Great Peter Thanks. Its refreshing to get a tutorial that explains the logic behind the process too.
Thank you Peter. We use Access 2003 in a HUGE way at my work. Since there is a lot of "controlled" information, we have user level privileges. I really want to upgrade to Access 2007, but in doing that I lose the user level privileges that we've relied on. My IT guy says that SharePoint will allow me to control the editing privileges. Your video is amongst the first ones I've watched and proves to be very helpful as I begin the journey of being our SharePoint administrator. Thank you for this methodical and simple instruction. I'm off to view more!
People can actually learn SP from his videos without being bored. Really nice!
Can you share me link of how to create orgchart for the first time in sharepoint
Awesome, this is exactly what i been searching for some time. kalmstrom, you are the best !!
Thank you! A great way to begin understanding what Sharepoint does.
That is exactly what I intended, so I am glad you like it, Steve!

Very good video. Do you have a series of sharepoint 2013 tutorial ? will be great if yes.
Yes, we have. You are welcome to the Tips section of our website at www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/
number 4 : after creating those pages. How do I do with them ?let say I want to write on progress page, solution and plans .
For info about links, refer to our tutorial series on SharePoint Links: www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/SPLinksIntro.htm
Good one, cheers....
Thanks Peter, i´m struggling a bit to understand how to manage the Apps on the home page.
I see what you've done with adding Appointments, Calender, Tasks and Photos to the quick launch, but is there a way to lay that out when e.g. clicking Sales and that it is all in the middle of the home page... much like 'Timeline', 'Get Started' and 'Documents' on the 'Team Site' template.
Much appreciated
***** , Regarding the 'Subsite', is it possible to give access to a single subsite to various 'Sites'?
e.g.
Departments have sensitive information that I'm not keen on sharing with people who do not need to know, however, departments need to interact. So I've figured out that a SP can have various subsites within it but my question is, is it possible to allocate access to a single subsite to various SP's? e.g. two departments; Marketing and Accounting need to interact with regards to budgets and payments, however, neither of them need to have any more access to the others information. Therefore, I would like to create a subsite called 'Budgets and Payments' which both SP's can access.
I look forward another Demo
hi .number 4 .after creating those 3 pages .progress, problems and plans. If I want to write something on progress, problems and plans .where can I write or I want to upload
merci beaucoup c'est court clair et précis
Merci beaucoup à vous!
brilliant - thanks
Most welcome!
Very Good video
Thanks!
Thank you for the video, is there any way to instead of embeded youtube videos, we can use our owns? Eg, if you need to provide video tutorials internally, how to use Sharepoint to do so? Thanks in advance.
If you have SharePoint Online, you can use the Office 365 Video app for your internal videos: www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/Office-365-Course/First-Microsoft-Office-365-Video.htm
If you have SharePoint on-premise, there is no video portal. In that case you must upload the videos to RUclips before you can embed them in a page.
Great vid! thanks
You are welcome :-)
I learned lot of sharepoint topics from your vid, and i get few questions... How can i upload or host websites from sp2013, after i don DNS staff...i tried many times but can't pls any suggestions on it, tnx
Hi Yoseph,
That is a whole other series of videos which I hope to publish in the future.Peter
Thanks for your quick respond, hope we see soon and good lack!
Can i get sharepoint traning online or offline by this teacher
We do offer services by the hour as described here:
www.kalmstrom.com/Services/4-hours-sessions.htm
Hi Thanks for the video its brillant , i have a question please if you can help when i create the 3 pages planning , progress , problems how will the user give a feedback on it as when we click on it , it just opens the page , i mean where to put the data ?
See my other videos on how to edit pages. However, I would suggest actually using a list for those progress reports instead of pages. This is just a quick get started guide. I have a few hundred more 😊 www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/
This video is spot on. I have a Sharepoint online account that i started to learn Sharepoint. Do you think that one user account is enough to learn and create a demo site?
Yes, it should be enough. And thank you!
Peter
Hello! Do you have a 2019 version of this video?
Unfortunately not, but there are two newer versions. Classic: www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/SharePoint-Online-Exercises/SharePoint-Online-Intranet.htm and Modern: www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/SharePoint-Online-Exercises/Modern-Sites-Intranet.htm. There is a card in the beginning of this old video pointing to the newer classic video. It is 2016, and the differences to 2019 are minor.
Is it possible to create a IT helpdesk or ticketing system using sharepoint online
great video , but I want to know how to convert applications made with ASP.Net or MVC to share point 2013
I have just started with Sharepoint and wanted to know is there any way to use a free trial version before creating an actual intranet for the firm?
Yes, you can start with a 30 days free trial version. Please
follow the link:
www.kalmstrom.com/Tips/Office-365-Course/Setting-up-Office-365.htm
Here you can find step by step instructions, including video
demonstration on how to create a trial account.
is it possible to integrate excel-survey responses view on SharePoint?
Yes, it should be done with the Excel Web Access Web Part. I will put together a demo on how to do this in the near future.
Excellent
Thank you!
Have you also demonstrated how to install server , active directory, DNS ,SQL Server?
Hi Peter, Can you please do a video showing how to set a workflow on a document store, which involves emailing a user a link to a document, getting the user to read the document, then getting them to confirm they have read it with a tick box or similar, then making them fill in a quick survey. Is this possible ? I would need it to be as seemless as possible to the end user (automated, step by step). Great Videos by the way.
Hi Robert, that is a rather complex series of videos. I will try to get to it 😊
Thanks for the quick response to my question. I have worked out how to send an email via the workflow, get them to read it etc, i can create a separate worflow for the survey, what im struggling with is creating one single workflow with all the above. I wish sharepoint was easier to use :) Thanks again
There is a rather old bug that makes workflows not start based on Survey responses being added.
Bravo :D
+darwich mohamed Thanks :-)
Thank You !!
is this part office 2013? And is this really need for me? (i am just a normal student who is going to university 1 year later and currently play computer games and mainly use powerpoint and word for school work, is this product for business people or just anyone?)
No Justin, SharePoint is not included in Office 2013. It is a separate Microsoft product, used by companies and organisations for sharing and collaboration. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_SharePoint.
thx, perhaps the office 2013 professional or even just home and office should be enough for my use.
Justin Chan Yes, probably, but I hope you will get a chance to work with SharePoint later in life. Good luck with your studies! Peter
Hi There,
We are trying to create a complaint tracker for the employees to be able to fill. What we need is that the person filling the form, and the team the complaint belongs to, to get an e-mail notification once the form is filled and submitted.
Could you tell how to do that, We are not talking about reminder or approval workflow, it is just a notification e-mail that all the parties get for having filled in the complaint form.
A video would really be helpful.
Regards,
Team HCO.iN

Peter

Your help will be appreciated. Thank you
+Taha Tajamul Hi, We would be happy to offer support, please contact us at support@kalmstrom.com
Good vídeo, can you open link in new tab o window?
As far as I know there is no way to do that on wiki-links, but you can certainly do it by inserting a regular link from the Insert Tab.
I hope to soon create a video about that: "X different ways to insert links in SharePoint 2013".
good
thank you
You are welcome, Ahmed!
