Personal tip if you’re coming to Ghana (esp for the first time): if you don’t mind driving long hours, take the bus instead of airplane from Accra to other places (like Tamale and Takoradi) you’ll see so much of Ghana from the towns along the road💯🇬🇭
Also, I worry about safety on the roads, know about some horrific road accidents that have occurred in the past. Sorry, but to places like Kumasi and Tamale, if you can, fly instead.
Love this! I traveled alone to Ghana in 2013 for 3 months. I didn't know a single person and it was an amazing experience! Trying to make it back soon! Love your content!
@@8hrdabes Hey! I completed an internship and met people through work. I also lived with a Ghanaian family who hosted other foreign guests. I also met ppl via going out (Twist, Firefly) Luckily, my friends in the US also introduced me to ppl via whatsapp. Hope this helps!
Hello Venessa, you need to interview mummy as well,, she's also part of the journey , dont you think? we've seen daddy and would like to know mum too..🤔♥️
Vanessa, as always, thanks a lot for your encouraging videos about Ghana. I always tell my children how ironic it is that they, our children who we thought we were trying to provide a better life for by sacrificing to travel to the West, are rather "deserting'''" us here to go back to Africa to live a more laid back, comfortable and fulfilling life. Your dad must be wondering what he did wrong!! Nice gentleman, by the way. I watched your interview with him and I like his worldview. Very progressive and not overly protective of his children. I hope your sister is enjoying her stay in Ghana. My base is at Prampram and I hope you get your land there. The view of the beach and the hilly terrain towards Ningo is beautiful and rivals Aburi. To top it, Bob Marley's wife, Rita Marley lives at Prampram, not far from the beach housing development you visited. Kudos!
Totally agree. I became friendly on three trips to Africa with the drivers. Went on road trips etc and it was fun. They are happy to get a steady job and income for a few days or a week. And tip quite generously as money does matter. It’s a great way to be informed about the culture and what’s going on.
I am planning to travel to Ghana in the coming week and I’m going alone, I would like to know how do you get in contact with the drivers? I would appreciate any information you could give since this will be my first time going thank you in advance
We don't need shoemakers in oilcity taadi, we need wise people to Enjoy our seaport ,and nice beaches, Christmas, which you can't find it in some villages in Ghana, oilcity taadi
SO helpful! Thank you Vanessa. Yes I do "FANCY"🤭 going to Accra because of your help over these past 2 years😃 I hope Ghana's Travel Department has at least recognized your contribution to bringing Diaspora to Ghana. I am from Atlanta USA and was ready from your videos then Covid hit😷. Then my travel buddies started flaking especially cause of SARS Protests in Nigeria. I tell them Nigeria and Ghana are two different countries with two countries between them😅 I will go myself I am ready now.👍🏾🇬🇭🇺🇸
I've also used sendwave back in the days when it was just called "wave" and can confirm it is a very good efficient way of sending money to the African countries that they operate in. Defo would reccomend
Lol she has a white husband you would think they would have enough money to fix that gap in her teeth or does she need a couple more trips to expolite ghana , in order to afford the procedure.

Great idea.
Nah, Most of our towns look the same so after 2 hours it gets boring.

Agree. I Always take the bus to kumasi. Can’t stand planes anyway
