About this channel: I talk about designer and niche perfumes. My reviews include fragrances from brands like Chanel, Guerlain, Tom Ford, Dior, Roja Dove, Hermes, Lancome, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Dusita, Papillon, Parfum d'Empire, Armani, Prada and many more. My favourite notes are oud, vanilla, jasmine, rose, ambergris, benzoin, iris, cedar, vetiver, sandalwood and tobacco. I do most complimented lists, top 5, top 10 and top 20, long lasting perfumes, 5 stars perfumes, perfumes I love, best brands, worst brands, summer scents, fall scents, winter scents spring, scents, sexy scents, etc. I love most fragrance families, especially the leather, chypre, woody, floral and oriental. I also enjoy fougere, citrus, green, fruity scents. Not the biggest fan of aquatics, sweet and gourmands fragrances but will share a few thoughts on them anyway. I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. I love your taste in perfumes. Rarely do I find a reviewer who praises this at or near the top of the Allure line. I love the entire line and can understand why AHSEE is the most popular, but the EDT is my favorite. Your review is excellent and does justice to this fragrance. I just discovered the Allure line 2 years ago, thus I knew nothing of it during its initial release in the late '90s. Despite the criticisms about performance, I still think it's excellent, timeless, and underrated. I appreciate your calling it "one of the best fragrances of the last 20 [+] years." I agree.
Bit late the party here, but...this is a good review! Allure was my first Chanel purchase - way back in 1999, shortly after it was released. It was a potent EDT back then. Its power has been dialled back a bit, but I still think it's relevant in 2022. I just have to apply more sprays. I like the warmth and complexity of Allure. I find that it lingers for most of the working day. It's elegant and classy, but vastly underrated, imo.
Fantastic recommendation. This fragrance brings back some great memories of my teenage years/early 20's spending all night in clubs.
Back then the fragrances of choice for the majority were Joop/Le Male but the girls used to love this.

What I really liked is that you started with the essence of the fragrance: citrusses and vanilla. If we both manage to live to 2270, I'll treat you to a bottle from the top shelf.

Absolutely stunner...classiness in a bottle...of course nobody talks about it,it's not bleu:)... only for true connoisseur.But I also respect a lot edition blanche.

Pour Monsieur is some high level stuff, I own a vintage splash bottle and its amazing, probably one of the best masculines ever created. The new one is very good too and I will probably end up buying it. Its a classic ;)

Man for the price there is no comparison ! Creed makes average scents and ask a fortune for them, I can assure you that the history they claim to have is a marketing tool. Ask ANYONE to show you a bottle that dates pre 1975, it does not exist. That being said Aventus and GIT are the only ones I would buy, yet I would go with Allure EDT all the way. I like it better and girls definitely like it better ;)

@@ushawngooding1295 reformulations are needed so as to comply with IFRA regulations. Since it came out it certainly has been reformulated, even if the Chanel SA will swear on their mother it hasn't. It's part of the game. But it still smells awesome.

I absolutely love Allure for woman. Maybe I should test the homme version as well. For example I do wear Dior Intense and love it. So Allure homme in to test list :)

Hey dimitri , i used an allure bottle in the 90's when i was a kid but the bottle was thin and taller , it smelled great but I doubt it was the men's one
I think it was for women but it didn't smell feminine at all and I didn't know 😂😂😂...it got me a lot of compliments from girls back then ...did u smell it before?
Lmao 😂 the tall and thin bottle is definitely the women s version 😂 and of course women love it when a man wears slightly feminine perfumes, it sets them appart ;) My GF always prefers when I wear unisex fragrances. Haven't tried it but now I'm curious lol

It's weaker than it used to be, but if you apply lots of sprays you'll be good. Also the temperature of the country you live in will play a huge factor. If you live in a hot and humid place, forget about it
@@dimitrisignaturescent1766 thanks a lot. I'm buying 150 ml bottle then (better value for money, and I can reapply easily by carrying a decant). Actually I've all others from Allure line and never gave this one a chance. I did yesterday and it has blown me away with its simplicity and richness. It's the best from the line to my nose in terms of blending. Very refined, perfect for a gentleman. By the way, I'm from India. I'll not wear it in very hot weather for sure. Thanks a lot for responding 🙂

Would you still suggest this fragrance in 2020? It's been watered down and it's performance is way below average. I'm having hard time choosing between Allure or Allure sport or Allure sport extreme.
Hey man, haven't tried the latest reformulation! If you re in doubt I suggest you go with either the Sport or Sport Extreme as they perform much better, I prefer the Extreme

Does the current formulation last longer than a couple of hours though? I've heard it's not long lasting...
Hey man, it depends on how much you spray. If a perfume doesn't last long on your skin you have two options: spray more or spray on your clothes from a distance (to avoid stains).

I own an older formulation and it projects really well, not sure about the new batches though
