Hell yea, just what I needed! I was so tried of failing to get the blue coins. Even when I could wall jump all the way to the top, I would end up misaligned and not collect any.
I just recently got my 120th star. I must say this is one of the hardest 100 coin challenges in Super Mario 64. I personally find it easier to complete this with the blue coins but it’s nice to see that it can be done without it.
I gotta give Mario some credit. He is literally so brave right now even though he’s like, what, 10,000 feet in the air. I would’ve been scared to death if that were me. Kudos to Mario.

Thank you so much I was so tired of failing the blue coins. It seemed every time I practiced the wall kicks I did it perfectly but when I hit the switch I failed every time lol
If you keep practicing you’ll eventually get it. I’m now able to get all blue coins in rainbow ride because of how much time I’ve spent practicing. You just have to master the wall jump and once you master that, get the correct camera angle, and bam, you got it! Just keep practicing buddy and you’ll get it. I’ve seen some speed runners do this too.
Last star, always failed to collect the blue coins on top and struggled to get more than 90 coins but with this way i got 110 coins and i only collected the first blue coin at the bottom. Finally got 120 stars

Great video. But.. If you can get at least 3 blue coins I found it easier than going to the ship. Me and getting to the ship didn't jive. But it's good to know you can do it without the blue coins. Cheers buddy! You got a sub because your other videos are just as good!

For the blue coins you have to do that weird backflip jump by facing the wall then away from it before jumping quickly towards it to make it in time…. It’s a lot easier than this I think. I HATE elevators
Dammit man! I got 95 coins. But I went a different way. And I was next to a star I haven’t yet had. Should have at least got that one reachable without flip jumps blue coin and I would have had my 100 coin star for this level. 😜😜😜
Got my 100 coins in this level without any blue coins, its nerve wracking. Finally got 100 coins in Tick Tock Clock today, hardest thing ever, approached game with minute hand on 3, so things were moving, but slowly. Go for the boxes, then get the blue coins, you won't need the reds at all
