Joe, just subscribed. Beautiful 3000. I'm working on a Ford 231 which is similar to a 2600, but used for highway mowing. Has a 730 loader. It needs new tires, fenders to be straightened and some paint. Rebuilt the Diesel fuel injector pump and injectors. Starts right up. Hope you make it to 1k subs. Ole Smokie Pete.

Lovely Tractor, you got a good finish with the paint. Only one thing, if you are using it for field work, You need to convert the exhaust pipe straight up past the bonnet. Breathing diesel fumes can be dangerous. P/S, gearboxes get water inside them, due to the gearbox access plate bolts, not having sealer around them when fitted. Over the years rain gets in, surprising, but true. Anyway, it looks lovely.
Yea looked at flipping the manifold over but it would have to be replaced But that is one thing I need to do It’s not to bad until you’re changing implements Thanks for the info
@@joetaravella848 You only have to add the 180° bend, and drop a strate pipe into it,! Your manifold is fine. Or if you prefer, use your old silencer? OK.
I kinda beat you up a little for leaving that tractor out all them years but you sure made amends on it. That tractor looks great. Now keep it under a shelter...
I'm going to restore my 1973 Ford 3000 gas tractor this winter. I'm trying to get details on what paint color codes were originally applied to each part of the tractor. Any info you can share would be appreciated.
Tractor supply has ford blue and white. But there are 2 different blues so make sure you have the right one My automotive paint store actually had the color and there’s came with hardener. That makes it tougher and not fade as easy
Would you mind sending me the link you bought the replacement parts? Would you get a different battery tray from somewhere else if you had to do it over again?
Ordered it all off eBay I think all the parts are the same just different people selling it Would be nice to find a good used battery tray But it wasn’t to hard to get that one to fit Hope that helps

I love the end result of your paint job it is excellent for a tractor. If you keep your fluids changed it will last another half century. Be blessed.
Yea they have Ford tractors out there that are easily 100 years old
That tractor turned out amazing! Well done!
Thanks!
The next video will probably be me fixing all the leaks
Now I remember why I parked it outside
