My favourite video has got to be you dropping the all the crackers on the floor in the cheese taste video,your face was a picture. I started watching when you sat in that dark room with white rings in your eyes.Listening to you talking about whatever bee is in your bonnet is entertaining and strangely compelling,it helped greatly in the months when I was stuck in bed with a severely broken leg.I look forward to next Tuesday to see what happens next,til then Byee!.

I think the March 2018 differences between England & Canada is what introduced me to your channel by the magic of RUclips algorithms and it must have been the same for a lot of people back then, which is why that video picked up so many hits. Personally i used regularly watch videos on foreigners views of the British but you are the only one i stuck with or subscribed to. Anyway congratulations on the 6 years, here's to the next 6?!?
I'd have to say this one is now my favourite video. You're so happy in this it's great to see. How weird I never noticed the nose ring, probably so distracted by the ring light reflection!

Such a great video, so many people hate seeing and hearing themselves :) can't believe how different you looked back then, i think a big part of it was the way you had your hair, which shown more of the sides of your head, where as later the hair is more forward.
My main take away from watching this is that it's very clear how much your confidence has grown over time. I've been following you since your British Homes Are Weird video
Absolutely one of the best video's! But I'd have to say, being someone who desperately wants to live in England, my all time favorite video of yours... When you were here in Canada, and you shared you visa acceptance video. I cried and laughed with you and also learned a lot about what I truly want in life. I can also refer the Canadienne reacts to snow video with the Beast from the East. My fave, though has to be the first time cooking Yorkshire Puddings. A lot better than my first attempt.... I've been around since early-2019. Without wishing to sound horribly earnest, I got made redundant at the end of 2018 and the first of 2019 was pretty grim for me. Obviously lots of things helped me through that time, but I have to say your videos helped a huge amount. As well as marking the time (oh, it's Tuesday, time for Alanna...) you made me smile and I learned a few things. Thanks for that. I suspect sometimes YouTubing feels like talking into a black hole. Well I'm glad you did. It made a difference. Thanks.
It was definitely early 2018 when I started watching your channel. I'm still so grateful for your insight and sense of humor. It totally got me through long work days and then became my touchstone through the pandy.
Congrats on your 6 years! 🎂🥂 Your cringe face was priceless. As well as your voice seeming deeper, your inflection has changed to a more British inflection; in the early video you seemed to be going 'up' towards the end of a sentence like they do in the States and Australia.
I've seen all of these and I don't think you've changed THAT much! OK yes, you've grown a bit and maybe calmed down a smidge but your presentation style and the little asides and stream of consciousness 'scripting' and lack of pretence is unchanged. You're honest and natural and charming. I've enjoyed your videos from the very start and will keep watching until you either stop or annoy me. So don't annoy me! :D
Hello, Alanna. As I recall, I have watched most of your posts since sometime in 2018. You asked for comments about favorites, I have very much liked and enjoyed every one of them, admittedly some to a greater or lesser degree than others. I've been to Toronto four times for conferences over the years so feel some affinity with you in that and I have found your posts about coping with being in England the first time very helpful for when I will get to fulfill a long-time yearning to visit there. This post is my absolute favorite. Over the years I feel that I have gotten to know something of who you are and seeing you then and your reaction to seeing yourself then and your coming to accept yourself then as you did this post was wonderful. You see, you were a fine person then and you still are, just more mature, as you said, and more polished now and, I think that I saw you take a step toward letting go of some perfectionism. Thanks for sharing yourself and your knowledge with all of us and I wish the very best in all you do, including, I hope, more years of Adventures and Naps.
I remember some videos you did in a long room, maybe the downstairs of a house, with a fireplace down the side(?) and you ate lots of British food. Also liked the ones in a bedroom, i think in Canada, with 2 lamps by the bed (your parents room i think) and you ate lots of Timbits? Also liked your corner sofa days in your old flat. Wow what a journey you/we've been on. When are you going to hold a party or a meet and greet? Or make Alanna: The Movie!
The first one I saw was the Grill Cheese Sandwich one. I'd never watched this kind of video before; I'd never watched food videos before; I'd never watched any kinda video like that before... but there I was. I remember you saying that the light was rather delicately balanced on something or other. I remember that some of the cheese was mouldy, so you couldn't use it. I also remember your Mom calling you during the recording.... and I've never left. I've never left because you come across as so genuine, in a world of over-processed content. Thank you.

One's voice can sound a little different when recorded - probably because we don't hear our own voices as others do. 6:427:5111:30 Those three golden Alanna catchphrases were all born in one video! 9:35 We live and learn, so I see no reason to get angry or hold it against you... You are indeed growing. Like a fine wine, you have been improving with age - most of us do! You've become our beloved CanadaBrit, but you still have the essential Alanna qualities and those will never change or cease to delight. Speaking of fine wines, the taste testing / slowly getting sloshed videos are the stuff of legend! White Claw was a standout in the memory, but I suppose for me the favourite that I keep returning to is the one about getting kicked out of Britain. That's where I "met" you. It gladdened so many hearts that the kicking out was reversed and you came back. To many more years, dear Alanna!🥂

For me, your best vid was your tasting of all things Polish - reactions to their wafers in particular was so much fun. Other than that, nothing to cringe about at any stage in my opinion. We've all gotten a bit older, wiser, more competent at what we do so yes, so you should look back and then say "WOW, look how much better I am now than back then!" - and just about 122,000 people would agree. It was a bit amusing seeing how awkward you look when watching your 2017 and 2018 videos but I think I'd be the same (I don't tend to go on camera but I can think of some). I think my favourite video of yours that I've seen so far is your trip to Canterbury, especially as I've never been there even though it's only 60-70 miles from where I live.

Such a great video, so many people hate seeing and hearing themselves :) can't believe how different you looked back then, i think a big part of it was the way you had your hair, which shown more of the sides of your head, where as later the hair is more forward.

I hadn't realised I had been watching A&N for so long but I remember those old ones with the nose ring and all so I must have. I can also refer the Canadienne reacts to snow video with the Beast from the East. My fave, though has to be the first time cooking Yorkshire Puddings. A lot better than my first attempt.... I remember the first eat this was my initial A&N video as I'd been binging loads of 'Americans Eat British Food' videos and you happened to upload yours - praise the algorithm! I like your "first" video so much that I have watched it three times.
I've been around since early-2019. Without wishing to sound horribly earnest, I got made redundant at the end of 2018 and the first of 2019 was pretty grim for me. Obviously lots of things helped me through that time, but I have to say your videos helped a huge amount. As well as marking the time (oh, it's Tuesday, time for Alanna...) you made me smile and I learned a few things. Thanks for that. I suspect sometimes YouTubing feels like talking into a black hole. As well as your voice seeming deeper, your inflection has changed to a more British inflection; in the early video you seemed to be going 'up' towards the end of a sentence like they do in the States and Australia.
I've seen all of these and I don't think you've changed THAT much! OK yes, you've grown a bit and maybe calmed down a smidge but your presentation style and the little asides and stream of consciousness 'scripting' and lack of pretence is unchanged. You're honest and natural and charming. I've enjoyed your videos from the very start and will keep watching until you either stop or annoy me. So don't annoy me! :D
Hello, Alanna. As I recall, I have watched most of your posts since sometime in 2018. You asked for comments about favorites, I have very much liked and enjoyed every one of them, admittedly some to a greater or lesser degree than others. I've been to Toronto four times for conferences over the years so feel some affinity with you in that and I have found your posts about coping with being in England the first time very helpful for when I will get to fulfill a long-time yearning to visit there. This post is my absolute favorite. Over the years I feel that I have gotten to know something of who you are and seeing you then and your reaction to seeing yourself then and your coming to accept yourself then as you did this post was wonderful. You see, you were a fine person then and you still are, just more mature, as you said, and more polished now and, I think that I saw you take a step toward letting go of some perfectionism. Thanks for sharing yourself and your knowledge with all of us and I wish the very best in all you do, including, I hope, more years of Adventures and Naps.
I remember some videos you did in a long room, maybe the downstairs of a house, with a fireplace down the side(?) and you ate lots of British food. Also liked the ones in a bedroom, i think in Canada, with 2 lamps by the bed (your parents room i think) and you ate lots of Timbits? Also liked your corner sofa days in your old flat. Wow what a journey you/we've been on. When are you going to hold a party or a meet and greet? Or make Alanna: The Movie!

The first one I saw was the Grill Cheese Sandwich one. I'd never watched this kind of video before; I'd never watched food videos before; I'd never watched any kinda video like that before... but there I was. I remember you saying that the light was rather delicately balanced on something or other. I remember that some of the cheese was mouldy, so you couldn't use it. I also remember your Mom calling you during the recording.... and I've never left. I've never left because you come across as so genuine, in a world of over-processed content. Thank you.

You are indeed growing. Like a fine wine, you have been improving with age - most of us do! You've become our beloved CanadaBrit, but you still have the essential Alanna qualities and those will never change or cease to delight. Speaking of fine wines, the taste testing / slowly getting sloshed videos are the stuff of legend! White Claw was a standout in the memory, but I suppose for me the favourite that I keep returning to is the one about getting kicked out of Britain. That's where I "met" you. It gladdened so many hearts that the kicking out was reversed and you came back. To many more years, dear Alanna!🥂

For me, your best vid was your tasting of all things Polish - reactions to their wafers in particular was so much fun. Other than that, nothing to cringe about at any stage in my opinion. We've all gotten a bit older, wiser, more competent at what we do so yes, so you should look back and then say "WOW, look how much better I am now than back then!" - and just about 122,000 people would agree. Keep doing what you are doing - its been a pleasure following your presentations for years now and I hope they continue for years to come! xx

It was a bit amusing seeing how awkward you look when watching your 2017 and 2018 videos but I think I'd be the same (I don't tend to go on camera but I can think of some).
