    After 5 years of redefining the high-performance fin market, the Seawing Nova has been re-engineered for even more comfort, speed and power!
    The Seawing Nova 2 combines classic ScubaPro fin technology with the latest innovations in hydrodynamic design and cutting edge materials. This fin has the power, acceleration and manoeuverability of a paddle fin with the comfort, efficiency and effortless speed of split fins.
    Improvements for Seawing Nova 2 Fin:
    * Generation 4 articulated hinge with Pivot Control Technology that provides an optimised Angle of Attack with a heightened level of rugged durability.
    * Modified Blade Geometry to provide increased lateral rigidity to deliver an increased responsiveness and thrust at full power together with improved frog kick and manoeuvrability.
    * New aggressive Soft Co-Moulded heel grip pads made from a special grade of Thermo Plastic Vulcanizate (TPV) to provide improved grip for walking on slippery surfaces.
    Features:
    * Articulated joint allows the blade to pivot and the entire blade is able to generate thrust. Pivot control technology ensures the most efficient angle of attack is maintained no matter how hard or softly you kick, generating thrust without drag or wasted energy.
    * Clean water blade geometry for optimum propulsion. Water is free to flow onto the working section of the blade, drag is reduced and thrust increased.
    * Variable pivot control ribs insures that the most efficient angle of attack is maintained across all strengths of kick.
    * Ergonomic foot pocket with extended heel plate insuring ultimate power transmission with less leg strain.
    * Durable Monprene® construction making the Seawing virtually indestructible.
    * Wing tips arc upwards, increasing high-speed stability.
    * Marine quality bungee heel strap with custom adjustment system for total comfort and convenience.

    As the person who's been using this model for almost 5 years since the beginning of my fresh grad from open water course, I could say that I love this fin a lot. I have used some other fins during the time to, but the feeling of these one is quite unique. Since, I've diving for quite some times and in many different condition of the ocean, I have to say, these fins can go with any condition and really efficient. However, for the beginner, you might think that you hvae got the wrong fins, why did the seller told me that this fins have good performance. I have to say these fins may not be good choice for the beginner whom doesn't quite know how to control their fins correctly and may end up can go nowhere with these fins. So my recommend for the beginner is to go with more traditional design fin first. Nevertheless, since I said before I love seawing nova very now. First of all it's efficient and good acceleration. Easily fit on/off with the strap. Compact. Moreover, it's quite unique design, you normally gonna be only one using it during the trip. lol

    I have been using them for 5 years now and love them I just bought a set of heel straps as one of the rubber straps has started to split but still usable and now I have a back up just in case they split all the while on a dive.. always be prepared for anything while on a boat I say..

    how do you tell the different generations of the fin apart?

    • @TheScubaProfessionals
      @TheScubaProfessionals  4 года назад +1

      HI, you can tell eth difference by the size of the grooves on the arms of the fin. The seawing nova had more groves the Nova 2 has less. But they no longer make the nova 1 fin, only the Nova 2 fin is available so there is no real need to tell them apart as there is not many Nova 1 fins in circulation.

    How do they compare to the split fins?

    • @TheScubaProfessionals
      @TheScubaProfessionals  3 года назад

      We believe they are better than split fins as they give you allot more power on your fin stroke.

      split fins are for people whose legs do not have that much power, like some girls, cuz the amount of water they hold is lesser. if you are not lack of exercise, I do not suggest you to buy split fins

      @@hemolysis7357 I own a pair of split fins and I love them. I had knee surgery awhile back and at the time my open water instructor recommended I should try split fins. Never look back.
