Unbelievable... Dawson came out as the bigger man in a scene where everyone should be acknowledging how petty they are lol
Now Pacey is thinking Dawson is happy about delivering the news, Joey thinks Pacey's problem is smaller than herself in the whole scenario and Dawson feels like an idiot for not knowing how to blindly hate those two and get away from them. Everyone is needlessly miserable.

dawson did not come out as petty pacey teacher dawson dad told him he should talk to joey about it, even pacey realize dawson was just trying to help.
pacey as alwasy blame everyone else for his problems.
one thing that never made sense was how Joey didn't suspect Pacey was in trouble. she knew he was never a good student, and on top of that he kept coming up with elaborate ways to show her how much he liked her and cared
shouldn't she have thought "if he's spending all this time on walls , boats, rides, and other grand romantic gestures - how does he have any time for school?"
not saying it's her fault, but the grand romance had a price to pay, and it was school. it was also kind of a cop out that Pacey ended up graduating on time. even when he did "buckle down" and study - he still kept doing stuff for Joey and getting distracted. He should've failed and repeated senior year or got his GED - that would've been believable.
i think you over saying his romantic gesture, i means season 4 he lost his boat, did not do any rides no romanitc gestrues.
He was a good student, when he was with Andy, who cared of him. Joey cared of herself only.
Well he lost his boat, so no more romantic boat rides, and Joey helped him out his senior year. He also just barely passed. Towards the end of season 4, it basically came down to a couple of crucial exams.
I loved this show back in the day, and love that a whole new generation are being introduced to it via Netflix and RUclips!
Only without the cool soundtrack…

If you're wondering how Joey made Pacey feel unsafe and insecure, was being cruel to him, watch this scene.
This is when the series started becoming unwatchable. It only cared about Pacey and Joey fans. It even made Andie redundant and she was eventually written off the show. Dawson, Jen and Jack all had meaningless relationships that didn't lead to anything. It was a very bad direction for the show to go in.
I disagree, yes S4 was PJ but season 5 literally erased their relationship, mentioned it like once and was full speed ahead Dawson and Joey train

If I was Dawson I would have beat the boots off Pacey first time he sniff around my girlfriend. Hated that show normalizing and romanticizing cheating.
Pacey and Joey fans just don't get it. They think that taking away Dawson's soulmate isn't wrong. It is because of such fans that the show had a pathetic ending. They even normalized that just because two people are romantic soulmates, they don't have to end up together. They turned soulmates into a joke.
Joey and Dawson broke up at the end of season 2 and dated different people in season 3 before anything happened between Pacey and Joey. There was no cheating involved with them. By the time Pacey and Joey started dating it was months since anything romantic was going on with Dawson and Joey.
@@TheGuyNobodyReallyLikes the show said that Jen and Jack were soul mates and he's gay. Dawson and Joey were soul mates who tried over and over to make a relationship work but it never did. In my opinion even if Joey didn't end up with Pacey it wouldn't of been Dawson. Because she had years to try with him when Pacey wasn't a factor and they still couldn't make it work. Dawson and Joey are like a lot of couples who no matter how much they love each other doesn't mean they are meant to be.

@@TheGuyNobodyReallyLikes i understand that they are romantic soul mates but they still never would of work out even if Pacey wasn't in the picture. Pacey and Joey have a very flawed and messed up relationship but they fight to make it work and be together. But Dawson and Joey can't say the same. Even back in season 1&2 long before Pacey became an option Dawson and Joey ran from each other. Always saying what the other wants to hear instead of the truth. I use to ship Dawson and Joey until i got tired of the always needing space and time apart. When you check up all the time Dawson and Joey spent together as a couple it barley makes 5 months in six seasons.as much as i love will they won't they couples it's no fun if they hardly ever date.
Loser Pacey was insufferable. That’s where I stopped liking his character.
Pacey was a born loser. But with Andie, he was becoming someone good. With Joey, he went back to being a loser - only also losing his friendship with Dawson.

For anyone who grew up in a dysfunctional family constantly downcasting you, Pacey is a relatable character and the fact that he found his own path and excelled in life, made him an awesome character.
