Nice to give the Aggies a yummy plate of humble pie. Notre Dame spent the entire year fighting tougher teams while A&M was undefeated against mediocre teams and somehow squeezed by Stanford.

Went to high school in Texas. Lots of Aggies fans kept telling me that ND didn’t even deserve to be there. I bet as many of them as I could. They are some humble pie, but they all paid. Got em the next year too. Lol

This was a terrific team. Started the season a little rocky but by the end they were as good as anybody. Totally dominated an undefeated Texas aggie team that had a tremendous defense

My wife and I flew in for this game from New Jersey, it was without a doubt the coldest game I have ever attended. Was not expecting single digits at kickoff. Loved the run game
    with Bettis and Brooks.

We were in Florida visiting the grandparents for the first time at their new house down there. Getting a Super Nintendo for Christmas and then ND dominating this game made for a great Christmas break.

This Texas A&M team may gave finished the regular season undefeated but really have not faced a team with the talent and team speed of Notre Dame. Notre Dame dominated the Aggies in the trenches both offensively and defensively and that was the main difference in this game.

First Cotton Bowl in 88 for Lou Holtz Notre Dame didn't go well.Later Cotton Clashes with Aggies went better

This A&M team was undefeated but had only played one ranked team all season and that was the season opener back in August. They also weren't dominant against the pitiful opposition in the old Southwest Conference so this outcome was not that surprising. They hadn't played anyone even close to the caliber of Notre Dame.

Aggies had dominant defense then couldn't get the offense rolling as in FlaSt cotton also. But they had excellent defense. Took them to this point. Undefeated that year so yes they did dominate.
