Well, I would concur with her Mom. There is definitely a light in her. A role model for us all.
Gabby for head of the Dept. of Health and Human Services, 2024. The more I get to hear her speak instead of just running... I'm absolutely more proud that we have such amazing Americans here. She's hard to argue against on literally ANY points she makes.

Gabby is the complete package and an incredible ambassador for track and field. Those of us who follow the sport have known her and appreciated her for years, but it is truly amazing for the rest of America and the world to find out who she is. She is one of one.
Gabby is such an inspiration. She is a prime example of living your life to its full potential. It motivates me to work harder because I can honestly say I'm not doing everything I can right now to reach my goals. Watching and listening to Gabby inspires me to work harder.

What a conscientious person. Also I still can’t get over that she won golds in 3 different distances 100, 200, and 400. That is super rare. 100 and 200 are all-out sprints, so you see people winning those together (e.g., Bolt) but the 400 is its own beast. Mad respect.
I didn't know her, and she's amazing. She reminded me the swimmer Léon Marchand who won 4 gold medals at the Paris Olympics, nobody else did that. These two, just like the french Teddy Riner in Judo, Simone Biles in gymnastic, Team USA in Basket-ball are true Heroes. 🇫🇷❤️🇺🇲

@@___beyondhorizon4664 Agreed, you may be right for the 400 m relay gold medal. But like you, just the highlights (Eurosports or ESPN). Too many sports at the same time. You're right, mad respect.
Yeah she won the 200m open (individual) then in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. When sprinters win 3 races it’s typically in 100, 200, and 4x100. People who run the 400 typically stick to that distance (like Femke or Sydney, they do 400 hurdles and the 4x400). The training is different for that distance, so its really impressive she was in all 3. Granted two were in relays, but you still need to be among the 4 fastest runners on your team in that distance to be chosen, and to win, let alone set a national record, each of those 4 have to be great.
Bolt didn’t run 400 meter relay . But he won 100,200 and 100 meter relay .
"I'm just so glad to be back in the United States...", "When I was in school studying neurobiology..." and THREE count them THREE GOLD MEDALS! Freaking Woot! I vote for her for president!

Yes you are absolutely right amazing is the only way to describe the whole team. But watching her I was like a kid again. Cheering jumping up and down and I'm 79 . Needless to say I was excited. Thanks ladies I'm very grateful I got to see this year's Olympics it was great.😁😁😁😁

I'm pretty sure I'll get some hate for saying this but I wish this interview would reach thousands, if not millions of young women. She has a potential to be a, if not already, generational role model.
My take is a bit personal upon seeing/knowing a few young girls in my life who chose to quit school and succumb to social media pressure.
Put this interview and her life story on reels/tiktoks/memes - whatever. Young people need someone like her, whether they're athletic or not.
I'm so beyond impressed. She deserves everything. I hope she keeps or expands the charity work she's doing outside of her stellar athlete career.
