In response to South Georgia's dark history of excessive whaling and hunting, the island is now a protected area. What are your thoughts on the island's ability to bounce back?
We haven't completely destroyed our biodiversity and pushed our climate off a cliff, so there's time to turn around!
Incredibly uplifting and heartwarming to see that we humans can actually do something right! Loved the series, thankyou.
This rat-eradication technology needs to be shared internationally and deployed to many islands around the world.
Never underestimate Mother Nature. When our unsustainable way of life leads to the extinction of humans, the whole planet will be resurrection island. Awesome series!
Life finds a way. There's so much more we can do to protect this planet and wild life... It pains me to see sometimes people don't realise how important this is
Love Bertie's style of presenting, you can tell he's genuinely passionate and he brings such a great energy to these videos!
He has a way of making you excited as well. I love it.
Bertie has got to be one of Nat Geo's best hires in recent years.
Agreed, his enthusiasm is very genuine.
I love his passion, attitude, and the coherence of narrative with facts keeping me inspired throughout. Absolutely brilliant.
Sir Gregor, I officially declare you the wholesomest Filmmaker in all of the Nat Geo Lands.
I stand behind this .
100% agree
It's a sad commentary that the destruction only ended because it ceased to be economically viable. Love this series.
3:01 that "hihi" is just the most wholesome thing ever
I cried. How precious these are. Nature should be protected at all cost. ❤️
This is absolutely stunning footage, but I can't shake the images from the reels of footage shown around the 5min mark. Such atrocities we bring to this world...
"Let's make sure we give more of our wild places a second chance"👌👌
The footage of that poor bird being attacked by rats especially in the eye made me so sad D:
When I read your post I decided, weak person that I am, I can't watch this. As an ocean sailor and general explorer I decided to give it a go. They clipped the film just at the moment you could tell what was getting ready to happen. I wonder if it was your comment. If so, thanks.
I am so addicted with your voice Bertie, you are a natural story teller ❤❤❤😍😍😍
Thank you to Bertie Gregory, the camera crew, and everyone closely and remotely involved, this was a wonderful series ! I truly enjoyed every minute.
Is it just me or this series ended up with a kind of weird order... this kinda feels like it should've been the first episode. xD
But still, amazing work guys.
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they decuded that this wasn't interesting enough episode to start with to get people watching so they made the order different? That's what often happens to tv series.
I think this is beautiful and so well made. People need to see more of these kind of series, they're amazing, touching and really educational. Also he's energy and excitement makes it more entertainment.
i wish we could learn from past mistakes of temporary economic gains are not worth. Without the ecological community. we are nothing. but sadly, big companies are too hooked on gaining money and being rich. Such beauty shouldn't be taken for granted.
صح 👍
Absolutely love this series
Do you think all those that survived this massacre have told their stories to the future generations in their own language?
The whales yes. Not sure about the others.
@@goingghost8297
Agreed.
@@Nassark You must know, eh... Linas?
Bertie!😍 It's so good to hear you speak with such warmth...Nice to see animals among human like you...
*Much educating, very wow!*
NowYouPeepMe [Old Channel] Much understand, very it’s a meme!
My heart broke at the baby albatross getting attacked by the rats.
Our world is so beautiful. I truly believe that even if there are other lifeforms and beautiful planets somewhere else in the Universe that they cant beat the beauty of Earth and it's beautiful inhabitants. We are so lucky to have the most beautiful planet right here.
Gregor keeps me sooo entertained I always get stuck watching all his vids💯
The only thoughts in my mind ''I just finished the best series I have ever seen in youtube''.Have no words, how can I thank Natgeo, how can I show my immense respect to Bertie.

We as humans do not deserve this planet 🙏

Sad part is now we're consuming so much oil and fuel that flubber and whale oil would never supply our demand
