Yes. Priests and bishops fear that they’ll be cancelled, “retired” as has Bishop Enerituss Joseph Strickland of Tyler TX has, or even excommunicated as was Absp Vigano and Fr. Vaughn Traco just because they spoke Truth. “

When the church changed the mass I never left it but I did wander from pillar to post trying to find “home” again. Everywhere I went was novelty. In many parishes the church was old and beautiful but the mass never fit into the environment. Now I have the privilege of attending mass with 2 of my grandsons. Although it is a Novus ordo mass, it such an honor to accompany another generation of Catholics at Mass and I use it as an opportunity to teach them the importance of tradition. I pray that we shall all find our home together during Mass regardless of these differences as long as our prayers and practices are pleasing to God.

It seems so difficult for our FSSP Priests here in Sydney Australia to preach like I heard at boarding school 1948/52 . I mentioned to one re a good topic for a sermon one day and was told that couldn’t happen in the present Bishop’s area (in other words all hell would break out).

Let us hope that the “special pilgrimage”is not tainted with Carnivalesque clothes,or behavior in this most holy Basilica where there are the remains of Christ’s prime Apostle , St. Peter,a great martyr for his faith and that the participants are informed of the ways and the intrinsic meaning of obtaining forgiveness and Indulgence.

It seems like we desperately need less dialogue and much more debate about objective Truth and the rest will fall into place according to its relationship with The Truth.

I am poorly educated so see things very simply. Surely God loves and invites all - no matter our tendencies. Who knows how a gay or heterosexual person in an irregular situation is trying to live out their live? It seems judgemental to me when some are unhappy with the church becoming open to people who are struggling with their situations. Surely The Lord is for us all. Just because two people declare their love for each other does not mean they are sinning. Sorry if this seems rambling but I don’t know how to better express my thoughts. Thank you Robert and Father - I love your broadcasts.

We love the sinner but cannot condone the sin. No matter how sorry a person feels for others sin cannot be co dined and accepted. If we accept it as okay then we will be answerable on judgement day. Unfortunately in these modern times the media has encouraged sin as acceptable and those who are speaking Christ's truth are called names. It shows that Satan's game plan has made strides in our times of convincing the world that wrong is right and right is wrong. This totally disregards God's law and commandments, making man his own "God". Much the same as Lucifer - I will not serve. My way or no other way. Pray, fast and do penance.

If we truly love Christ we will abide by the Word of God. It’s not about what I want, it’s what God wants for me. If I am a wise person I will want what God wants for me.

The greatest love one can have for another is to help that person get to Heaven. Mortal sin blinds a person to the evil of sin. They need to be taught the truth which will lead them back to GOD. When anyone disobeys the commandments and / or supports others to disobey GOD’s Law, he/she is leading people away from GOD and into the hands of Satan. We have the gift of free Will to show GOD that we love Him freely, not by force. To condone immoral behavior is not love. It is leading others to Hell which lasts forever.

Yes Father Murr, I'm seeing the exact same loss of belief in the supernatural! I wonder if it's born in part by a combination of the effects of scientism and materialism, both of which place everything within the domain of the explainable and perceivable. As a result, a frightful hubris has overtaken the modern mind, where it unconsciously believes it actually bears the capacity to see all and thus know all.

In this case "Res non verba" (again in my humble opinion) means something apparently contradictory in the sense that appart from the words Pope Benedict pronounced, we don´t have almost anything left from the last true Pope to grab what is going on right now.

Dear father Murr, dear dr. Moynihan, in my humble opinion, none of what is happening is understandable if we don´t take into consideration what Pope Benedict purposefuly said and did over the Canon Law.

Different historical periods - of years, decades, centuries for society *just as much as* from day to day for the individual soul - call for different strategies.
You bring up the setzen leben as something to be suspicious of early in the podcast, only to espouse it later in the podcast when you bring up how, "well, the Apostles were Jews and Our Lord was jewish, so..."
Respectfully, "so..." nothing. Yes, that's their genetic lineage. From that fact a Catholic cannot, must not imagine that the truth that has been officially handed on before is any different than what must be handed on now and *as* it was handed on before ...or in the early years of the setzen leben or in the hayday of modernism or what modernism has proposed since.
RE: Frankel. Beware of Kant. What you *think* or *experience* a person or a thing or an experience to be needs to line up directly with what that person or thing or experience truly *is*. We cannot be kantians.
The very notion that the Church, having passed the truth from one generation to the next for two millennia, must now answer the specific diseased assertions of the World's philosophies and theologies is ludicrous. It hasn't gotten us anywhere in the past half century or more, it isn't getting us anywhere now, and it's throwing pearls before swine to attempt it. Give the World the truth, those who will accept it will accept it, those who will not will not, and we move on.
We ought to stop trying what has not worked. For *this* historical period, step back, retract, preserve. The World sees us, knows we are here. Those whom God calls out of the World - those who listen and act upon graces received - will seek the Church out. That's the best evangelization at this time, and not to run around wacking moles on the head like in an arcade game. Nobody respects an entity that doesn't respect itself or, in this case, herself - the Church. Nobody respects children who don't defend their Mother, either... or any of the overtures they make!

Tutti Fruitti. Italian for "all fruits".
Tutti, Tutti, Tutti.... All of Francis's favorite flavors, but not those who dare to promote the Divine Law of God.
