It may be common sense for the veteran, but us novelists need to learn all the small details and tricks of the trade. If there’s avoidable errors, let avoid them.
Air in the hose.. ? doesn't make sense really, when you shut the hose off more air gets into the hose again.. time wasted in my opinion. Could you explain this step?
Yeah just throw out the washer and replace with a wrench . Sorry that was bad advice but the pressure washer is great. I just purchased mine with the 20 inch deck cleaner and Its great on driveways and decks. Just watch your neighbors wanting to borrow something you just spent over a grand for. But beware this thing will knock you down the first use if you have never had a pressure washer with this kind of power.
I just ordered the Simpson PS60919 it’s rated at 4400-PSI and 4 GPM. I wanted to get the ALH4020 but it was not available. The PS60919 it’s rated at 9HP and the ALH4020 it’s rated at 13 HP. Can someone explain why the difference in HP when they both have the same Honda GX390?

exactly. you do NOT need to tighten with a wrench.

Any pressure washer pump with out a gear drive or belt drive is a waste of time and money. It will fail in short order.
