The sound of Seether grabbed me by the throat when I was 19. It’s never let go. In a world full and rich with good heavy bands, something about Seether is magic and timeless.
Seether are one of the most underrated bands. I’ve been listening since they were called Saron Gas in South Africa, around 1999. When they moved to the states they had to change the name cuz it was too close to sarin gas that the Nazis used. So they became Seether. I was living in the states then, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen them over the 22 years I lived there. It’s over 20, the band even recognise me & wave or throw me bottles of water. Most people know them from the song broken featuring Amy Lee. Unfortunately Shaun (lead singer) has an addiction problem & has spent a lot of time in rehab over the years. He allegedly lost his relationship with Amy Lee because of it. The song Call Me When You’re Sober by Evanescence was written about him by Amy Lee(lead singer). Seether has an extensive catalogue of songs & I’ve never heard one I don’t like. I’m 57 now & back in Wales, but they never took flight over here, so they don’t play them on the radio. I have been to 2 concerts here, but the crowds are tiny compared to their American tours. Can you tell I’m a bit of a fan lol. Great reaction as always. Take care 😊 xx
My favorite band ever. Their sound is so varied and unique. They also don't take themselves too seriously. And "Poison the Parrish" happens to be my favorite album, if there is such a thing! To see their true comedy, see "Same Damn life" off of Isolate and Medicate.
"That's quite the 180" listen ti the lyrics- he talks about how toxic the relationship feels and so he feels like he needs to put on the face... Up until the "180" where he says f* you
This video is the perfect representation of how I feel right now about work. You are in a situation where you have to act nice about management; when, inwardly, you could just full beast-mode!!
Let the pain flow!! This is therapy people!!! Too many times we are charmed into a lie and believe what we are hearing; instead of the true reality that we know exists!! Don’t go through life your blinders on and change your direction of life!!!!
