Since you've made these lists, I'd love to see a series based on fixing bad pokemon. What you would do to make the ones on the worst lists be usable be it a regional variant or stat buffs etc.
ngl if it was steel it would be a toss-up between Wormadam-Trash and Bastiodon. One has an amazing typing, has a useful ability overcoat (for the annoying powders and sandstorm), and can use theif but has mediocre defenses at best. While the other has a quad weakness to 2 types but has roar + sturdy and great defenses. They both get stealth rocks.

I feel like Stonjourner might have been been better if they drained the Sp. Atk and Speed to the minimum of 5 to boost the Sp. Def. Let's face it, being immovable on one side is pretty much worthless if you're not at least solid on the other and those points are being wasted in those stats. It probably still wouldn't be great, but it might actually have a chance.
If they’d have done that, Stonjourner would’ve been at 100 Special def, which is an AMAZING bulk overall, and it would still hit super hard on the physical side. Stonjourner would definitely be a threat in a trick room team for sure.
Corsola, Relicanth, and Carracosta are Resistance Dual Types. They do Possess Strong Counter Moves To Survive in Battle as well as - Corsola Gains HP when it Switches it out. - Carracosta's Solid Rock Ability Reduces it's Double Weakness's to Grass type down to 3X - Relicanth Has Terrible Special Attack but it's sturdy
Magcargo should not have been on this list. It can learn Shell Smash by level up and most of the time, if you're a competent trainer, weaknesses don't matter.

Low Special Defense is definitely a common attribute to Rock-types. Some may have that high, like 3 of these guys (Probopass, Bastiodon, and Carbink), but others are definitely lame at the Special stat side. The Sp. Atk is nothing to write home about, either.
Why isn’t aurorus here? And sudowoodo can learn wood hammer which means it can beat 2 of its weakness water and ground. It Can learn hammer arm which is useful against steel types . And fighting types it can mimic and counter easily. And if u survive with one HP , use flail. That move can power up to 200. As for grass type, teach it 🔥 🥊.

Aurorus has Snow Warning and access to Aurora Veil. That along with it’s great bulk, it can help to set up Stealth Rock and do good damage with Blizzard.
The fact that Rampardos isn’t even on this list but Bastiodon is the 3rd worst Rock type is honestly baffling. Rampardos has a sky high Atk stat, but that’s it. It has garbage Spd, and due to it’s terrible defensive typing of pure Rock making it weak to common priority moves like Mach Punch, Aqua Jet and Bullet Punch, has terrible bulk that makes it die to basically any slightly strong attack. Atleast Bastiodon can take a couple hits and set up Stealth Rocks or Toxic a Pokemon but Rampardos dies as soon as it gets on the field.
I don't think the moves from SWSH to BDSP will carry over and the moves as in the OG most likely stay the same, at least for the mons that weren't in SWSH.
Knowing how much the slow fire/rock types like macargo are(though slightly better with coalossal) makes me worried about legends arceus’s growlithe/arcanine… (special mentions to onix, it’s a shame its speed is higher than its attack which is base 45, that’s an insult when Rattata has higher attack AND speed than onix)
Because Shuckle has another hazard in sticky web, more support options such as encore and infestation and also a better defensive typing making it overall a far better hazard setter

I need to give Relicanth credit where credit is due, last night I was playing Dynamax adventures and finally ran into the legendary I was looking for, Palkia. A teammate's relicanth with scale shot is the only reason I was able to finally catch my favorite legendary in Sword. The game teased me, since the DLC came out I have been able to find and catch every Legendary they had (even got a shiny lele) but not my favorite, Palkia until last night. Took 3 tries and I did not think our team would make it, but Relicanth was MVP. Thank you old fish.
Strong Pure Types Regirock and Gigalith are Terrible. Weakest *Pure* Types : Rampardos as The Only Good Rock Type then Midday Lycanroc, Midnight Lycanroc, Dusk Lycanroc, and Lastly Stonjourner
Actually Lycanroc is good, imo, Dusk and Midday are the better Forms, Lycanroc Midnight is good, but it's slower and a Ok Defense, but sometimes Lycanroc Midnight cannot take Attacks Well, Midday and Dusk are fast and Hits hard, Especially the Dusk form, it has Tough Claws, imagine a Thrash Tough Claw Dusk Lycanroc.
But I prefer the Midday form, Firstly Design, Midday has a Real Wolf Appearance, Midnight has a Werewolf Appearance, it's ok, Dusk also looks good, but it has a Spike on it's head. Secondary, their Cries, Midnight has a Wolf Howl, which is cool, Dusk doesn't make any Physical Sense, but Midday has a better and a Real Wolf Growl as it's cry, which I love, also (In Gen 8), if Lycanroc Midday knows Close Combat, it will demolish Midnight and Dusk because Midday is the fastest Lycanroc, so it can Outspeed Dusk and Midnight and just Delete Midnight and Dusk.
Not sure if you knew but Magcargo does have access to Shell Smash in later games so I don’t think it should be number 1, save that for Corsola lol. And Sudowoodo ain’t that bad either minus the speed.
Magcargo will always have a special place for me i used magcargo to will all the contast ribbons in evey category in Emerald so it will always be a great pokemon in my eyes
I remember getting a card of bastiodon as a kid and wanting it. I played diamond tho so for years I never got one. When I finally got it when I got myself platinum....hoooooo boyyyy it isn’t just bad competitively, it’s downright unusable in a play through too. Never been so let down.
Lunatone with White herb Meteor beam would probably put more work in, in one turn while still setting up a stat than Solrock could do. Solrock would have to choose between swords dance and attacking and either way Lunatone would have done more damage to a pokemon in those two turns than solrock will.

Actually Lycanroc is good, imo, Dusk and Midday are the better Forms, Lycanroc Midnight is good, but it's slower and a Ok Defense, but sometimes Lycanroc Midnight cannot take Attacks Well, Midday and Dusk are fast and Hits hard, Especially the Dusk form, it has Tough Claws, imagine a Thrash Tough Claw Dusk Lycanroc.
Dusk's not that bad
But I prefer the Midday form, Firstly Design, Midday has a Real Wolf Appearance, Midnight has a Werewolf Appearance, it's ok, Dusk also looks good, but it has a Spike on it's head.
Secondary, their Cries, Midnight has a Wolf Howl, which is cool, Dusk doesn't make any Physical Sense, but Midday has a better and a Real Wolf Growl as it's cry, which I love, also (In Gen 8), if Lycanroc Midday knows Close Combat, it will demolish Midnight and Dusk because Midday is the fastest Lycanroc, so it can Outspeed Dusk and Midnight and just Delete Midnight and Dusk.
I'm confident Mudsdale Tectonic Rage Can Have All Forms all Lycanroc Run with their tails between their legs

Not sure if you knew but Magcargo does have access to Shell Smash in later games so I don’t think it should be number 1, save that for Corsola lol. And Sudowoodo ain’t that bad either minus the speed.
Magcargo will always have a special place for me i used magcargo to will all the contast ribbons in evey category in Emerald so it will always be a great pokemon in my eyes

I remember getting a card of bastiodon as a kid and wanting it. I played diamond tho so for years I never got one. When I finally got it when I got myself platinum....hoooooo boyyyy it isn’t just bad competitively, it’s downright unusable in a play through too. Never been so let down.

Lunatone with White herb Meteor beam would probably put more work in, in one turn while still setting up a stat than Solrock could do. Solrock would have to choose between swords dance and attacking and either way Lunatone would have done more damage to a pokemon in those two turns than solrock will.
