About this channel: I talk about designer and niche perfumes. My reviews include fragrances from brands like Chanel, Guerlain, Tom Ford, Dior, Roja Dove, Hermes, Lancome, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Dusita, Papillon, Parfum d'Empire, Armani, Prada and many more. My favourite notes are oud, vanilla, jasmine, rose, ambergris, benzoin, iris, cedar, vetiver, sandalwood and tobacco. I do most complimented lists, top 5, top 10 and top 20, long lasting perfumes, 5 stars perfumes, perfumes I love, best brands, worst brands, summer scents, fall scents, winter scents spring, scents, sexy scents, etc. I love most fragrance families, especially the leather, chypre, woody, floral and oriental. I also enjoy fougere, citrus, green, fruity scents. Not the biggest fan of aquatics, sweet and gourmands fragrances but will share a few thoughts on them anyway. Oud Fleur!!!!!! Got it . It smells amazing and sensual. It's an oud and 🌹 rose blended to absolute perfection
There is no Oud in any of Tom Fords Ouds. Not a drop. It’s just a very talented perfumer who knows how to manipulate the aroma chemicals to make fake Oud. Once u have smelt real Oud. You will easily know when a perfume has real or fake Oud. Most American perfumes have fake Oud. Oud is VERY expensive and most perfumers won’t even bother when fake is easy to make. And most ppl don’t know or care.

Great video! I like ouds from ASQ, they are quite easy for European nose 😉 wearing today Arabian Oud rosewood, a good one to, special when is cold like today.

Will you list Triad, Oud 36 Nuit, or Atomic Rose or anything by Adam or Ensar Oud? I own 5 of those you mentioned. Oud Paloa is skanky and must be carefully applied. So unique. Dusita's offering is a hard one to wear, but, it grows on you. I will purchase The Night now that you sold me on it (thank you bitcoin!). Great video and selections! Thank you.

Ok I'm definitely gonna have to try Our Silk Mood on skin. I'm pretty sure my nose agrees with you. Oud Satin Mood was just too much rose and not enough oud for my liking. Everything else in gonna have to do some searching but it sounds like it will be seriously worth it. Rose D'Arabie was one of the first luxury perfumes I added to my collection. First view, and you just earned a new subscriber my friend!

@@dimitrisignaturescent1766 same to you! I haven't tried enough oud/rose combos to generate an informed opinion, but Zegna's Indonesian Oud stood out to me.
I tried the Roja Dove Aoud, It was okay. I have to use it as a layering parfume with Delina or another Oud or rose fragrance

Nice Video! When Diptyque dropped Oud Palao i was quite shocked. I would never have thought that they put out something so strong and skanky. Expect for O.P. and maybe Benjoin Bohème the brand is normally more subdued.

I love your reviews. You really know your stuff your accent is everything! I have been trying to decide which Oud should be my first try? I think Triad will be everything Bortnikoff sound amazingly delicious luxurious and rare materials, I am particularly in love with Oud and animalic Musk, I want to discover Ambergris also for I love sea salted aromas. So you said Triad has a citric Rose and lots of Oud sounds great mmmmmmmm. I sampled at the store Gueirlan oud fragrances it was powerful sticky wood mysterious, masculine and grande. Would it please be possible for you to mention ideal occasions and seasons for the fragrances you review please? The rendition of Oud and Leather sounds uplifting! I would like to find a frag with Deer musk Cambodian Oud and tobacco.
hahaha thank you ;) If you are looking for deer musk the only brands I know of that use it are Bortnikoff and Areej Le Dore, you should check out Musk Khabib by Bortnikoff and Cuir de Russie by ALD for instance! As for Triad, it has a very unique scent profile, it will take some time before you fully appreciate its complexity
Thank you for reminding me of Cuir de Russie, Adam Oud fragrances sound intense the type of passion I yearn for in fragrances. I wrote Bortnikoff about Musk Khabib last week. I love complexes fragrances, I despise the linear tendencies. Do you think that other Paolo Terenzi fragrances will have his grandfather musk aged in oud that you were speaking of?

Dubhe is similar to Gao by Xerjoff. I find Dubhe oudy & heavy on the saffron. High quality.
What i love about The Night is after 30 min. oud drops in intensity and a velvety rose comes up with a soft sandalwood base. The rose texture is amazing, not many people talk about this.
Check Nebulous by Boadicea. Oud isn't as resinous & aggressive as The Night.

Man...thank you for talking about Oumma..it has to be the smoothest oud perfume ever made,along with Alexandria ii. Very harsh and medicinal in the opening,tho.

I was hoping for an authentic rose oil and real oud perfume, or Attar . I have enough fake Oud perfumes. Yes some are very nice but i want real rose Oud, no matter the cost. I guess i need to check out Ensar Oud. Do you know about Ensar Oud? Can you recommend any?

Was surprised not seeing Sahraa Oud in the top :). I favs are : Roja Dove - Amber Aoud and Kilian - Pearl Oud. Didn`t put my nose on Roja`s gulf collection yet. I bet I will find some winners there.

Umm Roja Amber Aoud is a must mention it’s right up there with UAE
I’d explore some ATH fragrances like his LUNA. I’ll probably get a sample of “THE NIGHT” , but he reviewed it and said the price should be halfed, it’s very strong as he said and it smells very barb yardy.
I absolutely love this list, and your channel. Instant sub and you sir, have great taste in perfumery. I have several of these and for me Dubhe is the king of Ouds.

I got from a Spanish website a sample of Bornikoff - Oud Maximus Autumn 2019, not bad at all.
Don't you feel The Night is overpriced at 11.5 EUR/ ml given that Bornikoff/Dusita are at 7-8EUR/ml?

Also can you do an oud for winter times please? I live in a very cold climate. Thank you. Also I got "Cuir De Russie" by Arrej Le Dore it is nice but I felt no musk in it. It becomes a lot better when I layered with Sir Winston the Tobacco notes of Winston really shows up in an amazing dry down.

Querido Dimitri, what is the thing with certain types of roses that make them ideal for perfume?
The fact that only certain roses emanate a wonderful aroma, try snifing a Centifolia or a Turkish rose, they are miles above your typical Mister Lincoln Rose

Hi sweety. Can u recommend for me a beautiful rose, Oud. Sandalwood perfume . I don’t like the fecal smelling Oud and I know there are beautiful smelling Ouds.
I bought a decant of Guerlain Santal Royal. It is terrible. I have Tom Ford Oud Fleur and it’s ok. Not beautiful enough.
A beautiful rose would be Love Kills by Masque Milano. Non fecal oud, Oud Violet Intense by Fragrance du Bois. Sandalwood, Santal Blush by Tom Ford

I love it. I also am loving Oud Fleur. I have a small bottle for now. I don’t know what’s happening to me, I sometimes can’t smell certain perfumes and other times I can clearly smell it. Thank you so much for the recommendations. I’ll check them out. As for The Night, it’s horrible, nasty stinky cheap Oud. I love Oud but not the cheap stinky Oud. I think Malle uses cheap stinky Oud and charges an outrageous price. A lot of ppl don’t understand that the best quality Oud is beautiful smelling but it’s VERY VERY expensive. Malle would never use the good quality. Sorry I can’t stand The Night, it’s also extremely overpriced.
