What an amazing collection. Worthy of a SAK museum. The stag and ivory knives are particularly attractive. I recently came across a blancpain bergeon complete with wood box and eyeloop in perfect condition at a thrift store of all places. It is now the king of my very modest collection.
Thank you for showing your collection. Great presentation and video. Love the music get the impression that you’re in Spain like me. I notice you don’t have any Safari 108mm. They’re one of my favourite models. I only need two to complete. I’m also lucky to have the complete Damascus collection but I keep them in their boxes and in a vitrine. Congratulations sir.
Thank you very much for your comment. 👍🏻 I also love the Safari 108 model and I have 3 of them. Check the 4:01 minute of the video ☺️ This video is already a couple of years old and I slowly kept acquiring some new limited models. The Damascus collection is definitely my favorite ones and this year’s 2023 is really beautiful with the white scales. PD: I’ve lived in beautiful Spain for almost 5 years between 2007 and 2012, and there I was introduced to Paco de Lucia. Su música es parte de mi ahora. 😎
Thank you! I suggest you start reading www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php and other forums to see what SAKs you would like to own. Then, start looking for them on eBay 😉.
Hi and thank you for your comments. This box is a Spartan Commemorative edition from 2010. I got it as a gift from a friend. I think you could find one on eBay if you look for it. Cheers.
Wow nice collection i only have a small few but i have the swiss flame and broken ofc lol wish they would make that again i can see why theyvstopped tho haha ,i literally just sent it to victorinox hoping they will repair it and will baby it if they do haha
Thank you for four comment. 👍🏻 Victorinox stopped producing the SwissFlame model exactly due to the reason you mentioned: they break and stop working very easily 😅 A great idea to have a lighter, but they never managed to make it work properly. PD: mine doesn’t work either 😂
@@Zed1987X : Hi. It took me about 12 years of intensive studying, searching and collecting. But to be fair I started as a young kid back in my boy scout days. Never lost one, although I have beaten some of them from intensive use. However, 99% are unused. They’re just for collecting.
I'm not an expert on pricing SAKs, but I bet you can get a least $500 USD for it. Probably more if you sell it to someone starting to collect SAKs. The 2014 Spartan Damascus was limited to 5000 units and this makes it rare. Not super rare, but still very collectable. And if you're not in a hurry to sell it, I think it is likely that its value increases during the next years.
Truly... everyday and everywhere carry is a Minichamp. :) But every time I leave the city, I take a Master Craftsman in my front pocket and a Hunter Pro Alox clipped to my belt.
Most of the SAK with staghorns scales I own (the ones you can find at 01:23 as well as at 03:47 and 03:57) were handmade by a German craftsman I met on eBay almost a decade ago. Apparently he lives up north in Germany and legally hunts stags and dears for food pre-winter, so he uses the horns to craft SAK scales. Very cool. Initially I both some units he already had, but after a few purchases he agreed to make some specific scales for me, like the one in 03:47. Even cooler! However, the Spartan with the white Ivory scales at 01:25 I purchased from a Portuguese guy, also through eBay. He told me he crafted it himself but I do not know the details regarding how he managed to obtain a piece of real elephant Ivory (which is supposedly illegal as far as I know). And that’s that! :)

I have ten and two of them you don’t have
Wenger Everest
and a gold plated small wenger

I donate my two gold plated wenger
I will keep the wenger everest in order to use it
I’ll keep the spirit in my car
a Spartan in my pocket
a manager on my keychain
and a handyman and a Hercules and locksmith
I don’t like allox not so useful
compared to the ones with normal scales
Now I am in the mood to give as many as I can
In order to keep only what I need
is enough with this kind of totemism lol
Combo ,starting with a manager
on my keychain always
Is better for me to keep as less
as you can and use them
as much as it is possible
I first got a huntsman
and I start making reed traditional Cretan flutes
with it this was joyful use
I stop to enjoy this
when I got ( addicted )
In collecting them
so because I can’t do both
and I don’t like having things that I don’t really use
I ll go with less no matter how wonderful these objects are
Lol
Bulgarian 130mm ranger wenger
The big one with the file
this rare I like 👍🏼
