Ah shucks
Last summer it was drying up? Mother Earth is fine. Its us that's stupid.
That river is probably been flooding for thousands of years when you build in a floodplain you have to anticipate flooding it should not be a shock to anyone
If a stop sign is under water, do you still have to stop? Also, anybody else notice the farm at :30 had their sprinklers running?😂
I caught that, too.
We need to rebuild our crumbling energy and transportation infrastructure.
They should've prayed harder 🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽

You'd really think you wouldn't build a house or a town right next to one of the largest rivers on the continent that drains enormous area's and is prone to flooding......
Prayers for everyone going through this we in CA. Could be next. LORD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF US.

Haha! God. Such a silly concept. Seems like god don't care.

I bet you say that to all the boys.
They need to utilize this water instead waiting for it go down cause I don’t wanna hear “oh water level in rivers are extremely low.

And we just had a record breaking longest flood ever of the Mississippi in 2019. Good god.

If gawd has a perfect, eternal, universal, and yet personal plan, then any change would render it no longer perfect or eternal. So gawd isn't changing a plan which has been in effect for an eternity so you can avoid a bit of pain or suffering, much less a bit of inconvenience. So, no, gawd is NOT "answering any prayers", AKA granting your wishes, for you or anyone else, unless your wishes are perfectly aligned with the eternal plan. In which case, no changes were made for you or your prayers.
Yeah they are alway praying too after our endless masa shooting. See how well prays have worked. They pray instead of actually taking any form of action that could help. Brainwashed red states.
Why are you so triggered?

We prayed for water nationwide.
God answered.
It is up to mankind to be prepared for answers and store the water.
..and we didn't
How come this "god" character answers "prayers" that can be confused with just bad weather? Millions "pray" for a cure for cancer nationwide, and around the world but he doesn't answer those "prayers."
😂😂😂
Imagine the gall to think, if there is a God, that they would change the weather patterns just for us. 🤣
Its a weird entitlement complex, when a science book is only a google search away.
You'd think humans would be smart enough not to build in a flood plain.

Historic? Not really....
now you knopw how it feels to live in lancashire in england since boris johnson took away our flood defences as punishment for voting for labour. i live on a hill but the floods around my town and encircling our town was insane with very few roads out, and floods muliple times a year now. It’s weird, it’s almost like the climate is going through some sort of, I don’t know, like a change?
Maybe that's why Republicans aren't taking it very well.
We know they don't like anything to do with change. Or transition.

If the National Water Network was in place, the system would kick in and pump water from over 100 locations along the Mississippi River to dry regions far away from the river. A lot of the water would be pumped into the Ogallala Aquifer. As soon as things were stabilized, the system would shut down and the river would return to normal. They have worked on the concept for 10 years and sooner or later it will be deemed as a good idea. It only seems like a good idea when it is flooding and it does not flood that often. Sorry for the peoples losses.
I’m glad it’s not running dry
Isnt this kind of a repetitive thing? I remember seeing this in the news when i was a kid too. Then they keep rebuilding in flood prone areas.

Just last summer ☀️ the river was drying up. Today, it's flooded, rising waters. As ocean waters warm up, even a small amount, that's enough to pick up additional water as it did this winter. All those rain and snow events in CA came from the Pineapple 🍍 Express, Hawaii.
If there’s floods, it’s man made climate change. If there’s a drought, it’s man made climate change. Whatever happens it’s proof of man made climate change. If climate doesn’t change, is everything good? What climate is the right one? Todays? 100 years ago? 160 million years ago?
It's just being the Mississippi River. That's all.
Praise the Lord. Halleluja.
It never amazes me how every year or so it seems rivers flood because of snow melt and rain and it is news.
You live next to a big river you get higher levels of water during snow melt and rain.
Our little town placed flood walls in 50+ years ago and has never flooded our downtown since then (though it did get close a few yours ago)

Mississippi river flooding has been a problem for many years; the blues song "When the Levee Breaks" was written about massive flood in 1927.
Omg, is Brett Favre’s welfare money going to be ok though?
Isn't that dangerous for Maggie to be in that water?
Man, I hope the snow pack here in the west coast can really help fill the Colorado river
it will but that does not change the fact that they are on a path of unsustainability out there....
Me too
Have you noticed it take exceptional precipitation to even get the Colorado to a positive flow again?
It isn't drought causing that.
Not sure I would be standing in that water is that not south of where the Ohio meets the Mississippi?

The only story here is that people built homes and towns on land that is known to flood. Also known as the "Floodplain".
