boring. Fall asleep listening to him, and his fights don’t wake you up. Time to hang it up, bud. 🤷♂️
@joemusicmam64 , it's because MMA promotions don't typically have a cruiser weight division of 225lbs. The max for light heavy weight is 205, the max for heavyweight is 265. Lots of fighters like Bader, Alex Periera, Ciryl Gane etc. Would honestly probably fit nicely in a 225 lbs division.
Have you ever watched K1? It’s about the skills not size and weight. In one point you had Semmy Schilt that was 212 cm or 6.11 ft (for you Americans), and 150 kg 330 lbs that was a champion for some time but he was loosing from Peter Aerts and Badr Hari. He had advantage against most of the guys because of his size and reach but he was still loosing, not a lot but I think Peter beat him 2 or three times and lost one, not sure.
Stupid strategy by Bader. Why even try to stand at all? smh Get in there and use your wrestling asap! 😒 Renan striking is elite. Baders wrestling is elite. That was his only chance.
