After Mughals, The Maratha Empire controlled almost 2/3rd of India until 1780s, and they were allied with the French. Furthermore, the British were the ones who did the partition.

29:38 Also please understand that while many countries have there own issues that you shouldn't treat the country as if the issues is the whole of it's being. Alot of the people in India are fighting against the whole child slavory thing.
ELLORA TEMPLE was build in Single Giant Rock
Wow, it's always amazing when things like this are made.
Peacock is India's national bird
Great video! Enjoyed watching it with my wife, she's from Bangladesh. =)
Wow really? That's awesome!
millets are a sort of grain recently getting popular as they have more proteins and fibres and requires less water than wheat to grow they are really good with better texture than wheat flour sort of crunchy you should try ragi it is very healthy high in fiber good for gut
2023 was celebrated as International Year of millets. Its an umberella term for coarse cereals which are gluten free and can be harvested even in water scarce areas.
27:00 C'mon now take a coffee break mate 🤣, and by coffee break i mean go bring me my coffee, spanish prince 😆😂..
There is only one active volcano 🌋 in India in Andaman and Nicobar Islands
30:11 its a misunderstanding by people.
#Cricket is never the national sports, its just most people love watching cricket.
#Field_Hockey is considered #official national sport of india
I don't think I know what field hockey is either. I wonder why so many people think it's cricket?
Although cricket is huge here , it's not the most successful in Indian sports history , field hockey is , india literally dominated it by getting six consecutive gold medals Olympics , domination for nearly three decades then the astroturf was introduced or the synthetic mat and we weren't doing financially well back then so lost our spot gradually also inside politics also ruined it , and the vacuum is filled by cricket , football , kabaddi badminton etc
@@ReldrikGeofield hockey is the basic and oldest version of hockey. Its similar to the ice hockey in USA.
Instead of ice its played mostly on grass field like soccer.
@@ReldrikGeo#cricket is famous in india because of British. As they invented and played it, they promoted it in india so they can get players for #britishraj team.
As other sports didn't got as much support, most people followed cricket as it doesn't need much equipments to play as club.
You only need 2 bats, 1 ball, something to act as wicket and a medium size ground.
Beware of older anglicized place names & native Indian names that were reverted to after several decades of independence:
Bangalore->Bengaluru
Orissa->Odisha
Bombay->Mumbai
Calcutta->Kolkata
Vizag->Vishakhapatnam
Madras(!?)->Chennai
And many more. A lot of anglo names were in fact never even officially reverted..
Yeah I run into this a lot when I'm playing Geoguessr
It's funny to me how bristishers actually picked up the name of the Ukrainian province Odessa but not odisha
Note that both Chennai and Madras are native
14:08 I'm guessing you're talking about Mt. Chimborazo in Ecuador.
Yes that's the one
3:25 that was a bridge called "Ram setu"
At 23:02 , that's Pakistani Territory of Balochistan, which speaks the Language Balochi, and to everyone's surprise that's also a Dravidian Language.
Your way of saying ganga is the ✅ way
@16:45 and @16:55 yeah , thats a problem 😏
Theres a reason they are trolled with being called converted 😏😏
For 100s of years Buddhists jains hindus jews zoroastrians coexisted but some other faiths have other agendas 😏
Millets are super good. They are very nutritious when compared to wheat or nice
Next do " why is india great : part 2 "
It includes a lot of interesting information about current and past india
Part 1 too?
@@ReldrikGeo part 1 is nice but ain't made that great...2nd one is actually the most popular one
@@ReldrikGeo
No dont
In its native language it is Odisha. You were pronouncing right. 28:08
Don't worry its actually Odisha, not orissa anymore
23:59 There's a nice video by Cogito on Hinduism, and other one on Jainism as well.
Statue of Unity is the Tallest Statue in the World!!
And the World's biggest Hindu temple is "Angkor Watt" in Cambodia (It is dedicated to Almighty Vishnu) later turned into a Buddhist temple
Just like rice n wheat their are other grains like jowar, bajra, ragi are millets which are very nutritional foodgrains
it is old video the TALLEST statue is Statue of Unity
Well save from copyright issues 😅
3:17 that's a very long story😂 can't explain
23:00 somehow there are Dravidian people up north in the Pakistan. Shocking!
The temple you stopped to see was carved from top to bottom from single huge rock ..can you imagine and its not wonder of world 😂
sadly true
React on 'why India is great ' part 1 and 2
Millets are now replacing rice and wheat as it is deemed more nutritious…and growing them requires less water. The recent G 20 summit PM Modi advertised millets and it’s products. And just after when Modi was invited to white house he even claimed that even they were inspired and made all millets based food.
You are right "its Odisha ..not orissa"...i m from here. So dont apologise
1)Its not pronounced as Ganges its foreigners version
It is actually Ganga
2)millets are high fibers grains with high nutrients and 2023 is the "year of millets "all the info on google
3)indo-aryans
-aryans came in india from north of india in ancient time
4)22 official languages and english and hindi are used mostly but different states also have recognised official language

aryan invasion is myth, its already proved
12:21 if i dumb it enough to understand, Jainism is kinda like non violent vegan version of hinduism.
😂😂 what do you do when a mosquito bites you ?
No offense, I love Jainism , some of my best friends are Jain
Jain community alongwith with parsis and Sikh and Brahim Hindus are most respected for their services
Those aren't European plugs. Our plugs are like British but Rounded instead of Squarish
Ah okay
27:38 That's false. India was already pretty much unified by Marathas, before the British came and ended up.
Furthermore, when the British left, they made all the local kings and princes independent, and the reason they aren't a separate country from India is because of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (Statue of Unity person).
Furthermore, the British were the ones who did the partition.
True, if there werent british, marathas wouldve ruled in a similar capacity to the qing
Well india is the name given to us by foreigners....real name of India is "Bharat" .....I'm bhartiya
Took a heavy breath after this video.😅
23:19 He mixed up. India has NO national language.
There are 2 OFFICIAL languages at the national level: Hindi and English
Furthermore, there are 22 languages recognised by the Indian Constitution, as the "Scheduled languages"
In Kerala most of us eat beef, even Hindus.
Great video 😊
Another one siachin glacier is under control of india
How did you display the like dislike ratio? Was this recorded way earlier?
There are extensions you can add to your browser to add that back
Orissa = Odisha; don't worry.
English name versus local name.
Jainism is an Indic/Dharmic religion like Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism.
16:59 you're treading dangerously close to questions of identity and politics here. effectively, the overall consumption of cattle meat is quite low even in Abrahamic communites, particularly in the north. However, as both communites grew in epochs where foreigners of those religions ruled the subcontinent, overcoming the culturual taboos and eating beef became a point of proving your new identity and closeness to the dominant rulers.
Oh okay
@@ReldrikGeo bro just think about it , why was Pak and bdesh created , if India in itself was able to tolerate and adjust itself flexibly to tons of different languages, ethnicities religions ideologies etc .
that's not ganges that's "Ganga" ..I don't know why you foreigners can't pronounce correctly..what if we pronounce church ..chuchu
Yeah I've been pronouncing it Ganga.
Also on mispronouncing words I think at least for me it's an array of sounds that aren't common in my language. I do try to make a effort to pronounce words correctly but it can be difficult at first. I've had a lot of help from everyone in the comments
Its real some part of Kashmir was taken away by Pakistan
Yes statue of unity is largest....this video is old
Is.this guy crazy 🤣
21:45 there is no such thing as Aryan and Dravidian. It's just what brits used to divide India.
Wrong things mentioned are beef means buffalo meat not cow which is sacred to us .
So it's buffalo? Okay
@@ReldrikGeoBuffalo as in Water Buffalo, not Bison.
In Chennai buffalo meat is referred to as “buff” instead of beef.
Because in some places you can get cow meat (beef) too.
@@MoneyMitrovic333 Yeah, cow meat is not illegal everywhere in India, there are some exceptions.
This video is outdated
Yeah it is but I had a lot of people ask me to react to it
U almost pronounced Bengaluru right
Almost lol
Although it's a great video, but most of the data shown here are very old because the video is from 6 years ago. But anyway, great reaction.
Indeed a big part of the information is already outdated , but its still pretty decent video to know basic info about India
Yeah its older but I feel like it is still a good and relevant video for today. Just with some minor corrections which I see many comments have done lol
It is Odisha
I am from Siliguri
Male cow🤣🤣🤣🤣that is OX man not cow
ITS NOT GANGES ITS GANGA GAN- GA THERE IS NO E SO GANGES IS WRONG
There is nothing like Aryan or Dravidian. It was done by the colonizers to divide Hindus and make South Indians feel different from north Indians and thus introduce Christaninty to those states. Read more from indic writers like J Sai Deepak and Vikram Sampat and you ll know the niti grities.
And regional people of Orissa call their state as odisha, like we Indians call our country Bharat
React on Hinduism find the correct video just ask the people we will suggest you.. you will be shocked..and you will love everything about it... Loving your interest
And pls dont go to aryan and dravidian thing we indians didnt know about it untill a german man said about it to divide india and rule..in india aryan means wise man ..people use to give aryan tutle to the wise man in north and the south ...
Bharat is the name of our country....India is a western name given
Jainism is olso a culture.
