I mean, 300 pages of trains falling off their tracks, romance subplots that went nowhere and 17 scenes in a therapists office of trying to unravel the trauma that the trains falling off the tracks and romantic misadventures caused my main character...?? So glad I can go on writing more pages knowing that he was just lying trying to get me to try and "improve" my story by watching his "thoroughly thought out and helpful videos" were all because he wanted my soul.

This is a brilliant example of a plot twist done well, as not only is it surprising and hinted at several times before in the script, but it also challenges the philosophical views. If Tyler can scam, who CAN we trust?

One of my college courses was on how to write covers. It was excellent. My sneaky professor put one of his screenplays in and absolutely loved what was said. It’s great to get multiple opinions, some may even be helpful. We can get very attached to our own work and not see the flaws. It was honestly the best part of my degree program.
This is a good effort at mocking people with valid points. Labeling them as "haters" and invalidating them so that subscribers just ignore them. Thats the whole point of this video

Good point. I called T.M ' the wonder boy'prior to realizing he hasn't sold a manuscript. I'm not knocking him for this but a disclaimer would make him more transparent. Theres a conflict of interest of sorts as he is selling something- his online writing course...of course. I'm doubtful the writer of the Jack reacher series can even deliver the goods... Those that do, do,. Those that don't teach.Successfulky or not. . So much is luck and timing, less craft.

Teaching and producing are two different skills. A lot of people are under the impression that somone who makes, say movies, can teach how to make movies. sometimes thats true and sometimes not. I don't mind learning from someone who hasn't produced a lot of what he is teaching because you can learn the concepts stay the same
Well, to be fair, with the rebranding, the channel does look kinda like a grift. Especially with the website and how heavily it leans on pages and pages of testimonials. Going through it reminded me of the Dan Olson video on the Mikkelsen twins, if you've seen that.
Way to address people's concerns about giving money to someone who has never sold a screen play to... sell their screenplay. For those wondering, this trope is called lampshading.
Interestingly enough, the multiple marketing videos in a row that soured enough of us to make this video necessary have now been taken down. Maybe it's a step in the right direction.
The best film ever. No country for old men doesent follow any of these rules. I always skip the scenes of the old man. He is like the title says, completly useless. The story of Lewlyn and Antoin dosent follow any story science bs. Hero dies. No character arc. No philosophical arguments
