That’s the one I was waiting on because I’ve been thinking about the move to NC. But try Minnesota 😊 it’s really not that bad.This past winter there was barely any snow. I left Frisco Texas, too expensive, try Austin, you said Houston, it’s too hot and water signs we don’t like to be hot 😁 I need four seasons.
I left New York years ago! I’m trying to find my way as well. I didn’t like Miami too much. I really want to move to country where it’s peaceful and quiet. I don’t care for an external social life because I like being home and cooking in my clean home as a Cancer should 😁
I don’t like hardwood floors, I love carpet, just vacuuming, that’s it! I don’t want to sweep or mop every room. And I don’t like the way wood feels and dust accumulation…, I need something soft on my feet. Marble is ok in the man areas but I need a rug or something. 😂but it’s a no on a hard wood floors or faux hardwood floors. Hope you find your place!
Almost 6k a month is a mortgage payment on a million dollar home. Incredible that is some peoples rent payment. Wow.

Stay encouraged when you come across the right home for you, you will know it in your heart. Try not to be too much pressure on yourself I understand that you want to save money and be settled in your new place but everything will fall into place at the right time in moment and at least you’re not without an apartment or homeless. I love the stories you share. Don’t be fooled by “no additional amenities fees”, no matter the city.
Even if somewhat true today, you can bet it won’t stay that way for long. Granted, the amenities are impressive, and they cost big bucks to maintain.
5-6 thousand dollars is insane but apartment searching myself your videos are very inspiring and informative. So get whatever place and city that calls to you.
As someone who's been in Tampa for a yr coming from DC then Raleigh, NC, Tampa is the place to be. The city is growing and developing big time. The next 3-5yrs are going to be crazy. And to be in a location where you have a good balance of new money and old money and are only a hop, skip, and a jump to Orlando, Miami, Naples, and many amazing beaches, Its definitely the place to be.

Tampa, Fl is beautiful. As far as hurricane season, it's from Jun-Nov. However, throughout Florida, in general, it is tropical state with sunshine weather 🌞. The rain is unpredictable in Florida 😅😂😂.
I agree strongly with full hardwood, laminate or tiles vs carpet throughout. After a year the a lot of cleaning to maintain the carpets ✨️

Dallas is it for me. I left Atlanta for TX. More for your money. You're I like Houston just not the weather. Dallas and Austin is nice. I actually love San Antonio as well. But Dallas and Austin are my fav.

I’ve been to and frequented all the cities you have visited. By far Tampa was the best. Great people, international mall, and great weather. Close to St. Petersburg, Orlando and Miami. It’s nothing to see a bunch of celebrities in the area and at the restaurants and mall. The apartment with the spa like amenities was sick. I think you’ll love it there!

I been to Tampa for a 2 week vacation/possible move.... Thunderstorms the whole time. City is cool but the weather turned me off.

For 5k you mine as well go to Miami/Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale. Paying that in Tampa is foolish.

I am from MI, live in the Tampa area, and cannot wait to move out of here. The weather the last three years is hotter than it's ever been. There are so many new people, and no one talks to each other (unlike what we are used to in MI). If the beach is not your thing every day, there are limited activities. 2017 my kid graduated, moved out of state & has stated she will never move back to FL.

Now I definitely did like Tampa when I lived there way better than I did Houston for sure. If I had a wife there I wouldn't have EVER came back home because Tampa was my spot but the job opportunities is probably the only downside. But if you're in the right area the opportunities could be there.

I see the first apartment is downtown and they do have some nice ones... but also check the area called "midtown Tampa" it has alot to offer for your buck with nice restaurants and a whole foods...uhhh🤔 and check out the apartments at "armature works... Tampa is growing fast and luxury living is being built EVERYWHERE!!!... looking forward to your thoughts of the Tampa area...yes I live there

I live in Tampa going on 4 years it’s the best very affordable beautiful beaches and the rainy season is only during the summer also the rain doesn’t last long lol people are very friendly also. I feel it’s a great place to raise kids compared to Miami etc
Former Detroiter here ! We live in Missouri City , TX just outside of Houston . We love it here . Dallas offers more space. Check out the Victory Park area . Close to Arlington to catch the Cowboys ..and a short drive to Houston to catch the Rockets .

I toured a few a couple of months ago. Galleria area, post oaks, uptown and midtown are nice area’s in my opinion. Happy apartment searching💫

Nice but not worth the money. I’m a metro Detroit native and moved to Orlando. It takes awhile to adjust to the heat, humidity, hurricanes and huge bugs. The winter is nice though lol.

I've moved from Ft.lauderdale to Tampa 24 yrs ago. Its truly sad 2018 that area use to be affordable housing from 22nd ave all the way around channelside. A little paint, upgrade tile, high end amenities slap a 4000k-5000k folks are willing to pay . Tampa has truly become oversaturated and truly overrated. My husband and i are placing our Valrico home on the market hoping for a quick sale. Snowbirds and northerns yall can have Fl😢
TEXAS is waiting on you; particularly the Dallas or one of the suburbs of Dallas!🥰

Sorry Tampa did not work out for you. Before you give up on Florida, you have to try our Orlando. If you are trying to escape winter, you may think twice about Dallas.
Why is it so dark in certain rooms?? Maybe you can see better than what we can but just be cautious because if they're showing a property it should be lite up bright😊

There are more beautiful communities for way less in Tampa.
Go to a building called ,”The Element,” Rocky Point in Tampa) and ask to see a penthouse. It’s gorgeous! An apartment building with a condo feel. The oven is in the wall.
*Novel Beach Park*, ( it’s an apartment community) beautiful near Ocean Prime restaurant(Ocean views) and the malls. On the other side is the Tampa culture, foods, etc.,, yet this building is hidden from it all but in walking distance to, it all.
Condo buildings in Channelside, Hyde Park has 3 story condos for rent in the area with garages for about 4k.
You could just rent a mini mansion with a pool for those prices but you may want to be around more people.
Lutz, FL is not far from Tampa to rent a house as well.
My hubby is 6'3" and the only tub that can hold him is a big old claw foot tub.lol
