We met Bob last July in Lake Powell at Rainbow Bridge. The mid-lake marine (Dangling Rope) was closed and so there were very few boats at that time that braved the long journey to Rainbow Bridge. It was just our boat and his customers of 2-3 skis at Rainbow Bridge. When we got back on the water and into the main channel, Bob was gracious enough to lead us into a really cool slot canyon and left it to our crew to enjoy on our own while he went and explored other parts of the lake with his customers. He didn't have to do that. Super nice guy and one day I would love to do one of these trips with Up Lake Adventures.
Such a beautiful otherworldly place. It was like you had the whole lake to yourselves. Bob is a great outfitter. All contingencies covered The naturally sculpted stone is magnificent. Love your videos. Stay welll Wonderhussy.
Bob seems to be a gentleman that Really enjoys entertaining others... Great Video felt like I was riding shotgun... Thanks 😻 Wonderhussy & Bob for another GREAT ADVENTURE!
@@traceytrotter9934 Bob set up the second bed. It was in there when the was cookin" up "Lake Powel Lasagna". Speakin' of which...I hope Sarah Jane got the recipe.
The WH knocks it out of the park with this Lake Powell Adventure !! Actually, last month, the Flaming Gorge Reservoir 'up stream' on the Utah/Wyoming border released a half million acre-feet of water for the droughted Lake Powell reservoir and recreation area. And thanks for the warning on the screaming, I turned off my volume to save my sanity....yikes !! Very scenic area, nicely shot footage, enjoyed it and take care.
Hussy in your very old age you will be so fulfilled and satisfied that you were able to have all your exciting adventures and sharing them with the world, My hats off to you sister, Thanks for sharing!
The days and years I have spent at Lake Powell are unforgettable ... there is no better place in the USA to be naked, in the sun and in the water... magical and peaceful. 👍🙂
Without knowing how much Bob charges for his adventures, that was a well planned and comprehensive adventure. Bob should see an increase in his business. Again a first class effort, from our favorite adventurer!
I grew up in Steamboat Springs CO, and for many years, every spring, we would trek down to Lake Powell, and put in at Hite Marina. Some of the best memories of my life, pitching a tent in some amazing places, fishing, exploring, boating. Bob was smart to get back up in one of those fingers in that storm. We got caught in a storm once out in the middle of the lake, and it was like being in the ocean. We made it to shore by sheer will.
I got caught in a storm in Lake Tahoe. Same thing Lake Tahoe behave like a ocean in a storm with large swells. We were just two couples in a boat trying to make it back from Emerald Bay to camp Richardson. The wives covered up the kids with towels and held them tight. I bounced up to the driver on the boat my friend, and did my best to route him on. And he made it to the dock, never forget that.
Bob's a pretty cool dude. He sure took great care of our beloved Hussy. Thanks for getting it all on film to share with the rest of us, Darlin'. I don't know if I'd ever jump on a Sea Doo and wander up through there or not. If I did, lotsa folk might not hear much from me, 'cause I might decide to just stay around there. Oh...and you were right, Sarah Jane. Even though I turned the volume down, Your scream curdled my coffee😂. Much love, Babe!
What a fantastic Epic adventure! Looks like so much fun. Very informative too. I'm going to plan my first vacation in decades. Also reassuring to know that there's some water left.
My wife and I and the kids have been to Lake Powell four different times in the last 40 plus years. Always a great trip and the most relaxing times ever. We always go up lake to get away from the party people. The night skies are spectacular.
If memory serves, a JetSki is designed with a swiveling handle that allows the rider to stand up and steer (hence the "ski" part of the name). What you were using is more of a Wave Runner design, with a stationary handle. It's much more stable and comfortable to pilot.
I'm over the moon with Sarah Jane and Dan exploring those back hills sand dunes in that side by side was so adventurous and all those views, everyone all you viewers no this is really good Americana
Can’t believe the host of 70’s on 7 on SiriusXM is enamored with the Wonder Hussey! Sarah your channel is getting blasted to the satellite network! Congrats!
Lake Powell my favorite lake . Renting a houseboat for a 1 week adventure is the most enjoyable time in my life. Sleeping on top of the houseboat with the stars seeming within reach. Just wow !!
I grew up in Flagstaff and we were always at lake Powell. My father kept his sail boat there. Great adventures!! Nice video WH! Brings back great memories Thank you!
Fantastic Wonderhussy! Bob at UpLake Adventures really provided you with a First Class Lake Powell Adventure! And on a land trip too at the end!! Man-O-Man! I mentioned to you before, both my parents were commercial pilots with a private plane “Piper/Cessna” dealership in Carlsbad/San Diego. Growing up, our family flew just about everywhere we went. Our family has enjoyed Lake Powell Vacations on the Water & Red Rock since the 1960’s! Landing at Paige, AZ & boarding our House Boats & watercraft at Wahweep. We always venture way out to explore different far reaches of the Lake. And like you did with Bob, we always catch our fill of small mouth bass to grill. And Like everyone else, we never tire adventuring there.
That Sea Doo is very much like how an ADV motorcycle is set up. You have a tank bag on the gas tank, panniers and then a dry bag on a rear fender rack. Sometimes also a bag over the front headlight for tools.
That was amazing thank you wonderhussy I would never get to see Glen Canyon Dam or any of lake powell from that perspective it was a wonderful thank you🙂👍
After getting over my jealousy and pee hole envy , I came to my senses and really enjoyed WH good times . I appreciate this one . Thanks W H .Let the good times roll and roll and roll .
Proof that you’re just as at home on water as desert land… not to mention hot springs.😉 sometimes it’s nice to float and cruise down the lazy river without a care in the world for a change of pace for you. One amusing thought coming out of nowhere is if you were on a sailboat you’d have no fear of climbing up a bosun’s chair to the top of the mast. At least for this vid, I can just say have fun out there! Screams included.🙂
Thank you for using acre-feet instead of some other silly small unit. Sea-Dos are fun fun fun. Wonder Hus and Itchy Boots both used a girl card on their videos this week. See, guys are not all that bad. I have found about only 1 percent of the boaters go the full length of the lake.
I can tell by the smile on your face that you had a great time glad to see it this was a great video thank you for another great video the old retired guy just love these videos👍👨🏻🦳👍
Thanks Bob, for the Planet of the Apes reference (with the great Charlton Heston) Sarah appeared to be having so much fun in this adventure and she deserves it because she shares her fun with her fans…and the dinner looked really interesting, lasagna in one pot… gotta try it… don’t think many of us will ever venture to Lake Mead-Powell, thanks for bringing us along…
Holy crap Bob, if you're reading her comments, THIS video will keep you in business for quite many years to come!! I'm not even much of an "outdoors man" but that looks like its a BLAST!!! What an awesome business!!!
Wow! That looks like a really cool adventure! Bob seems like a great outfitter, and I’ll definitely look up his business for a future water experience. I think you hit a whole new level of travel video with this one. The Lonely Planet travel hosts are quaking in their Crocks 😂
One day she is going to ride on a PWC on Lake Tahoe. Yeah way up there! Maybe one of us can make that happen. It sure looks like fun Sarah. Dan was a great host.
I have been out of Bull Frog Marina on the north end of the lake twice on 10 day house boat adventures on friends boat. As you and others have mentioned, it's otherworldly especially for this Gulf Coast native. Towing small boats and or jetski's is the way to go but you have to be very self reliant for a big trip and good planning is required. Bob is surely the way to go for first timers or those with less time. Thank's for sharing Sara!
Spent about 2 weeks in Utah last May, one day we rented a boat spent the day on the lake, rode up to Rainbow Bridge. Very unique and natural beauty for sure. Enjoy the road and stay safe.
Just got back from Lake Powell with my kids and rented 3 powerful Sea Doos from AZ Power Toys ( who were awesome and can’t say enough great things about them) but the trip was so beautiful with the water super clear and aqua. Didn’t go as far as you but for those who’ve never been, they can’t imagine at how amazing it truly is
